We called Power Plumbing for emergency, evening service. The woman who answered our call quickly connected us with the plumber on call who came out to our home immediately following the job he had been working on. We had a leak in our basement ceiling that turned out to be a result of a problem with our A/C unit. The plumber who came out was more than up to the task of locating and fixing our problem. We had planned to have a plumber out anyway (albeit at non-emergency rates) and he was also able to help us with some of these less pressing issues. In fact, for a couple of them, he told us how we could do the work ourselves so that we could save money! We were very pleased with the level of service and will definitely use Power Plumbing again, though we hope to avoid the cost of evening hours.

I cannot argue with their competence. They know what they are doing, I think they were all union guys, not sure on that though. They had to make a couple of trips, it wasn't an easy job, and they duplicated what they did the first time because the second crew didn't know what the first crew had done, but all in all they tried hard not to waste time and did a great job trying to keep the cost as low as possible considering the screwed up, unknowable situation we were dealing with. I'm always looking for a better price but sometimes you have to pay if you're dealing with a situation like ours. In total, spent about a day on my project. I would definitely recommend them.

It was a major job where they had to move the piping and everything. They did excellent work and we definitely got more than we paid for. The workers are detail-oriented and explain everything involved in what would need to be done. They take care of their people. Their prices are very reasonable and are much cheaper than other companies we have used. Time-frame was kept and job was wonderful! They give you a heads-up about holes in the wall so you are aware of drywall work that you will need done. They do this before continuing with work. They all act like a family and you can see their bond while they work.

Arrived on time. Plumber was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Monday July 18, am: Found company in Angies List. Called and spoke with Rae Lynn who assured me that a plumber would be at my door at 8:00 on Tuesday, unless she called me back. Explained that rate was $150.00 hour less 10% Angies List. Tuesday July 19. 9:30: No plumber by 9:30. Called Rae Lynn, who seemed not to remember saying she had no one to send that day, when I reminded her of conversation, she replied someone would be there within 45 minutes. Tuesday 11:45: Mike arrives. After inspecting, he found the issue was nail in PVC pipe, and the slow leak took about 5-6 years to bleed through drywall with mold. Instructed me to immediately put 2 fans in bathroom and tightly seal door, and one fan in basement pointing up to floor. He told me he could return Thursday to repair, that it would be a 2 man job, $270. hour 8 hours, but he would give me a break and do it himself, 4-5 hours $270.00 an hour. He said the mold was not over large area and he would be able to tell us exactly what to do to fix ourselves. Wed 10:00 am: Mike calls me at work, tells me to call Mark at Alliance, mold is serious, Mark will provide free estimate, but tell Mark that Mike gave his name. Wed am: I called Rae Lynn (twice) to ask about $270. charge, when she quoted $150. She told me hurriedly she would credit overcharge, correct rate is $150.00 less 10% -- no apology or explanation. Wed afternoon: Mark from Alliance comes out, inspects provides detailed (and complicated) estimate. Thursday:am: Mike arrives, fixes leak by replacing pipe, removing damaged dry wall, and removes clog. Took about 2 hours. Gave us bill for $350. which included a credit for previous overcharge.

Overall, they did good. I just think they took a little bit too long to do the job. They were here on Thursday and had to come back on Saturday. In replacing the kitchen faucet, when they left, there was an attempt to wash the dishes, but they didn't put the plumbing under the sink back effectively enough, so water leaked out from under the sink. But they came back on Monday and fixed it.

I was transferred numerous times over a period of days before I finally got an estimate of approximately $870.00. I thought that this was an odd estimate, given that they gave it over the phone, without seeing the sump pump and valve in person. When the plumber arrived, he said that this was a much more extensive job (no surprise) and that it would require significant work. He was going to have someone from his company call me and give me an estimate. Again, after several days of waiting, I did not receive a call. I called them and spoke to a gentleman who said that he would come out "Monday or Tuesday" to take a look at it. At this point, I had to look into other alternatives. Maybe this company is better with other customers issues, but my specific project was very poorly handled. If you have a big job, look other places.

