Chris remodeled our basement several years ago and when it came time to get some more work done, we knew exactly who to call. Rosseland! Chris and his team did quality work then and nothing changed this time. Bathroom - Chris and his team replaced the bathtub, toilet, facets, light fixtures, window and all tile in our "kid's" bathroom. Originally, to save a little money, we were going to keep our existing bathtub, but at some point during the process the tub was slightly damaged. With no questions asked and without us even asking, a new tub was delivered and installed in a day! Kitchen - Chris gutted the kitchen, and installed new cabinets, an island, under cabinet lighting, new flooring, granite counter tops, a new sink, garbage disposal, ceiling pendants and can lights. He creatively hid some PVC by our ceiling so we could get rid of the soffets and have ceiling high cabinets. Carlos even installed/re-installed the above range microwave we purchased from a big box store when the store's installation guys screwed it up the first time! All of the work Chris has ever done for us has been done professionally, skillfully and without problem. His proposals are detailed, accurate and there are never any surprises. He tells you what he is going to do and he does it. He and the guys genuinely take pride in their work and you never have to worry about anyone cutting corners or not doing the job less than 100%. Demolition is performed quickly, the work area is always kept spotless, and they keep any disruptions to your life at a minimum. Chris is easy to work with, always responds quickly and courteously to our questions, and you can trust that he is going to get the job done right. We highly recommend Rosseland to everyone looking for a contractor and will be calling him again when our next job comes around!

We purchased a 1250sf 60s split-level home in more or less original condition and hired Rosseland Construction to build a 200+ sf addition on the back of the house and remodel the kitchen. We interviewed several contractors, and we hired Chris for a couple reasons: 1) he seemed genuinely excited for us about our ideas for the house, 2) he was the only one who made a point during the interview to talk about how he would get the construction equipment to the back of the house (which was a practical detail we appreciated), 3) he sent us a handwritten thank you note after meeting us, and when his estimate was ready, he offered to meet with us personally to discuss it in further detail and provided references and list of subs (none of the other contractors we met with followed up on their estimates), and 4) we were taking out a renovation loan and explained to Chris that bank would have requirements for approvals, payments, etc and he agreed he would be able to work within the bank's guidelines. Overall, Chris clearly wanted the job the most and had given the logistics some practical thought and told us that what we wanted to do was feasible, so we hired him. The drawing and permit phase took about 2 months from closing, and the construction took about 3 months. The original home had a 15x19? living room and a 12?x 15? eat-in L-shaped kitchen, separated by a non load bearing wall. It felt small, stunted, and dark. We wanted to open up and enlarge the space by removing the wall between those rooms, and reconfiguring the kitchen to have a long island, and add the dining area on the other side. Next to the dining room we wanted a roughly 10x10 mudroom/laundry room that can be entered from the outside or from the garage. We also wanted to extend the crawlspace underneath, as opposed to building the addition on a slab. Chris? architect, Mark Kollias, thoughtfully designed the addition and new kitchen with our plans in mind in such a way as to integrate it into the existing home; it does NOT look or feel like a box tacked on to the back of the house. He was very meticulous and thorough in his drawings, which made the permit application process pretty painless. The finished result looks almost exactly how I imagined it in my mind. Due to bank requirements, Chris, Marc, and Nancy Mueller of CR Cabinetry, the kitchen designer, had to do a fair amount of work before we even closed on our loan. We of course assured them we would pay for their time if we were not able to close, but it still took a leap of faith on their part and I know there are some contractors out there that would not have (or do not have the financial stability to have) dealt with the additional bank requirements and paperwork. Or, they would have required an upfront payment. We?re grateful that Chris and his colleagues hung in there with us while we got everything squared away with the bank. Chris? kitchen designer, Nancy Muller of CR Cabinetry, helped bring our vision for the new kitchen to reality by helping us design a modern, streamlined kitchen that is still warm and inviting. Her expertise helped us select cabinets and appliances, decide on a layout, choose a cabinet color (which looks great!), and maximize our available cabinet space, but still achieve the open floor plan look without any clutter. We have had several parties of 20+ people, and folks tend to gather around the island, but it does not feel cramped. The kitchen reminds me the modern kitchens I see in magazines ? I still can?t believe it?s mine sometimes. We did have an issue with the appearance of the cabinets which was more of a manufacturer issue. It was easily resolved and our cabinets look great. Other than the kitchen and addition, Chris? subs did extensive work including relocating the laundry to the first floor (which frees up the old laundry room for us to use as an office), plumbing in the kitchen for the island sink and a new line for the refrigerator, upgrading nearly all the electrical service in the house, adding exhaust fans in both bathrooms, hvac updates and relocating the a/c condenser, vacuuming the air ducts, drywalling the addition and 1 bedroom, painting the entire house inside and out, installing new hardwood floor and tile in the addition, refinishing the existing hardwood floors, and replacing baseboards throughout. This was our first home purchase and first renovation project of any kind, so we didn?t know exactly what to expect. Chris repeatedly said it would go smoothly, and it did. Chris usually did not contact us unless he had a specific question for us, but he returned our calls promptly and would give us updates when asked. We did not live in the home during the construction, but we went to check things out all the time. We could talk to any of the subs that were there and see daily progress. There were a few things that were stressful, but most of the time those things were related to us choosing tile, appliances, paint, etc. I was also concerned at the beginning about having all the trades people chosen for us (as opposed to vetting them ourselves), but they all did a good job. There were a couple surprises along the way, but no major ones given the scope of the project. I never worried about the quality of the workmanship, or that the work would not be done on time. I remember being at a 4th of July party talking about the work to another guest that worked in construction, and he said something like, ?Your contractor gave you a move-in date already? Good luck with that!? Well, aside from a handful of minor punch list items, our house ready and clean on our move-in date as promised, and we love our home.

