Good experience. Samanco worked fast and did what they said they would, without problems.

Dave Belder and his crew continue to provide excellent service. We have used them in the past and hope to do so in the future. This project involved changing two ceiling fans and three light fixtures. Jack and his assistant were very polite, considerate, professional, and worked quickly. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

The kitchen looks good but this was a terrible remodeling experience for me. Dan was my contact at Samanco. When he came to quote the job, he didn't spend much time on the details. This turned out to be a problem later on because the job had to be changed after demolition and after cabinets had already been ordered. The job actually became easier than quoted (although Dan argued otherwise)and he refused to reduce the job price to accommodate the change. He also charged extra to update the electric even though this was part of the original contract. Dan was difficult to contact. He doesn't provide a cell phone number and he's rarely in the office. We had numerous disagreements that could have been solved with better communication. Dan pulled men off the job when he became upset. I requested not to deal with Dan any longer. Luckily, Dave stepped in and the job was completed. I still ended up hiring another contractor to finish up several items Samanco could not. Workers were professional

Samanco did the work promptly, efficiently, and expertly. Addition of the bolts made joins between what had seemed to be poorly cut lumber tight. Everything fits correctly now. Upon re-inspection, the inspector said, ''Yes!'' as he strode toward our porch. He checked everything out thoroughly, and pronounced it a very good job. The inspector's original report filed in the complaint from the city said that no plans or permits were required. One of Samanco's leading competitors refused even to come look at our porch based in part on that statement. He claimed an inspector was not directed to make such a determination. But, Kirk Byers of Samanco was undeterred, and he proved to be right. The city accepted the inspector's re-inspection report, and complimented us for tending to repairs before the hearing. For that we may also thank Mr. Byers.

The estimate for both jobs was over $13000 ($6775 for the front porch & $6985 for the back). If you look at comparables on Angie's List, you will find that a 6x14 deck should be at least half of that. The prices are completely ubsurd. I think the estimate was high because they knew it was a rehab/flip property rather than a homeowner. If that is the case, boycott this company! All porches should be created equal. I went elsewhere, you should too.

I asked for a quote to replace a leaking flat roof, by the time Samanco made it to our house, I told them I had already decided to go with another contractor. The rep said ''I hope you're not going to get a new roof - it's not leaking''. He said he talked to my house painters who believed that the water was coming in from under the back door. I can only assume that he did not actually get on the roof to see the cracks that the other roofer found. I saw water coming from the ceiling but I suppose he didn't want to take my word for it and instead listened to the painters.

They were great! Polite, punctual, and did very good work. It was like they snatched the picture out of my head. It's perfect. They were very nice. I will use them again.

To say working with Samanco was a pleasant experience would be an understatement. They were on time, below three other estimates, easy to work with, and quality builders. Samanco never pressured us to work outside our means. When I asked if I could do the painting to save a little money, they said sure, no problem. Whatever I wanted to do, they were willing to accommodate. I recommend Samanco every chance I get. Absolutely terrific!

Dan was very professional and Cindi was prompt to return phone calls. The two workers had difficulty understanding English and this led to confusion and delays. Dan did come to check on the workers and did explain problems to the workers.

Someone came out and would not even go inside to look at it because I only had a layout and not architectural drawings and city permits. I explained that I needed to get an estimate for the work first and then I would get the certified drawings and permits etc...He was VERY rude and told me when I was ready to do the project legally then I should call him. And he told me I had wasted his time. It was a very unfortunate experience.

They promptly returned phone calls and within the week I had an estimate and booked the job. A week later they started the work and completed it a day later. They were friendly, thorough and non-obtrusive. Even went so far as the build a makeshift ladder to haul materials up to the second floor from the outside so as not to make a mess throughout the house. Given we were getting married that week, it was much appreciated.

Samanco was very professional - showed up on time, gave a detailed quote, and was very responsive. Their quote, however, was nearly double that of others. Had their quote been in the neighborhood of others I would have strongly considered them.

They came and look over the work to be done; stated they would send us an estimate in the mail. It never happened. No mail, no call - NOTHING!

They are very prompt, both in responding to phone calls and for keeping up appointments. Clean-up after the first day's work was not adequate, with plaster dust on all surfaces. After being told about that, they were more mindful and cleaned up more thoroughly.

