Seems like the person did not know what was causing my issue and only went to a default list of things to recommend.

The sweep made a point of explaining the process well. I really like the fact that once you have your chimney cleaned (and certified) by them, you can have a yearly rate of $145 even if your chimney has a lot of build-up the next year. They worked hard to accommodate me, even though the original appointment had to be cancelled. My chimney had not been cleaned for a number of years, although used infrequently, so it required extra attention at a higher price, including patching the bricks inside, which required some curing time. Once the chimney was cleaned and lit a couple days later, I realized my problem is the stove baffle system, since it still spewed smoke. The owner of United Services answered the phone on a holiday and talked me through the issue, even offering to send his technician back to help. I need a stove technician, so he didn't come back, but you can't ask for better customer service than that!

Prompt service with a full cleaning. Our fireplaces are our primary source of winter heat. They came out quickly for the annual cleaning and got our chimneys looking like new.

Best experience I’ve had with work at my home from start to finish. Very thorough throughout the entire process from my initial call until the project was completed. Showed me what needed to be done and why. Educated me on maintenance to avoid future repairs. Will be using them again for future projects and highly recommend them

Technician was 45 min late after the 3 hr arrival time window. He had a plausible explanation, but could have called much earlier. Took good care to cover, protect and clean up after the job.

I was told a price on the phone and when the guy did his inspection now it's 300.00 dollars more.(I don't remember his name.). I know I didn't have to continue with it but we had company coming and needed to get it done. I still had to clean off soot left on my hearth. I went on the roof to check the chimney and found lots of black creosote debris from his cleaning on my roof. It will now run down into my gutters when the rain comes. I was under the impression he was vacuuming as he was up there. He did show me cracks that we needed to fix that was on our chimney base. He said his company would come back and fix it for 500.00. I purchased a crack sealing product and it didn't cost over 20.00. I guess I would call our experience "bait and switch". He wasn't dishonest about anything, he did explain everything. I guess I expected a little more.

The technician was polite & seemed to know what he was doing, but the quote was nowhere near the final price we paid. I know it was an involved job but still seemed over-priced. His clean-up inside was very poor. I spent over an hour vacuuming and spot cleaning my carpet to get rid of the soot. Will not use again.
