Overall my experience was terrible. I am a senior living by myself. I don't know a thing about plumbing, nor did I have an identified problem. I do not recommend this company. Trying to get an appointment, being told the conversation was over and hung up on, water heater leaking after visit by Kirk, and guilt trip by Kirk on how he works for free and Angie gets all the money, kind of says it all. Jeremiah came out and fixed the,now, leaking water tank by putting a cap on it. Except now I have a toilet that doesn't fill when flushed, another new problem since Kirk. 2nd time around - Jeremiah was professional and did the necessary work - he told me there would be no charge. I would not recommend this service to anyone living alone, without an identified problem, and knowledge of plumbing. . .

Gave me a great sales price and honored that price. Would definitely use again.

I have mixed feelings about how this went. The representative was punctual, helpful, nice, stayed late to meet me and explain some things, etc etc. So during the visit I didn't have any qualms. However, afterwards I got a second opinion and I'm concerned I got 'upsold' on something that wasn't necessary (from a $79 sewer rodding to a $800 hydrojetting). I bought a angie's list deal for sewer rodding and once the tech arrived he said he was concerned about rodding as the tiles were old and roots were large, thus he was concerned about potentially causing a collapse of the sewer. I paid for the upgrade to what he described as a gentler and safer option (hydrojetting) for 10x the price ($800). I wasn't happy about it, but I didn't want my sewer line collapsing either. They did the hydrojetting, and then told me that I had cracked tiles and they were at risk of collapse. I tried to get more information about how urgent the problem was, and the rep wasn't able to define how rapidly they would need replaced (if it was truly an immediate MUST DO or if we could consider it in 1-2 years). He gave me a quote around $3400 to do the relining of the sewer. I called for a second opinion from another plumber, and he said that unless the tiles are collapsing, it is probably something that could wait a year or two. Additionally his rate for re-lining was about 20% lower. So while I had a fine experience with Perfect Home Services, I do think they may have attempted to persuade me into doing more than was really necessary. In the end I can't say for sure if that was intentional, or if it was just a matter or varying opinions on the urgency of the work.

He replaced our flapper on our toilet and that stopped the problem. I did not have time for him to do a whole house inspection but he gave me some advice on my upstairs shower and did what I wanted them to do.

You can pick between two four hour time frames, 8-12 or 1-5pm. Kirk arrived around 2:00pm empty handed. Wanted to be brought to areas he might be working, since I only had a utility room and two bathrooms, I brought him to each. Went out to his car for a water hose, came back in and hooked up the hose for a water heater flush. He ran the water in each bathroom, checked other things (not sure what), and was done in about 10 minutes. SECOND PERSON SENT WAS POLITE, EXCELLENT AND SOLVED THE PROBLEM LEFT BY THE FIRST TECHNICIAN. ALL IS WELL.

Ben came to the site within the 4 hour window that was scheduled and was able to start the service immediately. He was professional and knowledgeable about the services being performed. I watched the monitor with him to see if there were any issues with my drains and luckily there were none. I then showed Ben the other plumbing work that needed to be done on the house so he could give me an estimate. I am doing other renovations on the property at the moment and depending on what the plumbing costs are, it will determine if I can get the work done this time around. I have not received the estimates yet but I anticipate they will be sent over soon. 10/22/2012 - I still haven't received my estimate from Ben. Not sure why. I sent them a message inquiring but still no answer as of this date. I now have changed their responsiveness score from B to C.

Jerry was the plumber who came to my home. He was very professional, arrived promptly at the agreed time. He was friendly, very polite and very willing to answer any questions we had. First impress - we liked him, and that did not change during the course of the inspection. I would describe him as the type of man you want coming to your home to service a problem. He checked to see the cause of the water running every five minutes, determined it was the flapper that was not set correctly, went and retrieved a new one from his truck and reset the operation. After that everything worked properly. He then asked what other plumbing issues we had and I really appreciated the fact that he brought that up rather than us. I say that because it showed he was there to do what the special advertised would be done. My son said the bathtub water was not draining fast enough and we learned a very interesting piece of information. Instead of pouring liquid solvents down the drain he pulled out a tiny plastic brush which he used and anyone can buy for about $3.00. We asked if we could try it out on our faucets and he let us use it and it worked beautifully. Amazing what one can find in a drain that you wouldn't think would be there. He also checked our ceiling in the lower level right below where the bathroom we were in was because I recalled there were marks which looked like leaking might have occurred. He ascertained they were old and nothing to do with the new toilet. He was going to check our other bathroom but we are remodeling everything in that room so it wasn't necessary. He checked our sump pump, our laundry room faucets and advised us to replace the hoses in the near future. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and we would use them again because we were pleased with the service, the man doing the service and the company which stood behind the whole tune up and inspection they offered.