Kirk was very easy to work with. The new deck looks great! I would definitely use Samanco again for other projects.

Samanco was very prompt in returning our phone calls. They were very accommodating in inviting us to a project that was under construction to see there work and the materials that they use. Kirk worked us into his schedule earlier than he thought he would be able to. The crew showed up on time, were polite and completed the job quickly. They cleaned up the site and left things in great shape. I plan to hire Samanco to complete a different project on my home.

Absolutely excellent craftsmen. They work very quickly and with great pride. Very practical and helpful design ideas in the beginning and assistance in dealing with fallout from other less professional installers (granite and flooring). The end result is a very beautiful kitchen. Also priced very solidly- not the cheapest game in town but a good value for the craftsmanship you get. I highly recommend Dan Gbur and the Samanco Team. Always here exactly on time, always courteous and professional, good with our dog (!), and always cleaned up at end of day. One challenge is the company does not typically ''do it all'' -- you must go buy your component parts on your own. We had another floor and granite company and we should have worked harder to make sure everything with these other companies was going to be done right not to impact Samanco's work.

I was looking for a contractor who could get a kitchen remodel done in a very tight time frame. Dave from Samanco was obviously knowledgeable and was able to interpret my requests into action. He was clear with his quote and stayed in contact with me throughout the project. He did decline the floor work because of potential unknowns that would be better handled by a floor contractor. His staff were professional, polite, clean, and they bent over backwards to make sure my deadline was met. As was noted in prior reviews, Samanco relies upon the customer to handle acquisition of all major materials and if you aren't into following up on these detail items, this contractor might not be for you (purchase of the cabinets, light fixtures, shelving, appliances, etc). I would go out of my way to recommend Samanco to anyone looking to do any home remodeling work.

Let me say it again! Dave Belder and his crew were great! They are very hard working and professional. Some of the projects they worked on: BATHROOM: Installed updated cabinets/sink along with removing old flooring and laying down a complicated floor tile design. CLOSETS: Removed the old rods/shelves and built an updated space-efficient system in 2 small closets. SLIDING DOORS: Installed a shoji/sliding door system using my design plan. Overall, a very pleasant experience. We hope to work with them again for future projects.

We are truly enjoying our new living space outside. The workmanship was great, and the company was very good to deal with. Would use them again.

New vanity and counter top was a tricky install because of space issues, but they were able to work it out very nicely. They were very flexible with the new mirror. When the old mirror came off, we discovered missing wall tiles that the new mirror would not cover, but the lead crew member was willing to go out with us to pick up a larger replacement mirror at the local home improvement store that covered up the missing tiles. Great work. Fast and punctual. This is the second bathroom I have hired them to remodel.

Company responded timely in terms of both phone and showing up for the estimate. Dan Gbur performed the estimate. Dan listened to what I conveyed, and provided pricing information. As I am not an expert in construction nor interior design, I was looking for a bit more direction, but for someone that knows what they want done I think Samanco would be a good fit. I liked the fact that they emailed me the estimate when requested to use email. Not all contractors are computer literate, and for me, this was helpful. Their price seemed high, but it was not the highest. However, the higher price contractor was willing to do more work so it's hard to say. What I would say is that I would not hesitate to call them again, perhaps for a job which I'm more confident in knowing exactly what I need done. I will also say that I was very confident they would be able to get whatever work done they estimated. Good communications as well.

The carpentry crew arrived promptly, worked quickly & efficiently, exercised unusual care in performing the work, cleaned up remarkably well, and even said ''thank you''. I feel we got more than our money's worth on this because of their suggestion to use cedar 2x4 boards for replacing a trap door; their finishing detail on the steps and guard rail on a rather difficult turn; their understanding of what I was trying to achieve in a small space; and the incredible craftsman-like filling in of the wood fence. The deck cleaning was an extra touch done after some house remodeling was done that I very much appreciated.

I called and asked for a bid on my kitchen (full rip out and remodel). He was nice and called to let me know he was running late, very personable but he rushed through the visit, only eyeballing everything. The estimate came in at nearly double what two other contractors bid for labor alone, and around what another had bid including materials. Like an earlier member said, his pricing is skewed, or he didn't want to do my job (was in the city, mid North).