Chris and his team come highly recommended in my book. They remodeled my kitchen (new floor, cabinets, counter and lighting) and installed new flooring in the dining room and half bath. The removal of all the old materials was done with minimum disruption and they left the worksite each night very clean. I left for three days and came home to find a clean and orderly home. Chris and Carlos went the extra mile to complete things that were not discussed in the original proposal to make it right. This was my first major remodel which can be very intimidating but Chris was always available to help with any decisions and informative as to timeframes, etc. His support in selection of cabinets, etc. was extremely helpful. I would definitely use Rosseland Construction again!!! Thanks Chris and Carlos!!

We came in on time and under budget.

Thank you! My eye surgery went well! Best of luck to you with your project!
The project took about three months and was seamless. Chris and his team were respectful of our space and did not disrupt the rest of the house - which was appreciated during the holiday season. All sub-contractors did excellent work. Selecting materials and fixtures was easy. We had some left over material (tile) from another project and the flooring folks were able to figure out how to make it work - with just enough to do the job. We use the finished basement quite a bit and are very happy with the final results.
Description of Work: Finished and unfinished basement including insulation, framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, flooring, new staircase, painting and all finishing touches. Build out of a bathroom in the basement included. We also ordered a wall of cabinets for our family room (above the basement) that was facilitated and installed by Rosseland Construction.