Best plumber experience ever! I called on Friday afternoon about a drain and garbage disposal problem, and I luckily got an appointment the next day at no extra charge for weekend hours, as promised in their description. Mike called half an hour before to let me know he was on his way, and he arrived 15 minutes before our noon appointment. He was quick and workmanlike, explaining what he was doing as he went along. Then I remembered a milk carton cap may have found its way onto the blades - he found it, fished it out, cleaned up after himself, set the reset button on the garbage disposal and all was working. He also tested the drain by filling up the sink (it's a huge sink) and running the disposal just to double check there were no other problems. He then pointed out the reason for the low water pressure on the faucet and told me that brand of faucet offers lifetime replacement of the head, also is a sprayer, which was cracked inside, so I'll have that done at no cost thanks to that information. Mike was going out to his truck to get his paperwork and even stopped to open the door for the grocery delivery guy. They may cost a little more, but I really dislike do-overs, who has time for that, and I have experienced the $90 an hour folks who take two hours to do a one hour job. Really great, fast, friendly service!

I noticed a small leak in my basement which was originating from my upstairs toilet. James from Power arrived as scheduled. After James visually confirmed the leak, he pulled the toilet, pulled out the old putty, put in the new putty to reseal to the waste pipe and reset and reinstalled the toilet. There have been no signs of any leaks since. Nice job at a fair price.

I talked to Stephanie. She said she would call and setup an appointment. I am not sure if they called due to being out of town.

These guys are great. We've used them many times for all kinds of plumbing needs, and their people are really good (only one time was I not totally thrilled with the tech)... nice, experienced and professional. This time was no different. The tech, Levon (sp?), was great... explained everything, answered questions and was fast, thorough and did a very good job with a great can-do attitude. I highly recommend these guys.

John did an excellent job of explaining the work that was needed. He drained the water heater and completed the work well within the estimated time. John was knowledgable and efficient. Great to work with. I would definitely use this company again!

The last time they came out, I was over charged. I called the company and the plumber said that he made a mistake on the bill and they made an adjustment. The other times that they have come out everything was done well.

I have been using them for the last 30 years. They have done a great job and I will continue to use them in future.

An excellent experience. We were interested in either a tankless or a conventional water heater. The estimator came, talked to us and looked at our existing facilities. He was knowledgeable, and able to give us pros and cons of both types of heaters. When we accepted a quote, the workmen were prompt, competent, and pleasant. They did exactly what we wanted, cleaned up after themselves, and didn't even charge us extra to investigate the status of a dryer vent. They're not inexpensive, but I think they're worth every penny.

They did a very competent job. They were on time and on schedule per the scope of the work. It was a 2-day job and it took them 1 1/2 days, which was about what they said. They coordinated with the city inspector for permits all within the 1 1/2 day timeframe, which I thought, was very helpful for my time. They did all the coordination. It was all union work so I couldn't argue about the price. They were very responsive, punctual and professional. I would absolutely use them again.

They are very prompt and good about calling me back. They have encountered more problems so we are waiting for the new quote.

Only rating Responsiveness - Emailed company to call my home for an appointment and never heard from them. I did this with several companies, but was disappointed that this one did not respond. I had to move on quickly due to pipe leak. Sorry guys... you shouldn't offer your email if you won't respond.

I discovered what at first appeared to be a huge leak under my kitchen sink over the President's Day weekend. Since it only happened when the water was running, I decided not to opt for the holiday service and just schedule a regular appointment. Power Plumbing worked to find me the earliest slot (basically the day after the holiday). The plumber who showed up was courteous, professional, and efficient. He quickly diagnosed the problem, very clearly explained what was wrong and gave me options on how to proceed. Since he had the necessary parts in his truck, he was able to make the repairs/replacements right away. I needed a new garbage disposal (which is so much quieter than the old one!) and he had to unclog a pipe. It was bit messy, but he cleaned it all up after he was finished.

Levon showed up on time and was very friendly and professional. He check our bathtub for leaks along with the toilet to see where the leak was coming from. He determined that the caulking around the tub was allowing water to leak behind the tub which was causing the water to stand in the hallway on the other side of the wall. Levon did no unnecessary work and was in and out within an hour. I HIGHLY recommend Power Plumbing and will most definitely use them for any future issues.
