The overall experience was one of professionalism, efficiency, and pro-active communication. My move happened with very little notice, and I had less than 5 days to find movers and get all of my stuff to a new apartment on one of the busiest moving weekends of the year. In spite of this, H2H set itself apart by anticipating my needs, sending repeated texts and calls to confirm everything, and repeated emails to make sure I had all the info I needed and was aware of all the services they offered. On move day the crew showed up early and got immediately to work. All three workers dove right in... there wasn't any of that "1 guy fills out paperwork and supervises while the other two move" game. I had a ton of stuff, and yet they finished my entire move in 2 hours. They were all very nice and totally professional, and they finished the move well before H2H's previously estimated time. I will use them again and recommend them to anyone I meet who is moving.

The movers arrived on time and they were very professional, polite and friendly. The moving was very smooth and it took less time than expected so that was awesome. They also assembled one sofa in less than 5 min! I will hire them again for sure for my next moving!

This is our third time using H2H movers for a move in Chicago, and we couldn’t be more pleased. The team arrived on time, and worked quickly and carefully to move us out of our old unit and into a new one in significantly less time than we had expected. They were careful to protect walls, floors, and items being moved, and were efficient and professional throughout. They abided by the strict Covid-19 requirements of our new and old locations. I absolutely recommend H2H. The three movers were on-time, courteous, and careful! I was impressed by how well they wrapped all of my furniture, while still being super quick. They managed a narrow gate and small entryway and left no damage to my walls, floors, or furniture. I was particularly thrilled with the movers' attention to detail and willingness to set things up just right. The cost was ultimately less than I was quoted too! Thank you for making this move an easy one.

The movers were very polite and knew exactly what they were doing. All of my furniture arrived without any damage. Before the move H2H Movers was very responsive to my questions. They explained the moving process and my role in it. They called ahead of time to review the COVID procedures. The movers followed COVID guidelines by wearing masks and social distancing. I felt very safe. I would use them again.

The foreman of the 4 man team was the fastest mover I've ever seen. He did great directing the rest of the team and they got soaked while handling my move and still didn't slow down! They were also careful to let me know about any preexisting damage to my items as well as to my old and new place. Overall it was a very good experience! Thanks for making it easy and thanks for wearing open as well!

They are very communicative and proactive to even let you know about any delays. They make it very easy for you and can include city parking permits. Furthermore, a big bonus is they will give you 3 wardrobe boxes free in your quote. They definitely take care of your items like it's your own.

The movers arrived on-time and ready to go. They moved everything so quickly that it came in under the estimated time, and the final price was lower than the original quote. This is our second time using H2H for a move, we had a great experience both times--fast, careful, and affordable. Hopefully we won't have to move anytime soon, but if we do, we will definitely use them again. Highly recommend.

Great communication and arrived right on time. Was worried about my move but they handled everything very fast and professionally. Would highly recommend, was never worried about my furniture or items getting damaged and finished faster than the quoted time!

They were very transparent about their services- which felt off putting at first because they really wanted to be honest and up front about risks and what things will cost. I was delightfully surprised as a result when the movers were able to do our move in half the time and half the cost! They were hurrying so fast and would even take 2-3 boxes at a time. They were incredibly professional and everything arrived safely without a scratch or broken item at all. They made our move as painless as possible, and they had smiles on their faces the whole time.

On-time, efficient, handles my stuff with care

I highly recommend H2H Movers. First they were very responsive ahead of time, answers all of my questions in a timely manner and calling me before my move to clarify the time and instructions. The day of the move, the movers showed up right on time, were very friendly, and very efficient in moving all of my belonging (including very heavy furniture pieces) without any damage within the allotted time. They are priced very fairly and after having a great and easy experience with them I would use H2H again or recommend them to anyone.

