I was very happy to return home to a completed job that was done to my satisfaction. Everything was cleaned up too.

This was for an Angie's Big Deal job, 8 hours of painting. One big window with 20 panes (built-in mullions) and two smaller ones (also with built-in mullions). They needed sanding, grouting, and two coats of paint to cover the dark gray. | |There were a few problems with communication and scheduling (hence the B for responsiveness), but once it was scheduled: the painter came on time yesterday and did a fine job; he was clearly an experienced painter, was neat and professional.

Repaired moisture damaged plaster and painted. Edgar was very efficient and we are very satisfied with the end result.

My kitchen looks great and I am very pleased with their work. They were punctual, protected my wood floors coming in and out when working, and cleaned up before leaving. They answered any questions I had and they were very nice. I would definitely use them again.

Excellent . There are "painters" and then"Painters ".... We had angel do our painting .... Excellent job and spotless clean and tidy .... Punctual and very pleasant too . Will def. Be using them again !

Bill came over and looked at job, emailed the estimate i called him backed and settled on a price. All done in a weeks time ,Bill said they could start right away,which was great. His workers showed up on time , worked the whole time ,cleaned up the job site when they were done for the day. The cabinets turned out beautiful ,not one complaint about the job they performed. I would recommend Bill and his crew to anyone . Job complete on time within budget.

The experience was great. Edgar showed up on time, explained how he would handle painting my ceilings. He moved all the big/heavy furniture, covered the floors and all the furniture and hanging light fixtures and went right to work. He finished in the time he said it would be done. Cleaned up everything and best of all the ceilings look great. He sanded some bumpy spots and spackled several stress cracks in the ceilings. Above and beyond what I expected. I would refer Ernst Painting and Decorating to my friends and family. All in all a pleasurable experience and a great job.

I spoke with Mr. Ernst on the phone after purchasing an Angie's List deal for 8 man hours of painting for $199. I explained the job I wanted done and we scheduled the job at that time. Yesterday, one of his painters arrived exactly on time and did a great job re-painting my dining room. We have a chair rail in that room, and I had two colors chosen - one for above the chair rail and one for below. He started work at 8:00, prepped the room, applied two coats of each color, and completed the job in a very timely manner. He was clean and professional. I would use them again.

It went very well, we bought a big deal from him, $199 for 7 hours, and he came in at that time, he did state how much it would cost if it went over, but it didn't.

He did a great job, but we are disappointed he did not give us an estimate on more work we wanted done.

I spoke to Bill over the phone initially and was able to send him pictures of my kitchen and get a quote very quickly. I was impressed with both his demeanor and responsiveness from the start and felt confident that he could do the job. Not being one for snap decisions I did shop around but Bill was always at the top of my list and it became clear the more I looked around that he was the obvious person to hire. He came out on very short notice, helped my wife and I pick the perfect shade of white for the cabinets and explained the entire painting process to us so we not only understood the quality of the work we were purchasing, but we also knew what to expect insofar as when he and his crew would be in the house working. Bill and his crew started painting a few days later. I have to say that I was shocked at how quiet and unobtrusive the entire process was. I work from home and need the house reasonably quiet, and even though I was very close by I could have forgotten they were there since they were so whisper quiet while they worked. My wife observed their work habits as well and was extremely impressed. She actually had a smile on her face which has NEVER happened before with contractors in our house. The results made her smile even more. I must say that Bill and his crew's work impressed us greatly. We got far more than we expected, and we are typically not easy to please . Bill uses a water based lacquer paint that when sprayed on the cabinets presents a nearly factory finish on them. The results are striking and I have to say that I'm really liking my kitchen now and wondering why I didn't do this years ago. I also have to say that I was quite impressed with not only the overall quality of the work, but the attention to detail and the willingness to make everything perfect. Any tiny blemishes we found were quickly fixed, without complaint, even after the job was done. I have to say that it is amazingly refreshing to find someone that takes pride in their work as much as Bill does. I would highly recommend his work to anyone.

After calling numerous cabinet refinishing/refacing companies and comparing quotes and customer service Bill beat them all. The kitchen in our new home was a light boring brown color and after having our floors darkened it just did not match. We went back and forth for a month deciding if we should replace our cabinets and granite that we were not in love with or if we should paint them. Having our kitchen redone would have cost $20,000 from other companies, but finding Bill saved us so much money and now we actually like our granite. We had him paint paint our kitchen cabinets, add crown molding, a tile backsplash and also install a range hood above our stove. Given such a good price we had money left over to get the basement bar, and two bathroom cabinets painted. On top of the fabulous job he did with our cabinets, Bill came to the rescue and helped us with some other things in our home. I had a handyman that was in the middle of a few jobs at our home sadly pass away and unfortunately leaving us with a list of things that needed to be done. Bill gave us a great price and installed our fireplace mantel, replaced lights and outlets, doorbell, replaced all the locks in our home and installed a storm door. He also did all the touch up paint anywhere that was needed. Overall Bill went above and beyond what I expected! Highly recommend, everything thing looks great and the cabinets look brand new!

Bill was very easy to work with. He was able to quickly get us a quote. Since painting cabinets can be a tricky thing to get right, we had asked him to bring along a sample. We hired him on the spot and he and his crew started work the next week. They kept the area clean and did a beautiful job painting the piece. Everything was put back together within a week and we are thrilled with the result. Overall a great experience and we would definitely hire him again!

We had upper cabinets that we had painted a dark color. We were unhappy with the results and were looking for someone who could paint those as well as the bottom cabinets and the wall unit. We also had some wallpaper border that we had trouble removing. So we were delighted to find someone who did such beautiful work.

I am extremely pleased with the work that Ernst Painting and Decorating did. Bill Ernst, the owner and his crew did such a magnificent job. They were professional, responsive, detail oriented, punctual and VERY CLEAN. Bill was very patient with me and helped me decide the paint colors. I have to admit, he impressed me with his knowledge and design sense. I would recommend Ernst Painting and Decorating to anyone who wants to have the job done right. I will use this company next year for sure.

He was extremely polite, but the estimate was more than I had anticipated for.

My entire experience with this company was outstanding. From the initial contact through the final inspection everything was done in a professional manner. The apartment has never looked so good. Ernst took care in their work. There was no cleanup required. They made sure they left the apartment in better shape than when they went in. I would definitely recommend Ernst.

The entire experience was very pleasant. Bill promptly returned my first phone call and came out the same day to provide an estimate. He created a sample for me and then emailed me an estimate. After we scheduled the job, his guy came exactly on time and worked 3 days. The job involved repainting several art niches and then hand glazing all the detail in each one. The glazing is the part that really requires experience and so it wasn't easy for me to find someone who had the proper credentials. However, Bill's company does the painting/glazing for a cabinet manufacturer so they have all of the tools and experience. The final result was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I am planning on using Bill's company again for future work.

First, Bill Ernst, the owner was wonderful to work with. He responded to all of our questions about best methods to clarify the work they would do. He painted color samples on our walls to help us choose the right color. And he negotiated a very fair price. Second, the team of workmen could not have been nicer or more professional. Their work was fabulous, and they were a delight to work with. The work was done exactly on time.
