It was good. They also installed a new microwave. It didn’t take the entire 2 hours, but I didn’t have anything else for them. Scheduling was fine – they were accommodating. The tech that came worked efficiently.

Aaron was on time, explained everything he was doing, and did a great job. Anything that couldn't be done he explained why and what I'd need to do instead.

Steve arrived promptly at the appointed time and was upbeat and professional. He took about 10 minutes to access all the work I was looking to do, then went to grab all the necessary tools from his truck. Returned and began to knock out all the work efficiently and expertly. He was very sensitive to my ideas and expanded on them to make things look great. He completed all work within the proscribed time and made sure to leave everything clean.

Aeron did a great job repairing all the items on our list. We had him come back 3 times to complete all the jobs and requested him after he came out the first time. He was very aware of how much time he was taking and we were charged fairly. We had a list of things to do and he worked the entire time to accomplish whatever he could. He went out of the way to get us speical hardware from the store and seemed to not waste time while he was gone. Very perfessional and clearly knew what he was doing with the tasks we asked of him.

The guy came and disappeared. The owner had to come and do the job. Eventually it got done, but there was a lot of issues. I had them do a lot of things – re-grout a tub, and fix an unstable toilet seat. The tech left to get parts and never returned.

Everything went really well and we have used them a few different times now. They are very responsive and show up quickly. The scheduling was easy.

Steve was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Was able to use the tiles I got to make them work. It was quick and the price was extremely reasonable. Very happy with the result!

Excellent service. The handyman arrived on time, and did a great job replacing the weather stripping on the window. Would definitely use this company again.

We started with the laundry sink and couldn't get that completely done because of the fixture in the wall didn't have a thread, which I totally agree is not a handyman work. But cruised well with other 2 things.

The charge me $149 for 15 minutes of work, and did not offer any help with the thermostat, or any rebate since they could not perform the work.

At first everybody with Budget Right Handyman was friendly and responsive. Nick showed up the first time promptly as scheduled on May 1, 2014. He said he needed to remove my kitchen cabinet and take it with him to work on it at home where he had better equipment to trim it to fit over my new refrigerator. He damaged the adjoining cabinet and said he could fix it when he replaced the other. We had appointments for him to complete the job on May 15, May 30, June 9, June 11 and June 14. He showed up once and said he couldn't work because he "didn't feel good." The other times he was a no show. After June 14 he didn't answer my calls and did not call in response to the messages I left. The first week of July, I called Budget Right Handyman directly and explained the problem. i was told that the "Manager of the workmen" would call me to solve the problem. After a week and a half I called again and Budget Right Handyman didn't answer. I left a message and the "manager" called me the next day. He apologized that "he didn't get my first message." He promised to make the situation right and would find out where my cabinet was. He also promised to "call me everyday to keep me updated on the situation." That was the last time I heard anything from Budget Right Handyman, the work I paid for is not done, and I don't have my cabinet, nor is the damaged cabinet repaired. My recommendation is to RUN, not walk away from this company. They are at best, incompetent, and perhaps worse!

This was an absolutely amazing experience. The handyman arrived on time, was very knowledgeable and professional. He cleaned everything afterwords and even gave us tips on other house projects we are working on. I would recommend this service to anyone.

He caulked 4 outside light fixtures and 1 window. It was very sloppy. He did not use a wet finger finish, so it isn't smooth at all.

Arrived on time with professional and friendly approach to my carpentry problems. Assessed both situations and gave remedies to resolve. Purchased supplies needed also using paint supplies on hand to keep costs down. Completed work in time allowed to my satisfaction. Using Angie's List ($98) reduced cost to $38.36 for quality work.

It went great. They arrived on time and were very helpful when they discovered I had bought the wrong size fixture base. They happly to take old base and rewired it with the new fixtures. It works and looks great. My wife loves it! They also discovered that my home was outside of their service area, but they came anyway.

The issue was that even though I discussed my needs on the phone with the scheduler and said I had some concerns about my old house/wiring, I was assured it would be fine. Of course when the man came to install the fans, he said they wouldn't be able to do it for insurance reasons due to my old wiring. I totally understood their position and they were friendly and flexible, but it was frustrating since I had expressed those concerns on the phone but the person who makes appointments wasn't as knowledgeable about my situation and didn't have someone else call me back to discuss. I would use them again for other needs, but it was unfortunate it didn't work out for my current needs. Would still recommend them for other services due to their great attitude and friendliness.

It was a good job but it took longer than they predicted.

He got here on time. Was courteous and knowledgeble. Understood what I wanted. Did the work.

Provider kept appointment, was nice, VARY hard working.

Initially the job looked well done. Slowly the grout between the tiles started to break apart. I called to get the service fixed and after four months of calling and run around I have yet to get this repaired and as of this week they have not even returned my call despite my patience with the matter. I will not use this company for anything further and will no longer recommend.

He arrived on time, reviewed all the work to be done and completed the work within the allotted timeframe. I am very please with the work.

I purchased a Big Deal for Budget Right Handyman. When they called to schedule, they indicated, for the first time, that there was a $25 travel charge to DuPage County, which is where I reside. Budget Right is located in Oak Park, which is where I grew up and my Mother's house is located. Based on over 22 years of regular driving bewteen my home and Oak Park, the trip is only 20 minutes each way. I advised the caller of this, and also pointed out that there are many parts of Cook County which are considerably further away from Oak Park than my home. I requested a waiver of the travel charge. The caller said he could not do that. I requested that the matter be brought to the owner's attention. I advised the caller that if the travel charge was not waived, I would cancel my order. Budget Right has not contacted me following this conversation. I am in the process of securing a refund from Angi's List. The travel charge was not disclosed until the schduling call. It is arbitrary and particularly ridiculous in my case due to the limited travel time involved. Budget Right apparently has no interest in attracting new customers, as it failed to follow up with me with respect to my request for a waiver of the arbitrary travel charge.
