I've used these guys several times in the past, and though there were problems I decided to try again - their office is very close to my home, and several of their operatives are very pleasant and did good work on repairs, installations, etc. They do have a habit of sending, and charging for, two workers each time -- one just stands around, or goes to the truck for parts - for $250/ hour! In other situations, however, they sent workers who could not complete the work! This time they solved the immediate problem - the flooding drained and the pipe seemed clear, but a few months later it backed up again. I took advantage of an Angie's List Big Deal and had another provider (ex-Stink) come out. Unlike Power, these guys looked at the drain with a camera, which showed the previous guys (Power) had just punched a small hole in the roots, and they had grown back and blocked the line again! When I reported this to Power, they called their operatives together in the office - I'd gone to them- they consulted each other and tried to feed me a line of b******* about how the roots grow very quickly, and could block the line in just a few months. This after I'd seen the small hole they'd punched, surrounded by roots! I asked how then Ex-Stink could offer a one year warranty - and Power Plumbing sent me away with a "free" container of very toxic root killer they told me to put in my drain. Definitely use these guys if you want to pay top dollar for second rate work and then get browbeaten and fed a line of bull when you complain!

The service provider responded to my request for help quickly and was the first to work with my time frame. They arrived on time, and quickly assessed the question. After unclogging the garbage disposal, the provided a few helpful tips for keeping it unclogged. A quick, efficient appointment. Would definitely call on them again. Good, fair pricing.

OK, was a bit surprised about price, but is ok.

They were very friendly, thoughtful, and got the job done properly. They had to do some additional work after the removal of the old fixtures, but they got it done and got the new ones on properly. It is better than what I would've done. I would call them again.

They are really thorough, respond right away, great with scheduling, know what they are doing and someone you can really rely on.

Power was on time and did a great job!

The guy was so nice.It was more expensive because it was after hours and an emergency. It ended up being a washer inside the faucet. It was a very pleasant experience. They were wonderful. He didn't seem to be in a hurry at all, even though it was after hours. He sat and talked with us as well.

The organization seems about high prices first and foremost, and it feels a little righteous dealing with them. As if their reputation precedes them, when there are plenty of A rated pluming organizations on the list. Being union and licensed/educated, as well as not being flat rate, are basic things I expect off of Angie's list and no reason to charge a minimum of $135 (discounted from $150), and then have a complex breakdown but more or less equivalent half-hourly breakdown after that - and then make me seem like I don't understand simple math. No materials included of course, but every minute counted, and plumbers only work until 3:30. I'm pretty sure all my plumbing needs will only occur between 7 and 3:30, or else we have to call it an emergency at 1.5$. Parking, time spent parking, a $10 gas surcharge are already tacked on to the bill before they reach your curb. And before really understanding the issue or what all we had already ruled out, I was being told we should probably consider it may be a 2-man charge simply to move a washer/dryer, which would be double of course. I think i might be able to move it somewhat on my own! Sorry but these are the highest charges I have heard of, and probably more than I pay for a physician's time. Other plumbers I have spoken to have been sympathetic and express understanding that rates are important - and might have some flexibility knowing that the plumber should be the least of the costs in a potentially major issue.

Power Plumbing was good in every way. They were punctual, efficient, and neat. Their plumber was careful to protect my kitchen from getting dirty and cleaned up the little mess that did occur. The work was done quickly, which kept the cost down. Their plumber found evidence of roots growing into my septic system but said that it was not a problem - he warned me to beware of anyone who claimed it required work. Overall, I was very happy with Power Plumbing. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

Our toilet suddenly stopped flushing and we called Scott Mendrek at Power Plumbing because he had done work for us (found on AL) about two years ago. We called late in the afternoon and Scott came the next morning. He called to confirm and arrived within the time window promised. He was able to replace a defective valve on our toilet in just under one hour. He is very competent and explains things clearly so that we know what needs repair and why. He is personable and is also very considerate in taking extra care to protect surfaces and clean up after the job (he even brings his own roll of paper towels!), which is much appreciated. The cost of this job was $185 and we would highly recommend this company.

I called to set up an appointment. The woman who answered the phone rudely informed me they were booked up what did I need as though I was bothering her. After telling her ok in a shocked tone, she then changed her tone to sound more friendly and courteous. And asked could she give me the number of the Plumbers Council who can send me three referrals. She did not ask what I needed or what the time table for the task was. I did tell her the location. I understand the company is busy, it was her overall delivery, tone and courtesy that surprised me. The company has good reviews so I did expect a certain level of service.

I noticed water pooling up behind the ceiling paint in our bathroom. Power Plumbing was easy to schedule with. Their plumber, John, came on site and sized up the ceiling leak in my unit, and the leaky tub in the upstairs unit - it all worked just fine. He ran some diagnostic / leak tests, did a break down / rebuild of the tub's shoe, added extra silicone sealant (something the last plumber didn't do 3 years ago when we had the same problem), evened up a gap that could amplify the shifting. Looks like we're good to go. My upstairs neighbor offered to handle the payment so I don't know the cost off the top of my head. Total turnaround time maybe 1.5 hours. Very effective, focused, I can happily recommend Power Plumbing.

John from Power Plumbing was awesome! He replaced our hot water heater and we were very pleased with our experience. He worked quickly and carefully and when he was finished, he checked every faucet and shower in the house to make sure that they were operating correctly. He also took time to explain to us all about the water heater and the work he had done. We are happy with the way the tank is performing and our hot water situation is better than ever. The pricing was reasonable and we would be pleased to use Power Plumbing in the future.

They are expensive but they are so wonderful. They are so efficient. They clean up behind themselves. They are extremely courteous. They address the problem. If it comes back and it didn't work out for the first time, they come back until they get it right. We live in an old building. It's a condominium but it will be a hundred years old. A lot of plumbers cannot handle the plumbing issues and they absolutely are able to do it well and quickly. I like them very much.

Power Plumbing rocks! Starting with the first phone call to arrange the appointment all the way to the service visit and completion of work. Very conscientious, friendly and knowledgeable staff. As a first time customer, I'm happy to report complete confidence that Power Plumbing is a reliable service provider operating with integrity. They may not be the cheapest answer to your plumbing needs but you will get things done properly the first time around. I am glad to have found them through Angie's List!

we have dual sinks in our kitchen, one which has a garbage disposal and the other just a regular drain. Both drains would start to back up if we ran water down it for a few minutes (IE washing dishes, running water to get it hot, etc). We called Power Plumbing on Monday and got an appointment for Tuesday afternoon. We had Patrick F. perform the services and he did a great job! He de-clogged the sink and fixed our leaky disposal and crooked pipes underneath. He noticed a few other things which needed repaired under the sink and fixed those also (replacing putty around leaky areas done by previous owners). Patrick really did a great job and explained everything to me as he went along. He was very courteous and even wore those shoe covers during his entire time inside our condo, which I sincerely appreciated. He also made sure to cover the area where he was working with a tarp. I was impressed!

Very professional. On time, courteous, knowledgeable, etc. Pricey though. Phone rep failed to notify me upfront of the $120 "equipment charge" in addition to their hourly rates and fuel surcharge. The plumbers did excellent work, but the extra $120 charge is something that no other plumber has ever charged me and seems like a fluff / unnecessary fee considering I am paying their full hourly rates. I would like to use these guys again, but only if I can get the "equipment charge" waved.
