Chicago Hauling

They did a wonderful job--even swept up our garage when they were done. They showed up exactly as scheduled and were done in a snap. It was nice to see our garage floor again!

Contractor was very responsive and accomodating. Agreed to come out on Sunday to haul stuff from our basement. Even though we didn't use the service because of help lent by friends and families, we will definitely consider this contractor for future jobs.

Ventura was very responsive, on time, and reasonably priced for the job. I would definitely recommend him and would use him for future jobs.

Ventura is awesome. Came by to give us an estimate the same day I called. Scheduled quickly. He was running late the day of demo, but I called him & he explained. Came with two other workers & a big truck. They worked til noon, took a break, then Ventura left. Couple hrs later the other workers said they were finished & left, but they had forgotten to clear the debris from the crawlspace, so we called Ventura who called them back to the job. Ventura came back later to make sure they had finished the job to our satisfaction. When he entered the crawlspace he found an old window that they other guys had missed, & he broke it down & carried it out himself. They swept the basement floor clean. What a dramatic difference! Ventura gave me a 5% Angie's list discount AFTER I mentioned Angie's List & asked for a discount. Be sure to get Ventura's cell number in case of problems (like we had with the workers leaving without finishing the job). The problem was quickly & easily remedied with cell.

Ventura was a dream to work with. He was prompt for our appointment for an estimate and was very thorough. I explained what I needed and we quickly came to an agreement. The four man crew he sent to do what was a horrible, messy job did so without batting an eye. They were polite and worked very hard. What took them two hours would have taken me two months and when they left I had my basement back! I would highly recommend Chicago Hauling and will definately use them again.

MR. MUNOZ WAS PROMPT AND RESPECTFUL OF THE NEIGHBORS. ALL THE DEBRIS WAS REMOVED AS PROMISED. I WILL USE HIM FOR ALL OF MY DEMOLITION / HAULING WORK. GREAT FEATURE WAS THAT HE HAS HIS OWN VEHICLES - NO DUMPSTER NEEDED SO WE DID NOT INTERFERE WITH NEIGHBORS AND DID NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE USING THE DUMPSTER AS IT WAS REMOVED EACH NIGHT.

I think they did a good job and I was comfortable with the price. They cleaned up after themselves and offered to take things I had forgotten about and needed to be removed.

This is the second time I have used this company, and I was impressed all over again by the work they do, as well as just the general pleasant nature of the whole crew. Reasonable prices, as well, and they leave the area swept clean. I wouldn't bother calling anyone else.

I called and talked to Alvaro. He came by a few hours later. After looking over the space and work involved, we agreed on a price and start date. On the first day, they were running a bit late, and Ventura called ahead to let me know there was no problem. The crew was small initially but fast hardworking workers. The workers wore respirators (not dust masks) the whole time. On the second day, they were on time (8:30) and worked hard til 5 PM. They cleaned up really well too. I highly recommend them.

Less than 24 hours after I called my old conrete sidewalks were gone. Ventura's father Alvaro came out to give us the estimate the same day we called, then he returned with a crew the next morning (10 minutes early!). They were polite and they worked hard. I'd definitely use them again.

The entire experience was wonderful, from the scheduling of the estimate, to the great work, and even the clean-up of the basement areas as well as the common area. I highly recommend them and would use them again anytime.

I called Ventura on Thursday, and the work was done on Saturday. He even could have done it sooner had my schedule worked. I was a completely satisfied customer. I had forgotten about the Angie's list discount. I called back and Ventura told me to take 5% off the quoted rate of $275.

I called Ventura on Wednesday, on the off chance that I could get him out the next day to give me an estimate, since I had to be home for the plumbers anyway. He came out Thursday morning, gave me the estimate, and actually brought his crew back that afternoon and did the work. He also gave me an estimate on some hauling that I am going to need later. They were hard workers (they really had to wrestle those posts out of the ground) and they left the space clean to the ground, chasing off two possums who were living under all that junk.