I had a sewer insurance policy but did not know what it covered and it seems they would have done this work too, if I had called them. My drain by my washing machine was backing up. At first I thought it was the washing machine leaking, but later discovered the water was coming up from the drain on the floor. So I looked on Angie's list for a plumber, thinking it was just a rodding out of the sewer drain. I contacted the plumber and made the appointment for 8/24/12. The plumber came out and was punctual. He brought in his equipment and got to work. However, the job was more involved with tree roots in the drain pipes connecting to the city sewer system. He quoted me a cost and that is when I decided to contact the sewer insurance policy that I just had purchased form the city. They said they could handle it so I called them and about one week later I had the problem fixed without paying anything. It was all covered by the insurance policy which cost me $59.00 for the year!

Good. The service tech followed advise from previous estimate. He did a good job was very polite, and on time. He explained things clearly. Technician was great and he he is great asset to their company. I just think that plumbing companys charge way to much in general. They charge more than a fortune 500 attorney per hour.

Our 59 year old home had one basement pipe we had never had rodded because it was so awkwardly located that we couldn't get to it. All our bathroom waste from the first floor and the basement travel through this pipe so it was imperative that we get this thing cleared and running. Jason K, the plumber worked for a couple hours trying all sorts of tricks to reach this pipe and then once he reached it, to break through; when he told me that it wasn't looking good, I prayed and within seconds, WHOOSH! He broke through the iron-clad obstruction in the pipe. It was God and Jason, our plumbers, who persevered and succeeded. Unfortunately the pit pump had recently been replaced (not by this company) and one of the new pipes was incorrectly seated so that when the ejector pump went off, that new pipe connection broke open and sprayed sewage in the area almost to the ceiling, all over our games closet contents and the carpeting outside that room. What a horrendous stinky mess. Even though this was not the plumbers fault, Jason cleaned up the biggest of the sewage mess and didn't complain. I really felt sorry for him. No extra charge for the cleanup. I would definitely use this guy again.

The air conditioning in my rental unit had a leak and was not cooling adequately. I called this company because I had previously used them with excellent results. Both times I have used this company they came out the same day I called, and fixed the problem quickly once arriving. Mike Costa is the service technician that came out both times for service and he is friendly, knowledgable, and explains things thoroughly. He also reports the options you have in regards to repair. All in all I found my dealings with this company and Mike very positive.

Paul is very professional. He arrived on time, looked out for my floors, explained what he found, solved the problem and applied a discount that we receive as maintenance contract clients.

My service specialist was kirk. He arrived on time and asked my if I had any concerns. I stated that I heard a ping in the water heater after I used the washer or shower. He flushed my water heater and checked the plumbing in the kitchen and bathroom. He also checkedmy airflow ducts in my crawlspace and determined that my air ducts were damaged due to escaping air. The dripping water sound hasstopped in the water heater and I would recommended Perfect Home Services.

Company responded right away to schedule the appointment, but missed their target window by 55 minutes. Then it turned out that the access opening to the sewer line in the bathroom was too small and the rodding machine was too tall to fit in the crawl space to access the larger access port. The only other option was to spend $189.00 remove the toilet, rod the line from there and then replace the toilet. This was in addition to the $79.00. Since I had no noticeable issues with line, I decided to decline the offer. I am waiting to see what portion of my $79.00 will be refunded. I don't expect it all back because they did make a trip out.

He explained about everything that he would do and answered any of my questions. He completed the work and cleaned up after he was finished. He did a a great job.. Arlene Dovichi

I scheduled an appointment for a Wednesday morning and took a half day off of work to have a slow drain cleaned. I was told I was scheduled as the second job of the day for the plumber and he should be at our house by 10am, and I would get a call first thing in the morning to confirm. At noon I had not heard a word from anyone at Perfect Home Services and left for work. They wasted a half day of my time and did not follow up. Very frustrating.

The project went very well. The team communicated, kept us appraised of where we were, what we needed in order to stay on schedule and the reason behind everything they did. I was so pleased with Jerry, Rob (? - I may have that name wrong, our apologies) and Chris. They were fantastic and I am extremely pleased with the work they did and the way they left my home. The decision not to move forward with the water heater at this point was related to our budget and not a reflection on the team. We simply had to prioritize where to spend the money.

We had water coming up in the laundry room and the toilet was gurgling when we ran the shower or washer. We called the company shortly after 2pm. We had a technician out to our house before 6pm that evening. I thought it was a very quick response given that it was a sunday. The technician was very knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. He rooted out the outside line pulling some tree roots as he went. He also ran a camera down to check the sewer line for breaks. When he did find some issues he clearly and carefully explained all of our options. He showed us everything on the camera so we could see where the issues were. He was very professional through out the entire visit. I would definitely recommend this company to friends and family.

