Perfect Home Service called ahead of time to notice me of the delay in scheduled service; about 30 minutes. The technician worked for about 1½ hours. His progress was blocked about 30 ft. in due to massive roots in the pipe. He pulled some out but could not continue. Another technician came in for a camera inspection and offered solutions such as high pressure sewer jet and trenchless sewer repair. Both of the technicians were very nice and took time to explain the situation. I asked for an estimate to be sent by E-mail, but I never received it.

The provider came out, determined that there was damage to the furnace and that they would provide a quote for repair/replacement. No quote was ever provided, even after several calls and attempts at escalation with a manager. I took my business elsewhere.

Came out on emergency call on Sat, furnace out. Agreed to replace furnace Monday 8AM. Came on time, good clean job, delivered what they promised at price quoted. Great Service.

I didnt end up getting the work done because we didn't have the right set up.

My experience went very well. The technician was prompt and on time. He was very courteous to my wife and he was professional. He cleaned up well after himself.

Before I write down the negatives, I do want to commend this company on their professionalism and politeness. Everyone I spoke with was very kind and I truly think this was just a bad situation. A technician came out to my house around 7 pm and spent 2 hours attempting to diagnose the issue. He bypassed sensors as any troubleshooting work would require and could still not figure it out. After 2 hours of failed diagnoses, he pointed to the entire ignition system and said "the issue is somewhere in here but I can't find it". So, the "repair" was a replaced ignition system at a whopping approx. $1700. plus $150 diagnostic fee ~$1850 overall (I even asked to get the diagnostic fee added in to the repair or replacement and they wouldn't give it to me). Given the age of the furnace, the other option was a replacement at around $4200 for a decent furnace. I am not the type of person to pull the trigger on anything quickly, especially when I don't know the problem and neither does the technician. As a "service" to me, the technician borescoped the internals to look at the heat exchanger coils to not find a single crack, "surprising" he said to me for the age of the furnace. I took it as good news and went for a second opinion the next day to try to diagnose the problem. The 2nd company came out, diagnosed it as the gas valve in 5 minutes and had my furnace running in 30 minutes (Chicagoland Heating and Cooling). Afterwards, he did a much more thorough borescope of the heat ex-changer and found an unbelievable amount of substantially large cracks. For those of you who do not know what this means, it can be a source of Carbon monoxide poisoning due to the internal of the heat ex-changer chamber being gas combustion air. It is beyond me and extremely concerning to me that a trained technician could not find this in the first service. Additionally, when the 2nd company was actually fixing the problem the next day, several sensors were not hooked back up which meant I was paying a 2nd company, to fix the work that the first technician of Perfect Home Services, did not complete. The more distrubing issue here, is that my entire families lives (newborn child) were potentially at risk if the furnace has incomplete combustion leaking CO into our house from the heat running if the technician would have been able to fix it. Additionally, I called for a full refund of my $150 diagnostic fee which resulted in literally throwing money away, and they were able to give me $75 of the $150. Apparently a life threatening situation is only worth half price. Needless to say, I wouldnt' recommend this company to come out and do furnace repairs.

Thought service could be provided, but my plumbing was not up to code so the provider could not perform job and said I could get a refund .

When experiencing a broken furnace over the weekend, we contacted them at 8am on a Monday morning to have them come out and estimate the cost of a new furnace. They took down our information and said they would have someone call us back that morning to schedule an appointment to come out. When we hadn't heard from them by 11am, we called back and spoke with someone about setting up an appointment. Initially during the call they said that it wouldn't be a problem to get someone out later in the day and that the schedule was wide open. I said we could do anytime except between 3-4pm. As they looked at the schedule they started to push the appointment window later and later, finally suggesting a time Tuesday morning. We asked if someone could come out on Monday still as we wanted to make a decision that day about the new furnace as the weather was very cold and we didn't have much heat. They said someone could come out between 5-6pm that evening. We waited until 6:30pm and never received a call and no one showed up. The next day there was still no communication. We ended up going with another company, as we didn't have the time to wait. Though we understand there may have been a miscommunication within the company on the appointment time/location, after talking to them twice earlier in the day and giving our information twice, it would have been nice to know if they couldn't make the scheduled appointment so we weren't waiting around.