After getting quotes for having our kitchen remodeled by 2 large national companies and briefly considering doing our own contracting, we decided to investigate some smaller locally-based contractors. Based on his BBB and Angie?s List grades and his references, we contacted Chris Rosseland and set up an initial meeting. Chris?s professionalism and sincerity were immediately apparent, as was his ability to really listen to what we were saying. Right away we could tell that he ?got?us and our vision for our kitchen. We really wanted to work with him, and once we received his proposal, we knew we needn?t look any further for our contractor. We felt like we were safe, that we had someone we could trust, and this feeling was totally confirmed during the course of the remodel. Chris immediately put us in contact with the people he uses for all the components of a kitchen. Although we had thought that we would just replace the existing cabinets in their original configuration, Nancy, the cabinet designer, came out to the house with Chris and proposed a simple switch in the layout that totally transformed the space and which we would have never imagined. Although we had gone out independently looking at granite, Chris arranged to have his fabricator look at granite with us in order to find the perfect exotic granite that would still fit our budget. Every step of the way, Chris made sure that we were aware of the costs and that we were getting the products that we wanted to make our dream kitchen a reality and yet not overspend our budget. And every subcontractor we dealt with had nothing but praise for Chris, further reassuring us that we had made the right decision in hiring Rosseand Construction. Once construction got underway, everything proceeded according to schedule. Everyone who worked in our house was friendly, polite, professional, and meticulous about their work. The worksite was cleaned up before the workers left every day. Having done most of the work on our houses ourselves, we were very careful observers with very high standards. It took a few days before we realized that we didn?t have to be ever-vigilant?Chris and his crew (especially the masterful go-to guy Carlos) found and handled the smallest of details, even ones we might never have noticed. There were ever any bad surprises?only several very pleasant ones! The atmosphere was one of calm and competency. Our happiness and satisfaction was the chief concern, and our completed kitchen has transformed our home?we are very happy and completely satisfied! Integrity is a virtue that is sometimes sadly lacking in many people and businesses today. But Chris Rosseland exemplifies that trait. We would most heartily recommend Rosseland Construction to our family and friends or to anyone who wants a job done very, very right.
Description of Work: Our kitchen was totally gutted. A new hardwood floor was installed in the kitchen, powder room, hallway, and entry. All new cabinets, undercabinet lighting, granite countertops, and recessed lighting fixtures were installed and additional upgrades to the existing electrical wiring were done.

We now have THE MOST BEAUTIFUL bathroom EVER ! :) Chris Rosseland worked with us throughout the process, always communicating the schedule, answering all our questions and giving great ideas based on his extensive experience ! He worked with us in conjunction with the various suppliers we met with to select the various fixtures and cabinetry. Everyone working on the project was friendly, professional and punctual. When we added a couple extra cabinets, Chris helped us shop for tile, helping us save some money to offset the cost of the cabinets. We could not be happier with the results !
Description of Work: We wanted a major remodel of our master bathroom. We had a small linen closet ripped out to expand the shower, an nasty old jacuzzi was replaced by a sleek air-bubble tub and the shorter one-sink vanity was removed and a longer, two-sink vanity put in its place. New travertine tile was laid throughout and a new light/fan combo and new light fixtures installed.

