It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were great. The guy was very nice and laid back. He didn't mind my dog following him around. He was very capable. He was so capable that I am hiring them to install a stair railing which is a big deal to me; I feel confident in this young man that I've already gotten it scheduled. I would use them without any hesitation. The price was a great deal; it was half off. He was so punctual, the clock stuck 10 and the bell rang.

It worked out really well. They were both very, very good.

I called to have a pocket door in one of my rental units repaired. Bob, the handyman who took on the job, suggested that instead of repairing the pocket door that we instead replace it with a standard door. This option saved me tons of $ and I agree with Bob's assessment that since this is a rental, a standard door was a better choice. Very pleased with the work!!

It turned out fine. They were quick and they know what they were doing. They did a pretty fair job.

David showed up right on time, and installed a new kitchen faucet and fixed a drain pipe. He was done in less than two hours, and he was very professional.

They did some carpentry work and other minor home repairs - when they initially came out they said the work would take long than the 2 hours included in the deal and he unfortunately had an appointment after me, so he'd have to re-schedule. He rescheduled for that weekend and got it done in the time expected (3 hours). The additional cost for the 3rd hour was very reasonable and we were very happy with the work he did.

After extensive research via Yelp and Angie's List I decided to go with Budget Right for some work on my house. Specifically this is the work that was performed: 1. Installed ceramic tile on rear enclosed heated porch of the house 2. Setting of base cabinets that had been removed in the kitchen 3. Installation of ceramic backsplash 4. Installation of quartz countertop on said base cabinets All of the work was performed by the same one handyman who was timely and professional. In reference to #1- installation of ceramic tile, the work was excellent. Simple and straightforward as well executed. The way that Budget Right Handyman work is that they are associated with several "handymen" and assign one to your project for an hourly rate. They provide you with a fairly accurate estimate on time and cost and that is why I was pleased with the service. The only thing I questioned was the amount of time it took to get the work done, if they quoted me 16 full hours, I am not confident that they would bill me 12 or 14 hours if the work was completed early. Which might have been the case. Regardless, I was happy with the price and work completed for this one task. In reference to #2 & #3, the estimate to perform the work was much higher than I expected. Part of the estimate was 8 hours to set the base cabinets back into their previously existing locations. It was only 4 cabinets, not sure that this should have taken 8 hours. But I needed to get the work done ASAP before the end of the year, so I went with it. Initially, I was very impressed with the work. It has been 2 weeks since it has been completed and now I'm noticing all of the flaws. One---the guy that did the work made a mess everywhere. He had to cut the ceramic tile for the floor and backsplash and dust and debris went everywhere in the house. When the work was finished, everything looked nice, but was dirty as h***. I am finally filling the cabinetry with my kitchenware and every drawer and cabinet is covered in layers of ceramic dust and clunks of grout. Spent 2 hours cleaning all of that mess. I think they must have also cut sections of the quartz countertop right there in the kitchen because that dark quartz dust was everywhere. He did not install the outlet covers for the light switches or the electrical outlets, and I can do this myself. Except that the way he set the backsplash, it is not aligned with the outlets, so I have to either chisel around the backsplash and risk cracking and breaking or find some other solution. In reference to #4- the countertop The work was done via their recommended countertop guy/vendor. The material is nice, but at the initial setting there were issues where the countertop did not align with the rear wall/backsplash in one section. And in another the countertop was too short as a result of making the wrong measurement. In the process of setting the countertop, they also broke off part of the backsplash tile. I was not happy with this even though they were about to leave me there as though the job was complete, I had to complain about it and the handyman said he would call the countertop guy to fix it. A few days later they fixed it on one side and "glued" or "grouted" a replacement backsplash piece. But Instead of fixing the countertop on the other end where there was a quarter inch gap they basically caulked a seperate quarter inch square into place using the stuff that is used to set multiple countertop pieces. Additionally, I had to buy a seperate faucet for the sink because I purchased a 4 hole and the sink was designed for a 2 or 3 hole. So I bought a new one and planned to return the old one (the old one cost me $69). When i returned to look at the "fixed" countertop I saw that they decided to tear off the lid of the box from the unusable faucet to use as a tray for the caulk stuff for the countertop. This meant that I couldn't return the faucet anymore, they credited me $69 for the cost of the faucet. In the end I paid and left everything as is. I needed the work done and it is a million times better than what I had before. This is a project home and will eventually be rented out for a while, so decided not to make too much of a fuss. In the future however I will be working with a company that specifically performs kitchen remodeling than with this handyman service. I say use them for basic handyman work around the house, go to the pros for bigger projects.

This provider was absolutely fabulous. I cannot say enough positive about him.

Didn't series of call backs. He was looking into the installation of an instant hot water dispenser and he never got back to me.

Budget Right did a phenomenal job. He fixed a doorknob that at least two other handymen had failed to fix - all with a $5 piece of hardware! I appreciated his responsiveness, the high-quality work, and the reasonable cost.

They came the other day. They always do great work.

Scheduling went well but they arrived late for the appointment so I ended up putting in the vanity myself. I also wanted them to do more of the electrical work and they were unable to do because of time constraint. One person came out to do the work and he was really only here for about 1 hour to do the tile work. They were also unable to do flooring which I wanted done.

