They did not fix anything. They said they were bypassing my electric-powered gas insert with a remote trying to make me believe there could be something wrong with my electrical outlet. Selling me a remote. I told the man it was gonna shut off after it heats up approx. 25 min. He did not have time to wait around. Charged 634.50 for approx. 20 min. if work. 10 min. after he walked out the door the fireplace shut off and never started again. Called the company and they said they would look into the issue and I have not heard back from them and it is been a week. There is nothing wrong with the electricity to the fireplace. I removed the remote and it ignites the burners but it only stays on for approx 25 min. then shuts off. Seems like it is a heat sensor problem. The person they sent out did appear to know what he was doing. He was on his cell phone being instructed on what to do the whole time. I felt ripped off. It was a horrible experience and would not recommend this company.

Good experience with United Home Services for a repair and cleaning in our chimney. There was an issue and they rushed back to fix.

I needed a chimney inspection and possibly cleaning. They were very quick to respond and come out. They were here all of 10 minutes. They said we didn't need a cleaning, so only charged us for the inspection. He glanced fairly quickly up the chimney from the inside and said everything looked good. I pointed out a couple of cracks/holes in the wall and after looking at those he changed his mind that no, our chimney is not safe for fires. If I hadn't pointed that out, would he have given us a positive inspection report? Also, I never got any sort of report about what they inspected. I paid for a "16 point inspection", but I have no idea what the 16 points are. The invoice has my receipt and a single sentence stating the chimney is not safe for fires. Overall OK service and good value for the price. I'm simply not sure they can be fully trusted to do an inspection.

Informative, friendly, to the point and easygoing.

They were very professional through the whole process and communicated what work needed to be done to fix/water proof my chimney and put a new cap on it showing you before and after pics. They got it all done in a little over a weeks time and it looks great, canâ t wait to use it. I would definitely recommend them.

They arrived on time, friendly and professional. cleaning the wood stove stacks was quick, they kept the work area clean. Our home has two wood stoves they were in and out in less than an hour.

United Home Services showed up on time, friendly, & professional. They took care of blocked chimney quickly and and left no mess. I would definitely recommend their services to family and friends. $500 to inspect, clean creosote blocked chimney & clean inside of fireplace.

We used this company last week for a chimney inspection and cleaning - we bought our home early 2021 so wanted to have it cleaned before using. I was contacted via text message to set up the appointment. I believe the owner is Mike. He was nice to work with and responsive. He quoted 145 for the total cleaning. The day of the appointment, two guys showed up. The younger guy came inside and took pictures of the inside of the firebox/wood stove etc. He then took pictures of the roof/chimney area and came back to show us the findings. We were told that we had a lot of build up and would need a deep cleaning which was quoted at 350 instead of the 145. He then explained that some of the flashing around the chimney base should be updated as well as some minor cracks in the bricks to ensure good heat retention and also told us that the clay/concrete flue top needed to be sealed with a **special sealant**. He told my husband that they were having a special and they could do all of the work for $1,800... we asked specifically if these things were necessary and if they would deem the fireplace unsafe and not usable if we chose not to pay $1,800 that day. He told my husband that just doing the deep cleaning would be fine and it would be safe to use without the other work, but encouraged us to keep the quote and call them later on for the work to be done. The deep cleaning took a whopping five minutes and the younger guy came inside and he and my husband both commented on how little residue was inside the wood stove for it needing that deep clean. Today we are having a major storm. About an hour ago, there was a large crash on the back patio. The metal chimney cap FLEW OFF of our roof and onto the ground! When we went outside to get it, all of the bolts were undone/unscrewed (extended), meaning, the chimney cap was never tightened back down onto the top of our chimney! It was just set on top. If one of our dogs had been outside, with the speed of the wind and the force that the cap came flying down, it could have killed them or, hit one of us. Your guys need safety training and checklists to follow to ensure that things are completed. This review is as nice as can be considering that this situation was dangerous and could have resulted in loss of life or property damage had that cap flown into a window, a neighbors yard, a car or a human being. Oh - My husband climbed onto the roof to reattach the metal chimney cap because we have to use the wood stove for heat during this weather/power outage. That alone was another level of danger that never should have happened.

Quick and efficient. Will use them again for future chimney repair. We would definitely recommend them to friends and family. Great work guys!

Paid $150 for chimney inspection and cleaning, and I'm totally satisfied. They were able to come out quickly, and the guy who did the job was friendly and quick! We'll be using them in upcoming years as long as we're still in a place that has a chimney!

These guys are the BEST, once they arrived they went right to work. Their teamwork was outstanding, their knowledge was obvious, their customer service admiral. I would definitely hire again. These guys were pros.

The technician was first rate. My fireplace ignitor was defunct and he even ran to the store to buy batteries for it. He had the unit in perfect working order quickly and with no mess whatsoever.

Wow. Wow wow wow. These guys are knowledgeable, fast, friendly, hardworking, helpful, really everything you’d want in someone working on a potentially very dangerous piece of your house. David, Antonio, and Gustav all came to our house and quickly identified all issues and potential fixes for our 60 year old fireplace. They told us which repairs were essential for safety, and which ones were nice-to-haves. They cleaned our entire system, replaced the crown, and fixed all the things that previous owner had done himself and were just not safe. David, Antonio, and Gustav were always polite, forthcoming, genuine, and professional. I will be hiring them again for anything else that crops up with our fireplace and chimney. Thanks guys!