It was a pleasure on our part to prepare an estimate for this member. They too were very nice people! I'm afraid there was a misunderstanding though. We have had the pleasure to work with Chris Rosseland in the past and we were very happy with his work. When we relocated back to the Chicago area a few months ago and purchased an existing townhouse, we immediately knew who we were going to call to help us make this house into our home. Initially we made a list of all the projects we wanted to accomplish and Chris worked with us and our budget restrictions to achieve as much work as we could realistically afford right now. Chris performed an entire master bathroom remodeling, but was able to allow us to utilize the existing vanity, tub, and toilet. When removing the existing shower tile, Chris discovered the builder had not used cement board and instead used regular drywall. We appreciate that Chris partners with us when doing work on our home as we like to be involved with the construction process and we love that Chris watches out for us to make sure our home is as energy efficient and well built as he can. Chris uses fabulous subcontractors which were all high quality, fun and innovative to work with. There is a lot of creative thinking with Chris and his staff; which makes your space very individualized to meet all your needs and wants. There were so many choices to make, but all the people that Chris employs to work with you are the best. We also hired Chris to repaint the entire house, recarpet the entire house (including stairway runners and carpet over tile in the lower level), repair wood flooring stains, replace toilets, sinks, and vanity tops in the powder rooms and numerous lighting fixtures. In the lower level den there was an existing wall closet that we wanted to make a computer niche into. Chris had great architectural ideas for the space and now it appears as though it has been here all the time. Chris and his staff were fabulous listeners of the overall design of the house we were trying to achieve, had numerous choices of options to choose from, and were affordable to work within our budget. There were so many people coming and going from our house, it was great to know that Chris was navigating this project from beginning to end and that we could trust him with our home. We purchased a house in the fall, but it's Chris and his staff that made the house our home. It is so great to come home and know that the people that created it the way you wanted it, cared enough to do a beautiful job and do it the right way. We have never had such a beautiful master bathroom or home. The quality of Chris' work is unbeatable and he makes your home dreams come true; he did for us.
Description of Work: After purchasing an existing townhome, we wanted to renovate some of the rooms to make the house our home. Included in this was a master bath complete remodeling, new carpet, hardwood floor repairs, wainscoating, building a computer niche, and whole house painting.
I LOVE ROSSLAND CONSTRUCTION!!!! I could not be happier. Chris Rossland went from a nice, professional contractor to now a loved part of our family. I didn't take this remodel lightly, I interviewed 7 companies before deciding on a contractor that I thought would be honest, reasonably priced, and not creepy to have in my home day in and day out. I found that in Chris Rossland. He has a very kind demeanor to him, and that kindness does not disappears throughout the construction process or after. Chris is involved in the entire process and is on the site on a daily basis. His FIRST concern is his customers happiness. His crews are also excellent! His crews were here working when they were suppose to, always on time, and sometimes even on the weekends. They were always polite and respectful of our family, and they did excellent work. None of the framing was prefabricated, all was constructed on site. Chris noticed my drain tiles were not draining properly and installed a new sump pump in the addition area. The attention to details was really impressive. If I wasn't happy with something, all I had to do was tell him and he had it fixed, usually next day, no questions asked. The progress was ongoing, there was no "dead time". Each day I'd come home and think "Wow look at all the work they got done today". On days I was home I never felt like my space was invaded by strangers, they were very respectful. Especially since I have little ears around, there was not any cursing or disrespectful language that we heard, also there was not any trash left around or cigarette butts. The work was done on time and on budget. I have referred Rossland Construction to my friends, family, and coworkers, and neighbors. I wouldn't hesitate to use Rossland construction on any project. Its funny because I see a home not far from mine that is having similar work done to it but by a different contractor , and I feel sorry for the people because they're home is still being worked on today. We were done in July, and have been enjoying our new space ever since. Rossland Construction is wonderful.
Description of Work: Addition of a 24x22 family room, a basement underneath it, replaced a one car attached garage made a two car attached garage, new siding on entire house, new roofing with new ventilation system for entire house, new driveway , patio, gas fireplace, moved stairs, brick work , new gutters, soffits, fascia, reblew insulation in entire attic, hardwood floors.

The project was smooth, professional and stress free - not an easy thing to say for such a large remodeling project! From the start, we liked Chris' ideas and demeanor. As soon as he showed up, he listened carefully to our wants and needs for the project. He immediately suggested some great ideas that we loved. After talking to many contractors, we had a good feeling that Chris was the kind of person we wanted to work with. Rosseland had great references, great reviews on Angies list, and a competitive price. We were sold. Chris helped us to find an architect for a very reasonable price to put together the plans for the addition (thousands less than other architectural bids we had received). He walked us through the design process, in conjunction with the architect, and was always able to put solid estimates to ideas during some fun design sessions. Chris was able to think quickly to help us determine how minor changes to the plans might change the overall price for the project. In short, the planning process was great, and moved at a nice, quick pace. Chris handled all of the permit process with the village, which was a relief as our village is a little 'temperamental'. When the work started, Chris and his sub-contractors did great work. We especially liked the carpenters and Chris' partner, Carlos. They were very friendly, willing to explain anything we asked, and very courteous. We had advance notice of all work, so we were always prepared for the next crew of workers. We actually were excited each day to hear about what was going to happen, and to see the project move along. This could have been a very messy project - mud, sawdust, drywall, nails etc. But Chris and his guys were very careful to clean the job site each day, leaving the house quiet and clean by the time we got home from work (4:30pm each day). Our neighbors even commented about how little mess there was during the project. Any remodeling project will run into unexpected situations. When we hit ours, Chris acted with integrity and accountability. When the custom windows we ordered showed up, Chris immediately noticed that they were not of a good build quality. Before I even knew that there was anything wrong, Chris had called out a third party inspector to look them over, had begun the process of sending them back, and had ordered new, upgraded windows. The whole situation could have been stressful for me had I been involved - the vendor did not want to give a refund, the maker disputed their poor build quality. But Chris handled all of it quickly and efficiently. We quickly had the new, nicer windows in place. Later, we discovered our AC unit would not be big enough to cool the new addition. Chris viewed this as his mistake, so he took full responsibility for remedying the situation. He put in a new, second AC/furnace unit for the addition at no cost to us. He did a great job of adjusting for a mistake and finding a good solution. Overall, I found Chris to be very responsive and communicative. One of my favorite things was that I could email him with a list of questions or issues, and he would quickly respond. Since communicating with your contractor on the phone during the work day can be challenging, this was especially helpful. All-in-all, this was a very good experience. We have undertaken several minor remodeling projects prior to this, and none have gone so smoothly. Chris Rosseland runs a tight ship, and a very professional remodeling company. I would highly recommend Rosseland construction to anyone looking for a good, honest, friendly, communicative, and fairly-priced contractor. We will definitely use Rosseland for our next project(s).
Description of Work: This was a very large project. We tore down two existing poorly built rooms. They rested on a slab foundation, which we tore out as well. Once the demolition was done, we had a new foundation (with basement) poured, built a new living room on the first floor, and added a second story addition above that space. It is a little hard to describe, but we went from a single floor family room area on a slab, to a two-story addition over a new basement space. The new basement space was built to extend our existing basement. In addition, we re-roofed, re-sided, and re-guttered the entire house and detached garage.