H2H was amazing! The movers arrived right on time and took great care and caution with our move. In addition to being very accommodating through the entire process, they were able to make a very big change at the last minute. We ran into some issues with our move and had to put all of our things in storage at the last minute. Julia helped me change the destination location of our items 48 hours before our move was scheduled. They were helpful in renting us wardrobe boxes and moving pads for the duration of the time our items are in storage, even though we are unsure when we will move into our new home. The team of movers hustled from the moment the move started to when they finished putting the last items in storage. They went above and beyond to ensure we were informed through the entire process and were very courteous and kind. We are hoping the same moving team will be able to move us into our new home and plan to request them for our move out of storage. We were initially attracted to H2H Movers because they are a women-owned business and the many amazing reviews that they already have - and we are so happy we decided to work with them. We highly recommend them!

H2H was referred to me by my daughter, so already a positive recommendation. The following month I moved and it worked out perfectly. When needing to schedule two elevators, timeliness is of the upmost importance to me. They were on time and finished slightly early, so I was not beyond my reservation time. The 3 man crew was extremely careful with my furniture, noted 2 damage areas on my furniture prior to wrapping and loading. They put everything in place at the new location, assembled the bed and laid the carpet. All things that would have been difficult for me by myself. They were not rushed and made sure everything was OK before leaving. All went perfectly without a hitch

What A Nightmare! When my mother’s retirement community (RC) finally reopened (she died the day the pandemic lockdown started), we needed to remove her furniture and belongings. I was delighted to find this woman-owned company, with Better Business Bureau accreditation and stellar ratings. Our experience was not so stellar. In fact my sister, who supervised countless moves in many countries during her Foreign Service career, said this was by far the worse moving experience she had ever had. Perhaps the requirement for cash payment of the first $500 of the move should have been a red flag. Supposedly all our conversations with the company were recorded, and I have the texts; this review can be documented. We scheduled the move, paid a $50 nonrefundable deposit, and made arrangements with the RC. A few minutes after scheduling we got a call: the 2 p.m. appointment was changed to 3. Fine. The day before the move we got a call to arrange details, including COVID-19 precautions: the movers would wear masks, socially distance, etc. I informed H2H that everyone entering the RC must wear a mask and have a temperature check. “Of course,” the caller responded. The morning of the move, another call: “a problem with the crew,” the time was rescheduled to 4:30, and it would be a 3 rather than 4 person crew. Fine. I was told that the movers were “trained in house” and that we would be pleased with them. Around 4:40, we got.a call that the crew was running late and would be there between 5:30-6. Fine. Then a call from Miguel of the moving crew; estimated arrival 6:30. He apologized and asked if we wanted to reschedule. I said no. Around 6:50 I tried to call Miguel twice and got an automated message. I called the office twice and left voice messages. Eventually someone (apparently the company owner) called: T-mobile service was down and they couldn’t get in touch with the crew (this explains why Miguel hadn’t called but not why he hadn’t arrived) or any others; did we want to continue or reschedule? Because of the arrangements with the RC—and since we now didn’t believe a reschedule would go any better—we wanted the move done. Eventually we were told a 2-person crew was coming. The crew arrived around 8:10 in an unmarked truck. When asked to wear masks, they said they didn’t have any. I ran home to get masks, which one crew member then wore incorrectly. They did a poor packing job—fragile items packed in shrink rather than bubble wrap, no padding between layers, dishes and glassware packed without wrapping or padding, etc. I hope the crew was paid overtime for coming to our rescue, but I also hope that they are reeducated on the importance of COVID-19 precautions and how to pack. In many texts with the company owner, I suggested we deserved a discount. She said to text her when we were done and she’d call me, even if it was 10 p.m. She of course said that this “had never happened before.” I texted when done; she did not call. She also said that the price we were charged was less than our initial quote—but I believe this was because we had. 2- rather than 4-person crew. She agreed to talk in the morning. In the morning I sent emails, and a text and left a phone message but 2 days later have not heard back. Ironically, an H2H staffer called midmorning asking how the move had gone, clearly unaware of all that had happened. She said she would report my feedback “to senior management.” Bottom line: Maybe you’ll get the stellar service that other reviewers apparently received. But maybe, like us, you’ll be the recipient of “this never happened before.” Good luck.

