Shawn was very professional. Didnt start work until explaining everything and the cost. He showed us everything he was doing and even let my 3 year old watch, which she loved. Highly recommend for quality of work, cost, and professionalism!

Firstly, the worker subjected me to extended services/ at a high cost, in a salesman effort. Secondly, the dead animal removal seemed very suspicious. The animal, a dead bird, was very fresh. There was no soot on it and it was found in the fireplace which had recently been cleaned. Our chimney inspection specifically called out the location as in the chimney. ??

Amy is who I spoke with initially and she asked me directly if I needed them to go up in the roof. I told her no, there was no reason. She said it would be $145 for a cleaning and inspection. When they got out there not only did the tech go on the roof he told me it would be an additional $450 to clean. I told him no that was not what was discussed. I called the office and left a message with my concern and a man called back and refused to listen to my concerns. We was talking over me the whole time and stated “well we have never had an issue before”. So I said never mind and hung up. When the tech was done he left soot all over the decorations and floor in my living room. Completely unhappy with the service and professionalism of this company. Actually shocked it is on the home advisor website 😔

I was told that to clean my chimney it would cost $145.00 but when the guy came out he wanted to do a $600.00 plus job. I kept telling him I couldn't afford that. I started to tell him I was a senior and he said, "I can tell that!" I was trying to tell him I was on a fixed income but I didn't care for his remark. No respect, would not use them again.

My whole experience with this company was horrible from beginning to end. They set up an initial time but couldn't make. They waited until the last minute to let me know they wouldn’t be out that day, and then it took them 10 days to make it out. When they did send someone out, he didn't know how to turn on the fireplace and said it would require someone who worked with gas, as all he did was clean the fireplace. I asked what the button below the firebox was. Turns out it was the ON button. Once he flipped it the fireplace lit right up. He left it dirty, though. He didn’t use anything but water to wipe the glass down, which was all that he attempted to clean; even then, the glass was still dirty. He didn't touch the firebox or the logs inside. He claimed to have used some chemicals which allegedly cost $400/gallon (I'm not making this up), which, he says, is why my cost was over double what I was quoted. Worse yet, he failed to wipe down the outer hearth, which I only learned of after my toddler was around it and came away with blackened hands and feet! All in all, my experience with United Home Cleaning Services was horrible and I am asking for my money back so that I can hire another company to complete the job I hired them to do. I would NOT recommend them.

It was very easy to schedule time with United Home Cleaning Services. They came out for a chimney inspection / cleaning and did a wonderful job. Great work, on time, and very professional. I will use them again in the future for chimney cleaning needs.

It was great (and overdue) to have our chimney cleaned, they made it easy to understand how the process would go. The cost went over the original quote but mainly due to us not having had the service in routine; it was a fair price in the end. They were flexible with scheduling and very quick to respond to our invitation to bid. The service was even the same week! My only recommendation is that they might wear boot covers while in the house, I did have some cleanup afterwards from soot. Really great service, and fair pricing. 5 star.

How can $150 turn to $550 so quickly? What is truly the difference in chimney cleaning between these amounts? Does additional chemical treatment truly worth $400??? The amount of time spent on the job was about 0,5h. The quoted amount was about $150. The upsale happened right when the cleaning person was standing right in front of me. I have taken the time off work, he was already there, and of course I said yes. This was never mentioned before, nor was it negotiated. My name was misspelled, that person showed up 1 hour earlier than agreed (what if I was still at work??) and at the end of the day they charged me $605 for 0,5h of chimney cleaning. No one went up to the roof to inspect anything there, it was all done from insides of the dark chimney. I think the chimney is clean now as the pictures were presented to me (were they my chimney's pictures?), but for this amount of money it is better be. I feel used and will never hire this company again.

Company is very service conscientious and strives to make the customer happy. Would definitely recommend them.

It was a great learning experience of how important it is to clean the chimney once every year or so. Plus, I was educated on how to clean my wood stove pipes. So next year I can try cleaning it myself. When I had questions my technician, Shawn, answered them with kindness, respect, honesty, and professionalism. He took his job seriously without cutting corners-which he made clear to me at the start and end of the job. That’s how I perform my job and it was a breath of fresh air to see someone with the same attitude and work ethic. A job well done.

Job was scheduled fast. Gentleman came early, inspected the chimney and informed me that the quoted service would not be enough given the condition of my chimney. He explained with picture why we needed to upgrade service and the risk of not upgrading. He did not put pressure on me and let me enough time to make a decision. Then he delivered the upgraded service from the bottom and the top of the chimney and cleaned in multiple steps to avoid propagating the dust. He was watching for the dirt on his shoes before moving away from his protective sheet. He provided a picture of a perfectly clean chimney.He did stay for me to start a fire and check the draft was adequate and the fumes stays in the chimney which it was. I am satisfied with the service we received and will use them for ongoing maintenance.
