custom cabinets
+ -1 moreI kept leaving messages. Finally someone called me back. I described what I wanted done and also emailed him some pictures and a sketch. He said he better come out and look. But he was going on vacation and never called back.
Description of Work: I wanted to have a small cabinet made to hide a wine cooler.

+ -1 moreHe did a nice job and finished in one day. The furniture was professionally finished and I would use him again. His estimate was 50% less than the next highest I got.
Description of Work: Retana cut down 3" off three bar stools and a console table for me.

custom cabinets
+ -1 moreThey kept to the schedule that we had agreed to and built the cabinets at their shop. Sr. Retana is very detail oriented and he took extra steps to make sure we were happy with the job. This is an old house (1927) and the installation was challenging because the walls are not flat, etc. This added extra time for installation. Plus the power went out in the entire neighborhood when they were about one hour from finishing, forcing them to come back another day. In spite of it all they stuck to their original quote and did great work. They did a great job and I'd recommend their work to anyone looking for fantastic custom carpentry work.
Description of Work: They built custom corner cabinets in our kitchen and trimmed out three windows, a big radiator and a door to match. They stripped and refinished the original divided glass cabinet doors that we had wanted to keep.

+ 1 moreHe gave me a free estimate for building a built-in bench, or banquette, in my kitchen and then built a small cabinet after completing the bench. He did an excellent job. He was prompt, fast, and precise. I later hired him to refinish my kitchen cabinets and they are fabulous! He is very knowledgeable about carpentry, restorations and design.
Description of Work: Salvador built a cabinet and banquette in my kitchen.
