This was my first experience with granite. I did a moderate amount of research before hand to find out about average pricing, turn-around time on installation (which is typically 4-6 weeks based on the other 4 places I called) but, Stone Edge had come out to measure and completed installation all within 1 week immediately after I visited their warehouse on Hubbard to pick out my granite slab. Very fast turn around time on installation which I appreciated. I also spent time reading up on and weighing the advantages of granite vs. quartz countertop (at the end it really comes down to personal preference - pricing and quality are similar). Stone Edge provides and installs both granite and quartz and will help you select what you are looking for. I called on a Monday and made an appointment for the following day to meet Peter at the warehouse on Hubbard. I brought rough measurements with me and pictures of my cabinets and floor so I could select the best color. You can see the full slabs. Peter showed me the basic more modestly priced section and the higher priced "exotic" granite. Then I was left alone to peruse. At this time Peter gave me an estimate which included the installation cost and the cost of the stainless steel sink up front. I could not decide between my favorite 3 granite choices (2 basic, 1 more pricey) so Peter cut me off samples of each to take home with me. He came out the next day to take precise measurements and I gave him a deposit at this time. Three days later he called to set up a final installation date. They came out to install on time and it took about 2 hours to complete the work. I paid the balance remainder at this time. I am very happy with the care and promptness of Stone Edge and would certainly recommend them to anyone who is looking for basic granite counter top installation. The one thing I cannot speak to is their full selection of granite colors. It looked to me as if they carry up to 6-8 different shades/colors. For me, this color range was more than enough as it includes all the typical granite looks from light to dark: with flecks, swirls, or more even-toned. I wasn't looking to spend a fortune or to find some rare/more unique granite look. Maybe they do have more samples if you ask. Frankly, I would have been over-whelmed choosing from over 20 options because I did not know exactly what I wanted yet. However, if you are wanting to have many more options to choose from this may not be the place for you. I briefly looked at their Quartz selection, but not thoroughly since I had already decided on granite and I think there were more in-warehouse options for the Quartz. For me, this was the perfect, stress-free, seamless experience for a first time granite counter top buyer. They were helpful but not pushy and I found their pricing to be on the low end of average of exactly what I had researched and read on consumer reports. Their installation was professional and timely. If you want good quality and no hassle quick service I would definitely recommend using Stone Edge and visiting their warehouse.
