The receptionist was pleasant when I called, asking me when I would like to have an appointment. I listed some possible times such as first thing in the morning or the early evening. Every time I proposed she said wouldn't work. Then after I asked her when they would take appointments she finally told me they only make estimate appointments between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Why couldn't she tell me that up front?! I am not going to take a whole day off from work for an initial estimate, especially from a company I already have a negative impression of. She offered me a Saturday appointment but then she took it back (twice!) saying that they wouldn't be available until three weeks from now. This is not the kind of business I'd want to work with.

Samanco did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them. Dan got the quote to me quickly and followed up. Dimitri and his father were always on time, were craftsman at their work, very pleasant to work with and cleaned up when the work was completed.

His workmen were pleasant, conscientious, and diligent workers who would not even accept a cup of coffee. They were on time and finished their work when promised. We were very pleased with their work and with his prices. Dan even had them do a few little added jobs for us non gratis. We will be continuing to have Dan from Samanco Construction do work for us, and would recommend him to anyone.

From the estimate visit to the completion of the job to the follow-up after the job, Samanco and Dave Belder have been great. Because we have newborn twins, it was important to keep dust, debris and noise down. Dave's crew (Rick and Mannie?) were outstanding. They were always punctual, very clean, polite, and skilled. Several times they assisted for free on side projects that were above and beyond the job (patched some drywall and water damage in other rooms; replaced wrong-sized disposal that I bought). They were so reliable that we added some other work. Dave has continued to work with us to resolve some small lingering issues (two cabinet doors were not delivered on time and Dave offered to install them well after kitchen construction has been completed; breaker in kitchen occassionally tripping).

They were very knowledgeable, we'd call them again to bid other work for us.

My overall experience with this company was a complete delight. There was positively no clean up by the customers (me) at all. Everything was cleaned up and put in garbage bags and put out by the outside garbage bins.

Though the representative was punctual in both the appointment and providing the estimate, he stated that he would not obtain necessary permits to do the project. The estimate was very high and did not include any itemization of different costs, making it difficult for me to compare it to other estimates I had received.

Dave Belder came out to give us a quote. Dave didn't offer as many comments on our proposed work as other contractors, and we weren't sure what to make of that. However, Samanco could start right away, and even though they weren't the cheapest bid (but still competitive) we went with them, in part because of positive comments on Angie's List. Samanco completed all the work in a little over 2 weeks. They worked every day, except some weekend days. Dave was in constant contact, and met with us on site to go over the work several times. Dave AND the workmen were simply amazing. Our bathroom is beautiful, and they were professional in every way. We now have more work, and are calling Dave Belder and Samanco again. We have recommended them to friends, and they also have had similar good experiences. FYI This work was done almost a year ago. Our first recommendation never was posted by Angie's List. We thought Samanco was so good that we wanted to make sure to post again.

Kirk Byers was our primary contact and was prompt, friendly, and knowledgable. He provided a detailed estimate and was very flexible in scheduling the project. Overall, the project went very well and was completed on-time and on-budget (we paid $200 less than the cost shown with an Angie's List coupon). The work was completed in one day (the estimate was a day and a half) by a crew of three. The crew was prompt and after completing the project, they left everything spotless. Two weeks after the work was performed, we easily passed the city's re-inspection. I would highly recommend Samanco for future projects.

They were timely and always cleaned up well. The workers were professional. Dan came out and inspected the work after it was done and to collect payment. They did a great job matching colors and materials. I plan on hiring them again.

This was the best experience we have enjoyed with any outside service provider or contractor. They understood our budget, created a plan to meet our objectives and executed the plan in a most professional manner. They were prompt, courteous and attentive to all of our needs. They managed the various sub-contractors without any worries or concerns on our part. The work reflected skilled craftsmen that took pride in completing the job on time with incredible attention to minimizing any disruptions to our family. The workers were very professional, courteous and reliable. The project was completed as planned and without any hitches. Their focus was our satisfaction. I would highly recommend them for any projects. They will be our first and only choice for any projects in the future. It is not often that one hears that a remodeling project was truly an enjoyable experience form beginning to end.

Almost too good to be true - but it's true. They were amazing. Work was completed in less than three weeks. They worked every day - all day. Bathroom looks fantastic - really great work. I was expecting the typical nightmare remodel and instead it was a great experience. They covered our bed and bedroom furniture every day so we could still sleep in our bedroom at night. They removed all the debris and garbage. I would recommend them to anyone and use them again in a heartbeat.

The project did not go well. There were communication problems. I wanted the water pipes in the bathroom updated while the wall was out. They did not do this and had to rip out and redo some plumbing work about the third day of work. They rushed through the work and completed in 6-7 days. On further examination, the pedestal sink was not stable and was pulling away from the wall. It was not bolted to the wall with screws. They simply sat it on the pedestal and put caulk behind it to hold it up. There was not alot of attention to detail with problems in the tiling around the window. They came back to try to rectify the sink problem, but just wanted to leave it as it was and add more caulk. The goal seemed to be to patch it together and move on. When they left having "fixed" things, I noticed the sink was leaking and water was accumulating on the floor behind the sink. They had to come back again. The end result was less than ideal.

I wanted to get a bid from Samanco based on their rating/reviews. I left 2 messages for Samanco before they returned my call. The estimate given was higher than competitive bids, so I chose to go with another contractor.

Samanco provided a detailed estimate in a timely fashion. Due to price considerations, we chose a different contractor.

Prompt response and came out quickly for estimate. On time, pleasant, but turned down the estimate as it was about $8,000 higher than other bids I received. Also, estimate did not include break-down of charges as I requested.

Although I did not hire Samanco, I will definitely consider doing so for our next project. They came out quickly and provided a detailed estimate for the work. Dan was easy to talk to and had some good suggestions for handling our tiny bathroom. The quote was competitive, but we went with another highly rated Angie's List member who charged a little less and was able to schedule our project for a month earlier.

They never called back. Evidently, Dave never "drove by," and, that was about four months ago. Maybe he's still en route!

Very courteous on the phone. They didn't do that type of work, and couldn't provide a referral.

Amazing work. They were totally responsive to my initial calls for a bid. Gave me a really fair price and come out immediately. They did all the work in 1 day and the workmen and supervisor were there early and worked non-stop until the project was done. They encountered some problems with the porch they weren't expecting and resolved them really well and we couldn't be happier!!!!!!

Cindi who took my call requesting an estimate was polite and efficient in scheduling an appointment. Dave the estimator arrived promptly. My job was a "tricky" one, requiring a good deal of repair to an existing deck, and there was much to discuss. Dave answered my questions and offered suggestions, but I didn't get them pression that it was his "favorite" assignment of the day. He agreed to email me a proposal. Unfortunately, he sent it to the wrong address and it took me several more days and several more phone calls to finally get it in my hands. When it came it was not exactly what we had discussed and more than I was prepared to spend. However, based on other AL reports, I might try them again on another project.

A representative promptly returned my call but refused to do come out and look at the deck or give any sort of opinion on the deck's construction. We finally found a structural engineer who is coming out to perform an inspection.

Seemed decent, but price was too expensive.
