They were very professional, on time, & called to confirm. Their representative was very nice & knowledgeable. He had ideas & pictures of decks they had done. He emailed me a detailed quote the same day, which was wonderful. Many companies take a week or more. We decided to use someone else because we wanted the deck done right away. Samanco's price was very fair & I think they would have done a great job.

Dave & his crews were great. Dave came quickly to give us a quote & the crew started very soon thereafter. We usually had a 2 man crew, except when they put in the cabinets, then I think we had all 4 for a while. Demo was amazingly fast, even the floor, which was awful- glued, screwed, & stapled down! New work was done quickly & with excellent attention to detail (We love Jack! We love Dmitri too!). They all worked very hard & very efficiently. It would have all been done in record time, if not for some setbacks (had to get asbestos removed, structural work done in basement, & we were sometimes slow to get the materials needed), none of which was Samanco's fault. Each time, Dave waited patiently, & got a team back to work quickly. Dave was easy to work with, flexible, & accommodating- when we wanted our regular flooring contractor to put in the new floor, that was ok. Crews were very neat, polite, & arrived on a regular schedule. They do good work.

I asked for an estimate on bathroom remodeling. The estimate ($12,000.00) was significantly higher than other bids I got (almost twice as high). My guesses are: (1) either they don't want to come this far to my neighborhood (I live in Wilmette) so they used a high estimate to deter me (2) their pricing is skewed.

Class act organization from quoting process all the way through the completed work. Dan was very helpful in the quoting process and offering ideas. The workers that completed the work were very professional and did the job in 1/2 the time wuoted. They ended up saving me alnost $150 from the quoted price. I will never use anybody else.

Kirk and the guys were great. They finished the bathroom addition on time and (slightly) under budget. We added on the extra work, and they were very accommodating. All work was done extremely well, and they left the place as neat and clean as possible every day when they left. Slightly more than expected for the additional work, but certainly reasonable.

Remodeling of a small bath room in a condo. Fixing rotten kitchen board. Some small jobs (putting up lights etc)

A good experience, though it's clear Samanco isn't hurting for business this time of year. Other highly rated companies were able to come out within a day or two; Samanco took a week. Receiving the bid took quite a bit longer, too, and it was the highest we received by quite a bit. All that said, Kirk was very knowledgeable and personable, and I would've been very comfortable giving them this job. I'll absolutely talk to them on another project as long as it's the off-season.

Samanco is the best! Their work was high quality provided at a fair price and on time. Throughout the time we worked with them, they were highly responsive to any questions or requests we made. The folks doing the work were always on time, and very friendly and helpful. If anything we asked for was outside the original scope of the work, Dan quickly provided a cost for the extra work before we had to decide whether or not to do it. I would add that the costs for additions to the scope also were very reasonable (and several small items were done at no extra cost). After the work was completed, we found only one item that we didn't think was correct (color of a shower door frame). Samanco came out immediately to check it and then replaced the frame expeditiously. If a friend or family member asked me about them, I would recommend Samanco without reservation, and moreover, would suggest they stop looking around and hire Samanco.

The entire team from Samanco was very courteous. They arrived on time and finished the project within the time frame provided in the estimate. Furthermore, they were open to making changes during the construction process. I would definitely use Samanco for future projects.

Service was prompt, work was done quickly and cleanly. The quality was good. They had to stop at one point because of a leak coming from the condo above-they contacted the owner and found the problem for them. I was pleased that there were no additional charges to the original estimate.

Kirk was very professional to deal with and patient with my questions. The quality of work was excellent and they finished a little ahead of schedule, and were very accommodating in terms of getting it done in our tight time-frame. The work was done in two and a half consecutive days. The only request I would recommend is that they seal off the other rooms from the construction dust. But the promptness, price and quality of work were excellent. We will use them again for kitchen counter replacement because they were so responsive to everything we requested and the quality of work was excellent.

The new porch is fantastic - I can not say enough about the quality of the work and all interactions I had with Samanco Construction. I received the estimate in a very timely manner. The work was completed very quickly. I received a phone call from the office when the work men were tied up one morning for a few hours - communication was excellent. Also - the quality of the work was impeccable and the cost was actually less (by $1,000)than other estimates we had received.