I have used Perfect Home Services in the past to install a new heater and whole home humidifier, and have been very satisfied with their work. So I called them a few days ago when I needed two fast plumbing repairs. They sent out Karl S. the very next day, and I was totally satisfied with him. He was friendly, helpful, and very professional, doing a good job on what turned out to be two rather difficult repairs. I would definitely call Perfect Home Services again.

We scheduled the service for Oct. 31st and they did not show and finally called me that day to reschedule for Nov. 4th. They said they would call me on Nov. 3rd to confirm the appointment time, which they never did, and they did not show again. They called after the appointment time to reschedule. I found this very unprofessional that they could not call ahead to let me know they would need to reschedule because I have now wasted two days waiting for them to not show up. I have requested a refund from Angie's List.

They needed a permit to be able to honor the Big Deal, which they don't handle. They informed me over the phone and I requested a refund.

They came out and did the hydro-jet system. The sink seemed to be alright for about two weeks. The same thing happened again. They sent someone out who just routed my sink. Neither time did a they use a camera to inspect the job. They never bothered to diagnose the problem. Last Friday, there was junk leaking all over my floor. I called Roto Rooter. It cost my an additional $543. I called Perfect Home Services back for some kind of refund. They asked me to submit the receipt form Roto Rooter. They came out twice and the job was not done properly and this is why I am wanting that refund.

I purchased the Angies List 99.00 deal and am very happy with service and results! Same day service to resolve the plumbing issues I was having! Thank you!

Call went well from first contact with customer service person who answered the phone at midnight when I realized we had a problem in the house with the ejector pit pump. Pump constantly running and overheating. Really liked Art S. who came out at the time we had set up. He's a very professional guy, diagnosed the problem (bad switch). Given the age of the pump, chose to have the pump replaced. I felt the cost of the pump was reasonable. Diagnosed the problem and fixed the pump along with insuring the correct PVC tubing in place. After it was completed, Art went over all the work done, and made sure I had no questions. I've worked with Professional Home Services in the past, both at my home and a rental property, and this makes the 4'th time. I've never been disappointed with any facet of the service, and I've always thought their prices were fair. I've always been presented with pricing options, appreciate that too. I also ended up purchasing a service contact for a year ($80) for the plumbing, it covers a lot including year checkups and knocks the service fee for showing up to $0. From my view, it pays for itself as soon as you use the yearly checkup. That fee was part of the overall cost of service today. I'm just a happy customer with these guys, no tie in. I found them on Angie's List and never been disappointed. Highly recommended for HVAC and/or Plumbing work.

They came out and worked on two furnaces. We were pleased with what they did.

It went very well. They had to remove two toilets because of the re-worked plumbing in our house. They did not complain about the extra work and completely cleaned up after the job was done!

I wasn't there for the appointment, my wife was and said they were good and answered all the questions she had. They didn't find any issues or problems in the line, so that was good.

They could not do it. They never came out.

For $44 gave me some peace of mind that we didn't have major plumbing problems, but there was no actual labor/plumbing repair involved so I can't speak to that. Gave me some quotes on other things that other plumbers were going to charge me for just to come out and look at.

When they got here they tried to upsell us. They indicated the smaller rodding was what was included and recommended the larger rod. While they did fine, I didn’t like their business practices.

They came out and couldn?t get it unclogged, so I?m getting a refund. They came out on time. The tech Kyle was very clean and very respectful of our home. Scott was great to deal with.

The wax ring on a toilet at our office needed replaced. Perfect Homes Services came and gave me the folowing quote 1. replace the toilet with a more efficent one $1100 2. Replace the wax ring $500 This is for one hour work I did not use their service. They were very expensive.

The work was done promptly and the gentleman explained everything that was found in detail. Very professional!