Alot less than Perfect. This company is running an Angie's List deal that is a tremendous discount on Trenchless Sewer Repair. So they have been socked with alot of calls they can't handle because they have only 1 estimator to do it. The estimator was 1 1/2 hours late. He gave many excuses as to why & I decided to give him my benefit of doubt. He then proceeded to ask me who the other 2 companies were that I have estimates from. I told him so I could see what he would say & he did exactly what I expected. He knocked both by saying they were using inferior materials. I let him continue. He asked if I knew how long our sewer was & since I told him it was cameraed by 3 other Plumbing companies so I knew it was about 88 feet. So using a tape measure he measured from our basement wall inour front yard out to across the street were our sewer line is separated from the water main. He did not use the camera he had with him to check it for himself which is part of the discount offer. This is the statement from the Angie's List webpage for the deal. HAVE PERFECT HOME SERVICES COME OUT FOR A FREE VIDEO INSPECTION INCLUDING DETAILED ESTIMATE BEFORE YOU BUY! He told me I had to pay for the discount today before it ran out I told him I couldn't do that. He also said that if I paid it & changed my mind he could get our money back although he made this sound like it could be a problem to do that. My Mother, Age 86 is the owner of our built in 1965 home. I am her 54 year old Son & I handle situations like this for her. He wasted my entire afternoon & I would never consider Perfect Home Services for anything. Do Not Trust This Deal. The actual cost for the length he measured without the camera so he was only guessing what length need to be repair was just over $9000. Without the discount he told me it would be forty percent more so the normal cost based on inaccurate measurements would be about $12,000. This is about $ 3,000 more than my other estimates. I called them because of their excellent Angie's List reviews. So I don't know or care why this happened I only know it happened exactly as I have stated.

GOOD EXPERIENCE AND REASONABLE PRICE.

Overall I am happy with the individual who "finally" arrived. Did good inspection and drained water heater . . gave me detailed estimate of recommended work to bring some of my water heater connections to code . . and oher recommendations. Only concern/complaint is that person arrived 2.5 hrs late . . don't mind problems that can occur with vendors that cause them to be late, but they never called me about the delay. I had to call several times before connecting wth the dispatcher. Once connected to dispatcher, I received updates on person's arrival. Again, overall, I am happy with the vendor and will use them again. Update: I was looking at my deal, and there were some things listed that I'm not sure were done. I'm not aware that he tested any emergency shut off. He didn't test toilet tanks for leaks. He wasn't going to drain my tank because it didn't have a hole in the floor to drain, but I offered a bucket, and that was done. He did test the faucets. I'm thinking they probably shouldn't have stated in the deal things they would do, if they weren't going to do them. Again, he was a very nice guy that came out, though.

This was a tenant-occupied property so the A/C repair needed to be done right away. The price was very high but I did not have any options given the urgent need. The repair worked and the unit has been in service since.

Very professional. Very knowledgeable. I even had him draw a little diagram of our plumbing system since I was having trouble visualizing what he was talking about.

The guy who showed up performed no troubleshooting...just took my assistant's story - that I'd been living in the home for 7 years and that the A/C required a refrigerant refill the previous year - and wrote up a detailed 3 page estimate with 6 options....each with a corresponding X monthly payments of $Y dollars each.The A/C required cleaning and maybe a refrigerant top-up. What Perfect Home thought I needed was:A/C Component Rebuild for $3220Mini A/C Rebuild for $2290Leak Test and repair with 3 year warranty for $1808Leak Test with 1 year warranty for $1436PerfectSeal leak repair, no warranty for $772Refill Refrigerant for $503Alarmed at the high price, my assistant called me for direction ...I told Perfect Home to go pound sand and picked another contractor (Elgin Sheet Metal) from Angie's List to come give me a second opinion. This second contractor came out the same day I called, cleaned the compressor and added a pound of refrigerant for, wait for it, $195!!! ....LESS THAN HALF the price quoted by Perfect Home for the same service. Needless to say, the other 5 options quoted by Perfect Home were an outright attempt to scam. Stay away from this company.

I had received 2 letters from the Water Department stating we had a leak. I was procrastinating. I happened upon the offer Angie's List posted and thought why not, have everything checked and find that leak. As I stated above, this experience has been great so far. The new unit and repair work will take place tomorrow and I am excited to have this problem taken care of. I am excited about picking the tankless water heater as I have heard only positive things. They also have a VIP program that honestly is insurance for us and all our plumbing and HVAC needs. Something less to worry about. Nothing was forced on me, which I like. Just honest information was presented.