After months of searching for a reliable company to remodel my bathroom, I found Samanco Construction. From start to finish, the Samanco crew was on time and on budget. Samanco wasn't the cheapest bid I received for my project, but it was very reasonable. My gut instinct was to go with Samanco, because Kirk Byers provided a very detailed estimate, and inspired a lot of trust. He even threw in a few cost savings ideas. I feel that I got more than my money's worth with Samanco. Going with Samanco was one of the smartest decisions I've ever made. The entire job, which involved creating an entire new room, took only 6 days to complete. Kirk came to the house practically every day to check on progress. The guys on the work crew really knew their stuff. They were professional and efficient and unobtrusive. I've already started my list of future projects and I definitely plan to work with Samanco Construction again.

Dave was very professional and knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done. We went with a firm that offered architectural and design services as well that was less expensive.

Overall experience was great!! The job was completed on time, by great workers (Dimitri and Boris) who were very pleasant, neat and extremely accommodating. Dave did a great job on the quote and in coordinating the entire process.

VERY CLEAN, CLEANED SITE UP WELL. VERY PATIENT AND HARDWORKING.

The two installers came right on time and took only 45 minutes. They were polite and efficient. We were originally billed $100 even though they quoted their rate at $55/hour. When we explained that it took only 45 minutes, Samanco was willing to waive the entire fee and just asked us to consider them for future jobs! We still paid them $55 because the work was well done. They are very friendly and professional--would highly recommend.

Working with Samanco was a pleasure. Dave Belder's quote was the lowest of three bids received, and he was the most flexible in terms of scheduling. Dave and his team were always immediately available, responsive, and positive, no matter what I asked. They showed up first thing in the morning, and cleaned up entirely before leaving at night. The entire job only took 10 days. In retrospect, I wish I had received some guidance from someone other than Stone City on my choice of limestone for flooring. I felt, at times, that Samanco didn't have tremendous experience with natural stone and perhaps could have steered me away from my choice if they had. But I had chosen materials before hiring Samanco and in fairness to Dave, didn't ask for guidance on this issue. Overall, the quality of work was excellent and I plan to hire Samanco again (in conjunction with a designer perhaps) for our next, even bigger bathroom remodel. We were very pleased with our experience.

Kirk, Jack, Rafy, and everyone else at Samanco have been absolutely outstanding. They started work on our house two weeks before we moved in, and had it ready to go, including a brand-new bathroom and heavy kitchen remodeling, the day we arrived. They've been back a few times since to do additional projects and have been a joy to work with every time. We plan to be in this house for many years to come, and Samanco will be the first call we make every time we do something to it.

DAVE BELDER WAS MY CONTACT AND THERE WERE TWO INDIVIDUALS ON-SITE (JERRY AND TOM?). DAVE WAS VERY EASY GOING AND GREAT TO WORK WITH. WE HAD A FEW KINKS IN THE PROCESS (WRONG TILE WAS DELIVERED, ETC.) AND HE WAS ALWAYS VERY ACCOMMODATING. JERRY AND TOM WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL. THEY WERE VERY GOOD AT IDENTIFYING THINGS THAT WOULD IMPACT THEIR WORK AND LETTING ME KNOW HOW LONG CERTAIN TASKS WOULD TAKE. WHEN I BOUGHT THE WRONG TUB, JERRY EVEN WENT TO HOME DEPOT WITH ME IN THE MORNING ON MY WAY TO WORK SO I COULD PICK OUT A NEW TUB, AND HE TOOK IT BACK TO MY PLACE TO INSTALL IT. THEY DID A WONDERFUL JOB. THIS BEING MY FIRST 'MAJOR PROJECT', I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AT HOW EASY IT WAS TO WORK WITH THEM.

EXCEPT FOR SOME LANGUAGE DIFFICULTY AT FIRST, THINGS WENT VERY WELL. BETTER THAN EXPECTED. POLITE, FRIENDLY, THOUGHTFUL & VERY RESPONSIBLE.

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WE'VE USED SAMANCO (THEY ALSO BUILT OUT BACK PORCH), AND WE FOUND THE OLD ADAGE THAT YOU CAN'T USE THE SAME CONTRACTOR TWICE IS NOT THE CASE WITH THEM. DAVE BELDER IS ULTRA-PROFESSIONAL. HE TREATS CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT AND OBVIOUSLY CARES ABOUT QUALITY. THE SAME CAN BE SAID FOR THE CREW WHO WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE SURE I WAS SATISFIED.

THEY WERE ON-TIME, PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL. THEY PROMPTLY SENT ME THE ESTIMATE FOR WHICH I WAS LOOKING.

EXPLAINED THE EXTENT OF THE JOB TO SAMANCO WHEN I CALLED AND THEY CAME OUT TO BID. WHEN THEY GOT HERE THEY SAID THEY DO NOT DO ROOM ADDITIONS. UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS A WASTE OF BOTH OUR TIME.
