 + 1 moreThey were very professional, from the estimate to the install, All questions were answered to my satisfaction. The only thing the installers did not speak very good english, but when I asked them to slow down and speak , it was much better communication. ala in all the experience was good.
Description of Work: Replaced and installed a new front door with a side light, all of the trim, locks, peep holes .kick plate, fancy santa fe style glass inserts.

carpet cleaners

Description of Work: Sears carpet cleaning destroyed my carpeting when their cleaning machine caught on fire. Sears repeatedly said they could remove the stain created by this machine malfunction. Sears was sent an estimate to replace the carpet, which they refused to pay. After months with the BBB Sears finally offered me 20% of the estimate. This small amount would not replace my carpeting. I sued SEARS in small claims court, had an arbitration hearing, and was awarded the full replacement cost that I had originally asked for 9 months earlier. SEARS REJECTED the award. I went before a judge that told the Sears attorney after viewing my carpet photo, that the 20% replacement offer they gave me was way too low, and to try and work it out, by offering me a higher amount. Sears offered nothing. Now I am facing a 6 man jury trial. The people responsible for this entire ordeal are Conrad Harris, Tiny Corn, Josie Thal, and the attorney representing Sears, Chasity Lomax. Please do not use Sears, they have no integrity!

 + -1 moreMy appointment was scheduled between 10am-noon. I received a call from Sears asking if their servicemen could come early, since they were finishing up a job just a block from my home. I said yes, so they arrived at approximately 9am. They remembered to wear the shoe covers I requested. They also laid down a tarp to keep from harming the floors and rug. I wasn't aware that the machine they use was in the truck and that my front door would be open the entire time, so I wasn't to crazy about that. The two men spent a lot of time talking to one another while working speedily through the job. I would have liked more information from them on the exact process and materials they were going to use before they started. If I didn't talk to them, they didn't talk to me, until it was time to pay. They finished up in about 45 minutes and told me that it would take about 4-6 hours for my furniture to be completely dry.
Description of Work: They cleaned and scotchguarded a sofa and loveseat.

 + -1 moreI thought their website was an excellent and it was easy to use. When the representative called to review my request, he was able to clarify my request and bundle the services to get a lower price. The carpet cleaners were on time, professional and they did a great job cleaning the carpet and getting the stains cleaned. When they were done my carpet was a completely different color. They also pointed out some flaws in the carpet. They used my hose for water for the cleaning process, which involved untangling all the hoses. They neatly organized them and took time to wrap them around my hose reel. I was really grateful that they did that for me since I am seven months pregnant and couldn't get the hoses organized myself. They gave me some helpful tips on keeping the high traffic areas clean. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would use them again.
Description of Work: I moved into a new home and the previous owners had a dog with a bladder control problem. I was able to make my appointment and get a price estimate from their website. I found this feature to be efficient, because I didn't have to wait for someone to call me back to get an idea of the price. I hired Sears Carpet cleaning to clean, deodorize and stain protect the high traffic areas.

 + -1 moreThe representative was punctual and courteous. However, he did a horrible job cleaning the carpet. The stains resurfaced within 3 weeks. This indicates that the dirt was not fully extracted. I expressed my displeasure to the local office. To their credit they did offer to come back out. I chose to go with another company.
Description of Work: This company was hired to clean carpet in 2 small bedrooms, basement, and stairs.