They were super punctual, efficient, and careful! The movers wrapped all my stuff that needed to be wrapped and got it all loaded on the truck really quickly. They made sure to clarify what I wanted to stay and what I wanted to go. Nothing was damaged -- not even a little scuff on anything. I also had a large plant and none of the leaves were broken. They placed everything where it was supposed to go in the new place instead of just throwing it all in one place and getting out of there. The price was great and worth every penny!

Very well! Our movers were prompt, quick, and professional. We had a few delicate items (glass tables), and they made sure that all items were well wrapped and protected during the move. We were unable to fit one couch inside the apartment but they were happy to help us to move it to our family member in another unit in the same building. They were very helpful, and I would certainly recommend H2H to a friend moving in the city.

I will absolutely use H2H Movers any time I need to move. I was thoroughly impressed by their timeliness, professionalism, and how swiftly they packed and unpacked all of my things. I got a detailed quote within minutes of requesting one, and within 24 hours I had deposited and confirmed my move date and time. 48 hours before the move, I received a call to confirm the process and go over all of the details, including the increased safety measures in place due to Covid-19. On the day of the move, one of the movers called me to let me know they had finished their previous job early and were available to begin my move early--truly, this has never happened before! We were able to start my move a full hour and a half earlier than the scheduled time. The crew of 3 were incredibly professional and swift, including disassembly and reassembly of all of my furniture. This was the most seamless moving experience I have ever had. All of my furniture was treated with utmost care. I ended up paying exactly what my quote was--not a dollar more. There were no hidden fees, and being able to pay using Venmo was highly convenient. If you want professional, reliable, timely movers, you should absolutely use H2H.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with H2H movers! They showed up exactly on time and were so quick and efficient while also taking great care to wrap all of our fragile items. Communication was great from beginning to end. Will definitely recommend to all of our friends and family and will use again if we ever decide to move. One of my easiest reviews to do because after extensive research, H2H is the only moving company for me. This is the second time I’ve use them and I am so impressed with their consistent carefulness, politeness, professionalism, efficiency and more! Four strong awesome guys in less than an hour done to remove a whole bunch of junk including sandbags/umbrella from deck, from our four-story townhome?! Instant completed invoice & payment emailed. Yeah highly recommend and will be using them for our final move. Also love supporting this woman-owned business and from her history she is an incredible success story! used angie's list to request quotes from several moving companies. choose H2H because they called within 15 minutes and were first. there were many highly reviewed movers and many got back to use same day. we selected H2H because they were first. we got a quick rough estimate over the phone. we also received several follow up calls before the move to ensure we were still on schedule. day of the move started at 9am and the crew of 3 were on time and started right away. i worked with the head mover as he provided a deeper estimate. the estimate was the same as the phone estimate. the crew was professional and wrapped almost all the furniture in moving blankets and tape. other pieces of furniture they wrapped in plastic. the move took less then the estimate and we wound up paying less than the estimate. the only small negative is small damage to a round end table but they told us about it and gave us instructions how to file an insurance claim. we did not file since the damage was small. i was glad they brought it to our attention. since it was small we probably would not have noticed immediately. i would use H2H movers again. their service and follow up were more than i expected but very appreciated.

Highly recommend. Moving from high rise to high rise in the city can be a logistical nightmare but H2H made the process seamless. Movers showed up exactly on time for my 4pm move and were actually able to complete the entire move in less time than they originally quoted. This is the exact opposite of my experience with some other moving companies. They move quickly and efficiently but make sure your belongings are properly taken care of to avoid any damage. Customer service was outstanding. I will for sure be reaching out to H2H again for any futures moves.
