We researched on Angies List and chose Resolve. Called Mike and he was able to come out that afternoon. Mike was very clear that his goal was to solve the problem and not come back -- although he would do so if necessary. Prior to talking to Mike, we called Terminix who only seemed to be interested in signing us up for a multiple visit package. So, I was quite happy with his message. Mike came, and was very thorough. He set traps and sprayed in our kitchen, outside the perimeter of our house, in our laundry room and by eaxh door leading from the outside. We have not seen an ant since. Later that week, we referred Resolve to my aunt who was having a bed bug issue that Terminix had not resolved after multiple visits. My aunt hired Resolved. Again, Mike was very thorough. He even checked my mom's apartment (she and my aunt share a two flat) . My aunt has not had any issues with bed bugs since Resolved performed at her home.

Called them from looking up an exterminator on Angies List. Called and got straight through to a technician who said he could be there that day, as bedbugs were an important problem to address. Scheduled a time with my tenants, got over there, THREE TIMES to help out. Good pricing, responsive and responsible service.

Great. He pointed in minutes that there is no way what I was seeing was termite damage, was gone in 5 minutes and didn't even charge me.

They had to come back 3 time before the bug were gone completely. Mike was very nice, friendly and professional and came back each time without any delay.

From my tenants prespective it went well except she had to call them back because the bedbugs were still in the carpeting. The second application and removal of rug seem to have done the job. I think they did a pretty good job.

I live in Wicker Park and had a rat entering my apartment. The rat had chewed a small hole in the wall behind my stove and would come in a play jungle gym behind my stove and fridge. I saw him a few times when I pulled the appliances out; he would just sit there staring at me but I had no idea how to catch him. Through my landlord, I got in touch with Resolve. I work nights and sleep during the day, so I was glad the Resolve guy could come at pretty much any time I needed. I was thinking they would come out and lay down some poison pellets, but their work was much more thorough. I found out that the rat was coming out of an open sewer in the crawl space of the building. With the use of a small camera, they were able to probe the pipe and see where the opening was. They dug under the building to where the opening was and fixed the pipe to avoid any further rodent intrusions. The Resolve guys told me that there may still be a rat in the building or walls somewhere that got through before the opening in the pipe was sealed. I told them that I didn't want to kill the rat or have to deal with the smell of a decomposing animal, so they left me a live trap and told me to call if I caught anything and they would come pick it up. The next morning, the rat that had previously been in and around my stove and fridge was in the live trap. I drove the rat to a nearby empty field by the river and released it, unharmed. My landlord payed the bill of course. I believe the total cost of all services was around $1800, and I have not had any rodent problems since. The comprehensive strategy was designed to give my family full peace of mind, so, it entailed an interior pipe video search, identifying the rat entrance areas and potential nesting and estimating a total population. All precautionary measures were taken to keep the children safe, including introducing us to outside workers who could extract soiled materials from the crawl space. They also provided a vendor for a dumpster. The problem was rooted in an antiquated plumbing system linked to an outside city of Chicago sewer, which allowed for entrance. Once the problem was identified and the diggings and extractions were projected, we were told of the potential high end costs (and the result was less than projected) so there would be no surprises. They worked with us to avoid the use of poisons, which was more difficult but worked well and alleviated our fear of having rotting carcasses behind the walls. The digging revealed broken pipes, that, once repaired would best be complemented by a tee cap for future entry. Along the way we asked the 19th ward committeeman to meet the workers to gather important information for community members. The workers were exact in their description of how the rats got in and what is common to our house and others invaded in the area. They were also able to dispel myths and common misunderstandings about rodents. The ward office greatly appreciated the information. Once the new piping was put into place and the cement floor finished, the workers returned for shorts shifts over the next days to confirm eradication and check the traps. Because a litter was left behind, the workers were intent on providing some certainty to us. While our kids are young, they were never paranoid during the process. My wife, on the other hand, might have gone a little stir crazy had it not been for the even keel nature of the workers and their level of confidence finding a solution. My wife recommended them to a number of neighbors, all of who were completely satisfied with the work and outcome.

It was an excellent, smooth experience. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and reasonably priced and the owner is a pleasure to deal with. I travel on a weekly basis back and forth from Chicago to New York as a concert violinist. About one year ago I started to notice that I would have these large red bite marks on my back and around my waist. I immediately thought bed bugs, but a dermitoligist thought the marks might be related to stress. For a period of about three months, I continued to pursue other possible causes of the bites, including bed bugs. I called in what I believed to be a very reputable pest control company. The day afer the extermination I saw a live bed bug on the wall near the ceiling. It was alive and well, so I sprayed it with the spray I purchased at Home Depot and kept it for my landlord. We used the building's regular exterminator at first, but after several visits I was still getting bitten. I told our landlord that the exterminator was not very knowledgeable about bed bugs in my opinion. He was no where near as thourough as the next experience we had. My landlord told me to call whatever company I chose, so I went with Resolve after reading a review on Angie's List. We were very happy that they could come out the next day. Service was extremely thorough and to this point we have had no issues.

I found this exterminator AFTER wasting $350 on another exterminator and trying doing things on my own for bedbugs. Michael was very responsive. With my past 3 exterminating jobs (one bed bug, one mice, one rate), he killed the problem in one visit. However, with my first bed bug job, he came back a couple times...always within 24 hours within my call for any signals of bedbugs. Michael's price is not the lowest, but sometimes he gives discount. He is definitely professional, EFFECTIVE, and trustworthy exterminator and is on my top contact list.

They gave us a long preperation list befor ethey came. Service took about 3 hours total. This was mare than three times longer than the other company! They were very professional and they did every room. Even though we were only getting bitten in my bed room. We have not been bitten since they came! I can finally sleep a good nights rest.

We already had all our stuff bagged up, so the preperation was minimal. The guy came in and sprayed a liquid much like the last company, but he took his time. He actually put the bed against the wall and treated under the material of the box spring. He also turned the couches upside down and did inside. We put white sheets on the first night to check for blood stains. So far it looks like the bed bugs are finally gone.
