Everything was perfect.

They came the next morning. They were perhaps 20 minutes late, but given morning traffic and a snowy day, this wasn't a major surprise. They completed the job in about 4 hours. No damage to anything, and the space was left clean. They agreed to remove some things that I thought of as junk that had some minor resale value - an old but not antique light fixture I had replaced, a small amount some wiring that they said they would remove the copper from, and a couple other minor things that I was happy to have gone. I note that the work was done by Red's Hauling, mentioned in another review above. Because of that mention, my understanding is that this is a regular, continuing subcontracting arrangement. Sam at A-ABF was the one who set up the appointment, and the one who called back after the work to make sure that everything had gone well, taking responsibility for what had been done. That's why I feel it's most appropriate to rate A-ABF for the work.

The removal went fantastic! I probably didn't have as much debris as A-ABF are use to dealing with but Carlos was done before I knew it. On top of that Carlos swept up my garage and the alley before they were done, real pros with attention to detail and quality customer service. A+ company with my highest recommendation!

Bad experience. I called in the morning and the quote I got was $190 - $300. They scheduled the work to start at 4 pm the same day. Thus far everything was going great. I leave work early to go meet the workers. After waiting 30 minutes I call A-ABF HAULING and they inform me that they are on a different job which is taking longer than expected and they are unable to meet with me. I complain and they tell me another crew will be sent. Next thing I know Red's Hauling shows up at my house. I walk them through the job and they give me a *new* price of $500! Overall I felt that their service was disappointing and border line dishonest. I would stay away from this company

They were right on time and it cost less than they estimated. I called last Thursday and they came today. It took only ten minutes to remove the item. They were very careful. I am very pleased with them.

Sam and his crew of three assistants arrived on time, with two trucks that they parked in the back driveway. Sam looked over the site and quoted me a price which I thought was fair, and they got to work. They seemed professional and experienced, and diligently tackled obstacles such as narrow doorways and tight corners. Some items required extensive disassembly before they could be removed. The whole job took a few hours, and actually went a bit faster than I had originally estimated. It all went so fast that I had to keep a close eye on the operation to make sure they didn't accidentally run off with one of the few items in the apartment that I didn't want removed. At the end Sam presented me with a bill very close to his estimate.

I had A-ABF remove a sofa on a pretty short notice. This is the second time I have used them, and they are professional and on time. I wish I would have had more items to remove from my home, it seems the more you have, the better value it is.

Three workers arrived to haul away the items. They were extremely helpful and professional. They had to help me move some items off the carpet before pulling it up, and they did so with the utmost care. We could only get half the carpet up on this visit due to the number of things that needed to be moved. They returned two days later after I had cleared the area and took away the remainder of the rug with no additional charge. The fee was exactly what I was quoted on the phone.

Very well. Sam was polite, accommodating when I added more than I original asked. He had the lowest estimate, was able to come sooner than he expected.

This company did a great job. Mr. Hoffmann was pleasant on the phone and he sent his crew within a few days to pick up the organ. The men who came to the house were very professional and courteous, and did their job quickly and cleanly. They arrived exactly on time, and the job was done for the amount quoted on the phone.

They donate or recycle as much as possible. They are fast, polite, and professional. They were really, really helpful and cheaper than most of the other junk haulers.

I have used Sam on more than 5 occasions over the past few years. He is consistently reliable and has helped me out. Sam Hoffman's service is a small reliable operation. I trust Sam completely, even leave his name at my storage locker desk, allowing him access. I know he would never misuse the access on my trust.