Serviceman was very professional, friendly, and punctual. Very skillful. Louver door I had bought was too large; he cut it down to size and hung it. Couldn't even tell the door had been sawed shorter before hanging. Consulted me on more work I want done. Will be using this company again.

...but when I called them back to do a different job for me which would have been to put the hardware on two gates I never heard from them. I want my money back!!!!

Seamlessly. Robert was in contact throughout every step of every task. Each job was performed to expectations and in a timely manner. We even had the chance to purchase a coupon book that saved us significant money on future jobs and the current job we had specced out.

It went well. He showed up on time, listened to what I needed, and went to work fixing everything to my satisfaction. He showed me what was wrong and what needed to be done to fix it. He answered all of my questions as he went along. He made sure that I check each job and that it functioned w/ease and the way I wanted it to.

Nick was early and explained thoroughly what needed to be done after accessing the situation. Nick also showed me how to tighten and align the doors so I can perform the job myself in the future. Also, looked at other jobs for the future and provided reasonable quotes. Definitely would use Budget Right Handyman and Nick for future projects or repairs.

The work was performed for my mother. The service search the neighborhood to find a spot to put in from of my mom's house, but could not find one, and did not charge her. I ordered the spot light and the service tech came back to install it. Problem, spot light would not shut off, so he returned at no extra charge to reset it. I was so impressed with their service, I called the owner to inform him I would I send extra.

For the most part it was actually great. I did the big deal thing and i got two hours of handyman services for the price of one. I called ahead and short of told them what my list of things that I wanted done and they said that they could do most of them I believe and he came out. At first I will say that he was a little late and the only thing that sort of bugged me which was at the end was I had said one of the jobs was that I needed my washing machine to be connected to my water line because I did not have hoses for it and when he came he had to go to Home Depot and buy the hoses. He did not come with them even though I had already mentioned it. I will say that he did all of the jobs I asked for and I ended up with him being here and coming back at probably and he spent like two hours and 40 minutes on quote on quote my job but did charge me for the extra time. So even though it was technically only for two hours in took into consideration the fact that when he want to go buy stuff, it did not count in the two hours. But everything I wanted to be looked at was looked at. In fact one of the task was to get the water line connected to my washing machine and for some strange reason the people who fixed it before plugged it with actual stoppers and he figured that out and said he had never seen it before so i was very happy with it. It was just minor things so that was the only thing I could say. But I am happy i did it and I would totally do it again if I needed to.

He was very professional - arrived on time and went right to work. He was knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. We will definitely be using him again.

I purchased the 2 hours of service coupon for $80.00 off of Angie's List to try out this handyman service. Aaron from Budget arrived and I showed him two small jobs that I wanted completed one of which was replacing a toilet paper fixture. I had explained to the person on the phone taking the order that there was a small hole in the wall that would need to be patched up, so I expected the handyman to arrive prepared to start working. He told me that although he had been aware of this hole, their policy is to assess the situation and then go to the store which would be part of my two hours of service. When I questioned their policy since this would significantly cut into the two hours that I already paid for and he probably wouldn't have time to fix the two small items on my list (regular rates are $98/hourly). He then said that he was not going to do anything then and that I should get my money back before he promptly walked out. This company's sole purpose is to milk customers for their money. He was quoting huge amounts of time to replace a bathtub faucet and the fact that he had to buy puddy when the I told them ahead of time that there was a small hole to be fixed seemed unreasonable. I am/was in the market for a handyman service that I could use on a regular basis, but this service is extremely unprofessional and the fact that they are marketing themselves as "budget" handyman is almost funny if it wasn't so frustrating.

Work was done quickly and professionally, Brad was friendly and considerate (very nice to our barky dog!), and everything was cleaned up completely.

The day before the service was scheduled, Ivan called me to let me know the name of the man who would be doing the work and the time he would be arriving. On the day of the job, Aaron called to let me know he was running a little early and if it would be ok if he came by an hour earlier than scheduled, which was fine. I needed some brackets removed from previous shelving to accommodate the new unit, and gave Aaron the written instructions for installation. He also had to move my husband's Harley to another area of the garage, (which I had told Ivan about ) and he was fine with that. He got to work right away, removing the brackets, taking the shelving units out of the packing boxes and thoroughly going over the directions. This took some time, and then he began checking for the ceiling joists to start the install. After several attempts he came to me and said that our ceiling joists were metal, and the unit could not be installed properly with the lag screws and be safe - it would not hold properly. Aaron had me call the company to double-check and they verified what he had told me. They advised me to return the unit to Cosco for a refund. Aaron re-boxed everything, secured it with packing tape, and then loaded the heavy units into my car for me. He then cleaned up the garage from removing the brackets. Unfortunately, all this had eaten up most of his 2 hours of service. Aaron felt awful that he had not accomplished the job for me (which was to be a surprise for my husband) and apologized several times. I reassured him that it wasn't anyone's fault; it just didn't work out. Despite the fact that the initial job didn't get done, I was very pleased with Budget Right Handyman, their thoroughness and commitment to doing a job right. I would definitely use their service again, hopefully successfully next time!