After hearing horror stories from friends and neighbors on various projects that they had done, we were amazed at how smoothly everything went. Chris and his guys were very professional. Chris was at our house every single day. He was on budget and on time. We could not recommend the company any higher. The before and after pictures of our kitchen are amazing. You can't go wrong with these guys!
Description of Work: We had an architect do up blueprints for a kitchen renovation/addition and to add a bedroom/bathroom/laundry room/wet bar/kitchen to our basement. We had 4 contractors bid on the project and Roseland was by far the most professional and the one we felt the most comfortable working with. They were not the lowest price, but they were much more thorough than the other three. They expanded our kitchen, added the above to our basement, and then rebuilt our back deck.

Overall I was very impressed with the work done by Rosseland Construction. The estimate was not the lowest but I felt very comfortable with Chris Rosseland. I have had some very bad experiences in the past and I needed someone I could trust and Chis has earned my trust. There were some minor problems as the work progressed and I was VERY impressed with the manner in which the issues were addressed - immediate and complete with no arguments. My needs were well met and I am enjoying my "new" bathroom. I was so pleased that I have asked Rosseland Construction to remodel my "guest" bath and to do some much needed work in two of my bedrooms!

We spoke with three contractors re the basement finishing project. All three had good reputations for the job we wanted done. However, Chris Rosseland made such a positive impression with his responsiveness to our ideas and questions. His very detailed proposal was provided within a week. We especially appreciated the use of an architect and the thoroughness of the planning. Chris was so easy to work with...always pleasant and patient with concerns. Any question was addressed in a timely manner. His employees were punctual, tidy and careful, and most important, the carpenters, plumbers, electricians, painters, etc. did great jobs! The finished basement is beautiful...we love it! We would recommend Rosseland Construction to anyone looking for first quality work in their home.
Description of Work: Rosseland Construction finished our basement including a bathroom, bedroom and family room. The work included drywall ceilings, wainscoting, bathroom with tiled shower, carpentry change to the staircase.

There was never a day without workers and the clean up was impeccable every day. I always had access to Chris every time I had a question and if he didn't pick up the phone he always called right back. He was at the house at all the important times and would drop by at other times. I felt I could thoroughly trust him and Carlos, they make a great team. There was never a problem with Chris even if I thought there might be. The main thing with Chris is everything in the end comes together beautifully...no problem. What a relief. I finally struck gold with Rosseland. He is very laid back but that is combined with outstanding professionalism. My lower level was a total gut of a 1960's Jetson style and it was turned into a very comfortable and updated, sleek piece of art. That may sound like overkill but everyone who sees it can't believe their eyes. It is brand new yet still blends with the rest of the house. I would use Chris again in a heartbeat.
Description of Work: Chris had an architect draw up exact plans for my approval, got a dumpster, porta potty, plumber, electrician, dry wallers, hvac, tilers, carpenters and also had places lined up for me to purchase fixtures, carpet, tiles, cabinets. He also has a great guy named Carlos who does a lot of the work like baseboards, doors and painting. I had a bathroom with shower installed, new walk in storage closet, new laundry room and of course the main family room.

