Description of Work: My husband and I used A-1 Chimney service to have our fireplace chimney swept. We purchased a new house 1 year ago and were not sure when it was last done. It took about a month to make an appointment since A-1 said this was their busy time of year but the technicians showed up on time and seemed to have good knowledge about the job. They took before and after pictures of the work performed, which I appreciated. There were some additional problems that were pointed out during their time here. We paid for some of the additional work. They did want to charge us $350 to clear out some squirrel nesting out of our chimney. That seemed extremely high however so we did not have this work performed and I plan on getting additional quotes. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. No major complaints.

Description of Work: This was for a chimney cleaning and inspection in which they used the opportunity to give me a quote for over $800 in repairs. To be honest I haven't gotten a second opinion but the cleaning was the least of their agenda.

Description of Work: On time and professional. Gave advice on work that could be done in the future, but it would cost around $3,000 so we are ok with our chimneys as they currently are. I'd recommend them for a good chimney sweeping.

Description of Work: I purchased a special offer for a safety inspection and chimney sweep. I was told that they couldn't sweep the chimney due to the results of there inspection, which ended in pitch for nearly $3500 in repairs. I hired another local provider to inspect and sweep the chimney with the intention of getting a second opinion. As it turned out there was nothing wrong with my chimney / fireplace.