I highly recommend this company. They were very prompt, personable, hard workers, and a good value. I would not hesitate to call for other jobs.

VERY PUNCTUAL! On time and very professional. 3 person crew removed and hauled away debris from basement demolition. Would use again in a heartbeat!

Ventura and his guys are great. They work really fast and efficiently, and both times they came out, they were incredibly prompt and polite. Ventura really made an effort to follow up on questions that I had, and was able to schedule work very quickly. I will definitely use them again. Great experience.

I CALLED VENTURA YESTERDAY, AND HE AGREED TO COME OUT FOR A QUOTE AT 10:30 TODAY. HE EVEN ARRIVED A LITTLE EARLY, LOOKED THINGS OVER, GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE, AND WAS BACK THIS AFTERNOON TO DO THE JOB. HE COULDN'T HAVE BEEN NICER! HE AND HIS CREW DID A PHENOMENAL JOB, AND I WOULDN'T HESITATE TO USE THEM AGAIN OR TO RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.

THREE CREW MEMBERS CAME OUT ON THE DAY WE CALLED. WE HAD ALREADY DISMANTLED THE PIANO AND MOVED IT TO THE ALLEY, BUT THEY STILL HAD SOME EFFORT GETTING IT ON THE TRUCK. NO COMPLAINTS AND VERY QUICK.

VENTURA ARRIVED RIGHT ON TIME WITH HIS WORKERS. MY HOUSE IS QUITE A DISTANCE, AND THEY MADE THE EXTRA EFFORT TO COME OUT. THEY HAD TO TAKE A SLEDGEHAMMER TO SOME OF THE BASEMENT ITEMS TO GET THEM OUT OF ROOMS THAT HAD BEEN BUILT AROUND THEM. THEY CLEANED UP WITH A BROOM AS THEY WENT THROUGH THE HOUSE. THIS ALL TOOK A COUPLE OF HOURS. ONE GUY STANDS IN THE TRUCK, SMASHES, AND PACKS THINGS DOWN TO FIT IT ALL ON THE TRUCK. THIS CAN BE PRETTY NOISY. THEY ARE DEFINITELY INTO DEMOLITION. THEY WERE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE WALLS AND SURROUNDING AREA. THEY LEFT THE PLACE CLEAN, AND SWEPT THE DRIVEWAY BEFORE LEAVING. VENTURA IS A VERY NICE MAN, AND GREAT TO WORK WITH.

VENTURA CAME OUT TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE THE DAY THAT I CALLED HIM. HE WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE THE JOB FOR THE FOLLOWING MORNING AND HE AND HIS WORKERS ARRIVED PROMPTLY AT 8:00 AM. THE SAME CREW WAS ON THE JOB FROM START TO FINISH. I WAS NOT UNCOMFORTABLE WHEN VENTURA LEFT THE SITE TO CHECK ON OTHER WORK, AS THE MEMBERS OF HIS CREW HAD BEEN WITH THE COMPANY FOR TWO OR MORE YEARS. THEY CAREFULLY DUG UP DIRT BY HAND UNDER A LOW-CLEARANCE DECK AND CARRIED IT OUT IN BUCKETS. THE CREW WORKED QUICKLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. THE SITE WAS CLEAN AND THEIR TRUCK WAS PACKED UP BEFORE NOON.

PROMPT ATTENTION ON THE PHONE. BECAUSE I HAD A SMALL JOB, I WAS GIVEN A QUOTE THAT WAS LOWER THAN THEIR MINIMUM. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME TO DO THE JOB, DID IT FAST, EFFICIENTLY, AND COURTEOUSLY AND THEY OFFER AN ANGIE'S LIST COUPON. IT WAS A PAINLESS SOLUTION TO THE RIDICULOUS PROBLEM OF HAVING AN UGLY, BEAT UP COUCH DETRACTING FROM MY HOME.