Communication was very important to us. Corresponding with Chris was easy and reassuring. We stumbled into some unforeseen challenges as can be expected with many remodel projects, the matters were addressed quickly and completely. The carpenters, plumbers, electricians and flooring contractor that partnered with Chris were all excellent. It was notable to us that Chris Rosseland has long standing relationships with a network of quality tradesmen. We hired our own contractors for waterproofing and HVAC before hiring Rosseland, Chris worked seamlessly with them too. Bottom Line ... Our home is like new and the finished project exceeded our expectations. An officer of our Homeowner's Association said it looks like a new model home! Job well done!
Description of Work: Outstanding job by Chris Rosseland and his team. We purchased a run down foreclosure and wanted extensive work done. Chris designed and built a 600 sq. ft. master bedroom suite over our garage. Rosseland also installed new siding, windows and doors for the entire house. On the inside we did a complete teardown of the kitchen and baths - installing all new cabinets, fixtures, tile and granite countertops. Chris also installed beautiful new hardwood floors and carpeting.

From the initial visit through the completion of the project, Chris Rosseland, his employees and his partners were helpful, patient, informative, on-time and on-budget. Pros: Chris Rossland was a pleasure to work with. He kept every committment and was completly accessible throughout the project Chris recommended only quality partners. Nicco Interiors (cabinets) was particularily helpful in the design phase. All tradesmen and laborers arrived on-time and conducted themselves professionally. Over the 4 weeks to complete the job, the work area was kept very clean and considerable atttention was paid to minimize impact to the rest of the home. Outside of the scope of the project, and at no expense to us, Chris had our entire first floor cleaned (nice touch!). We love our new kitchen and feel that it represents everything that we were trying to accomplish. Chis Rosseland and his parners made this possible by exposing us to great ideas, quality products, and a huge dose of patience!
Description of Work: Rosseland Construction was the General Contractor for a total kitchen remodel.

After receiving a few quotes I decided to go with Rosseland Construction. Chris came out the house at a convenient time for me, looked over what I wanted done and within a week I had several quotes. Chris took his time and walked around and through my house and let me and my wife dream a little and provided us with cost estimates on several job's we would "like" to have done at some time. He separated our wish list from the actual work we needed done and provided separate quotes. I was shocked to find out that the quote he gave us for fixing and covering the existing wood work included new gutters and down spouts. When the team arrived they got right to work and did an excellent job.
Description of Work: My eves on my two story house were beginning to rot, so I had a few companies prepare quotes to have them replaced / fixed. I also had replacing the widow wood frames and several other wooded areas around my house repaired. I have aluminum siding on my house, accept for certain parts. I had all of them repaired and covered with aluminum siding to match the rest of the house.

We interviewed several other contractors to do this job, and I am so glad that we hired Chris. From the beginning to the end, he and his crew were conscientious, professional and thorough. Whatever he said would be done, was finished on time and with quality workmanship. He was approachable and offered suggestions and ideas and answered my questions as they arose during the project. This was the first major remodeling project we have ever done and I was very nervous about choosing a contractor. I would hire Chris to do any future remodeling on our house as he made the process very easy on my family. The entire project was finished ahead of his time estimate and Chris guarantees his work, although I will be surprised if we have any problems.
Description of Work: Chris and his crew remodeled our unfinished basement into a beautiful family room, laundry room and storage room.
Chris with the GC we worked wtih to design and build our 1,100 sq ft addition. Chris finished the project in 5 months. he was very helpful and cooperative through the process; helping us sort out a multitude of decisions. The contractors he used for each phase did high quality jobs, were very efficient and respectful of our personal space. Chris is very easy to work with and kept our desires and best interests in mind through-out. We had structural issues early on that Chris worked through with us very collaboratively. I highly recommend working with him. We are thrilled with our new space!
Description of Work: Approximately 1,100 sq foot addition including a great room, office, and bedroom with basement underneath, extension/remodeling of kitchen and remodeling of master bedroom and bathroom.

