A-1 Safety Chimney Service, Inc.

The service person, Will Mew, who came just wanted money. He was supposed to clean the chimney but did not. He just want to look for ways to suck money from the customer/s. The service person/s who came was very unprofessional. I highly DO NOT recommend this company to anybody who need/s chimney work. I was not happy at all of the service provided. It was a big waste of my time and money. Please make this message known to as many customers as possible to prevent them from becoming the next victims.

Service and knowledge of matters related to fireplaces was excellent . The service rep (Derrek) dealt with all my problems. I would have rated 5 stars across the board, but we have not had enough rain to determine if the repairs solved my leaking problem, and I am uncertain about the value because I did not have a second opinion.

My initial quote was very reasonable. However, it turned out that my dryer vent was completely clogged with bird nests (likely due to house sitting vacant for a while). This was very bad. However, I thought the extra cost incurred to resolve this situation was a bit expensive. I suspect I could have found a better price had I shopped around for service I really needed (blockage removal rather than standard cleaning). Other than that, service was very good and they did a good job.

The service team kept me very well informed as to their arrival time. They lead serviceman was very professional and very knowledgeable regarding the building codes surrounding my service call.

Derrek was very professional, explained everything that he was doing. Will be using every year. Definately recommend

Marcus and Anthony were very nice and did a great job. Found problems I didn't know I had and explained them thoroughly. They took pictures of issues on my roof around chimneys so I could see the issues. They installed a beautiful 'fire island' to resolve heat problems we had. It is beautiful and was more cost effective than other options I had looked into. Thanks guys.

They were not able to give me a quote for roof flashing nor stucco repair - I realize they are limited outside of the chimney which they are experts at. I would call them again for any chimney work

They did a good job. I had to vacuum up the basement when they were done because of dust. I used a different company for my brothers house and had a better job done, and a more reasonable price

They did a good job. Thought the price was a little high, but received a 3 year warranty on parts and service, so hope it will be worth it. Serviceman did a very good job explaining to me what the issues were on the first call and explained exactly what he was doing when he returned a few weeks later to install the parts and test the fireplace again to make sure everything was working properly. I would definitely hire them again.

Consumer be aware, deceptive pricing and a horrible customer service, refuses to itemize the bill for me. Update: they itemized bill for me but it's inflated to equal the original amount, still no product information. After much research and several phone calls they offered to take back the fire set. The set installed by them in less than an hour retails for around $300. They charged me $1700 and it was installed in less than an hour. They have their junk back now, it cost me $25 to stop payment and they left damage to my original fireplace. I hired a reputable€ company for a set much, much better for a total cost of $700. I showed them the original set and receipt and they were shocked. Don't let their politeness fool you because they will take you for a merry ride and clean out your check book. They also damaged the mortar in front of the fireplace and took my fire screen with them. Buyer beware !!

They called back right away to schedule the appointment. The service men called 1/2 hour ahead to tell us they were on their way. They did a great job and answered all our questions. I would definitely recommend them.

My service Technicians were Mark and Markus, they were friendly and polite, they explained everything to me including pictures where there were some issues. They handled everything in one day and were very careful and clean. I will be calling them again for any future chimney service.

I cannot speak highly enough to the service I received from A-1 Safety Chimney Service. Anthony and Brandon did an amazing job inspecting and repairing our gas log fireplace. They recommended important safety upgrades and made the necessary repairs to ensure everything remains functional and visually pleasing. Additionally, they made some enhancements to improve the overall aesthetic of our fireplace. Anthony and Brandon were very friendly and thorough. They took pictures of the damaged areas and explained the work needed in an easy-to-understand way. They were also very tidy. They insisted on wearing boot covers, tarp the area, and keeping the work area clean. No messes left behind! I was especially impressed with their overall speed! They accomplished the inspection, cleaning, refurbishment and repairs in a couple of hours! I am thoroughly impressed with A-1 Safety Chimney Service and would recommend them to anyone.