We decided last year to add onto our house rather than move. We were looking for a builder that wasn't going to go out of business halfway through the project, was going to do quality work, and had experience adding onto a basement. We met Chris pretty early on in the process and knew right away that he was our first choice. He was extremely professional and very easy to get along with. The first day he came out to look at our job he brought a folder with information about his company, credentials, and references. He was very quick at responding to messages, always within a day and usually even within minutes. He had excellent reviews on Angie's List, excellent BBB rating, and no problems turned up in the Experian report we ran on him. He was helpful with providing written estimates for the banks we were trying to get loans from and revising the estimate when we had to scale back the project. He did this without even knowing if he was getting the job. Also, he was finishing up a job where he added onto someone's basement and had us come over to see how it turned out for ourselves. Nevertheless, we felt that we had to do our due diligence and get bids from a few contractors. Although a couple of them came in a little lower they couldn't come close to Chris with regard to reviews, credentials, communication, and personality. Considering everything mentioned above, there was no question that we felt most comfortable with Chris doing the job and it was worth the money. After signing the contract, the work started within a couple weeks. Chris listened to our concerns about protecting a Maple tree near the work zone and took steps to protect it. He took care with the sections of my fence and deck that needed to be removed during the construction and everything was put back together very nicely. He put up a temporary fence across the backyard so that the work and debris would stay within that area and my young kids could have the other half of the yard to safely play in. In the basement he put down plastic on the carpet, covered up the furniture and toys, and put up a temporary plastic wall to keep all the dust within a confined area. He really took a lot of care to protect our house and minimize any mess. I couldn't believe how fast things were happening. Within 2 months the rooms were done and ready for paint and trim. It was really impressive how Chris had everything scheduled so that there was very little down time. The workers were always on time in the morning and usually done for the day by dinner time so there was very little disruption in our lives for much of the project. There really weren't any problems during the construction but if there ever was something that I wanted done a little different Chris took care of it. We later ended up also having Chris reside the entire house and replace the bedroom windows as well. Everything turned out great and we love our "new" home. Thanks Chris!
Description of Work: Rosseland Construction build a room addition onto our house which consisted of a ground level room and basement level room. The upper room has a cathedral ceiling with lots of windows. They upgraded our electric service panel and A/C unit. They resided our entire house with vinyl siding and replaced all the bedroom windows.

This project was terrific from beginning to end. And not many people can say that about remodeling. Chris always kept my goal in mind. His suggestions were excellent and some of them even reduced the price. His workers were always on time, left at a decent hour (before dinner), and always cleaned up after themselves. Their work was excellent and I dont think the project could have gone any better. I'm thrilled with the results - I've rec'd only positive feedback on the bathrooms from realtors and potential buyers. I love the bathrooms and plan to have Chris come out to the new house to remodel out there.
Description of Work: Complete remodeling of two bathrooms, remodeling of a third bathroom, repair kitchen cabinet, install stove, replaced doors

Chris and Carlos did a great job. All work was done professionally. If there was a problem, it was immediately addressed and corrected. Chris was always available via phone or e-mail. Although the project took slightly longer than expected, much of it was our fault as we were slow to pick out things with longer lead times. Chris has a good list of supplier partners for such things as flooring, cabintry, and bath, bar and light fixtures. We didn't always use them, but it was nice to know we had someplace to start and someboday to talk to if we needed it. Overall, a great experience.
Description of Work: Finished a basement including sealing cracks, framing, cabintry, granite, plumbing for powder room and bar sink, carpeting, pergo, ceramic tile, electical work, painting, adding/moving HVAC ducts, help with architectural design and provided architectural drawings for permit.
