I recently used Perfect Home Services at my residence to install a new HVAC system. We were not in an immediate need for a new system, but thought it would be a good idea to upgrade our system because original system was dated and we have a young family. My wife and I did a fair amount of research on the purchase because this was a substantial investment for us. We decided we wanted to move forward with a 17 SEER system, 4 Ton AC Unit, and 100K BTU 96% furnace. We then scheduled appointments with 6 different contractors to ensure we were obtaining the most competitive bid by a reputable company. All of the contractors were asked to quote the same exact equipment. After reviewing the bids from the contractors several of them were close. It wasn't until PHS decided to run a Black Friday Sale at 10% off that we decided to move forward with them. The installation went fine and after some minor troubleshooting at the end of the install, they were able to get our new system up and running. A week later, I opened a case on the AHRI website to obtain the product ratings for the equipment installed. This information is required to obtain your rebates. When the certificate was later sent to me, I determined PHS actually installed a 15 seer system in our house. I then went back and reviewed the fine print in the proposal and found the key words "up to 17 SEER". It kind of makes sense now why PHS didn’t initially provide me with the AHRI paperwork. The cost difference between a 15 seer system and a 17 seer system is significant ($3,370) not to mention additional money lost in rebates. When I met with the sales guy at my house (Justin) there was no confusion as to which equipment I wanted installed (The other 5 contractors bid the work correctly). I am confident PHS purposely mislead me as a consumer and they likely do this to all of their customers. Buyers beware, make sure you know exactly which type of equipment you are purchasing. Up to 17 seer, is NOT a 17 seer system. How many consumers buy a car with “up to” 200 horse power, or a refrigerator with “up to” 30 cuft. of storage? Of the “thousands” of customers that bought units from PHS, I’ll bet a small percentage of them even know this is happening to them when they buy from PHS. You’re buying a much cheaper system and your proposal is very misleading. Up to 17 SEER could really mean 14 SEER per their contract. It’s also worth mentioning that none of the other contractors I obtained quotes from used “up to” language in their contract. I can’t believe we have been taken advantage of like this after all of the research performed. Just be careful, these aren’t the friendly people they appear to be.

Also provided and discussed recommendations for future consideration regarding certain updates and improvements in HVAC system to improve quality and efficiency. 3) Receipt, service summary and recommendations conveniently provided by email attachments. Very convenient for review and future reference. 4) Renewed VIP service for another year - includes: a/c, heating, plumbing.

Bruce was the friendliest and most professional, helpful serviceman we've ever had. He was quick and honest about the repair and made several helpful recommendations to us. I'm so appreciative of the help!

Service tech Jeff was excellent. Very responsive, professional, and gave a honest quote for the repairs and to bring everything up to code. The quality of the repairs were outstanding. The furnace runs better than it did before and everything is up to code. I will trust Jeff in the future for yearly maintenance and repairs.

Jeff did an excellent job, was on time for appointment, described products that were needed on the call and "negotiated" a better price with his boss because I'm a preferred customer. I would definitely hire again and request Jeff M.

It went very well. While I wasn't thrilled to hear I needed a new furnace, Kyle was extremely helpful in explaining what the issues were and why a new furnace was the most economical decision. I needed a new a/c as well (I had planned on replacing in March) and they ended up doing a combo for a very reasonable price. Knowing I had children and it was cold, Keith and Kyle A. came out that night and installed the furnace - they were thorough but quick and extremely professional. They cleaned everything up and made sure all was in proper order before they left. The response time from start to finish was phenomenal - I'm grateful I found Perfect Home Services and I will definitely use them in the future.

Jason was thorough and efficient, explaining everything I needed to know. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. He was polite and pleasant.

Went great. Darryl determined that there was a problem with my Nest thermostat. It needed a common wire connected, which he did and it worked great.

Went very well. Decided to go for a furnace replacement. Kyle Rivera was friendly and professional. He clearly explained the issues he found and gave our options. He helped extend our line of credit and was able to get us a discount on a new furnace since we purchased an AC unit from the same company a year ago.

Terrible. They came out and rodded it, then put a B&W camera down the line and told us that the sewer line was separated, a 10-foot hole would need to be dug in our front yard through the landscaping to find the separation. They dug, and could not find where the line exited our house, and wanted to dig another hole. We insisted that they hire a 2nd opinion, who came out with a color camera, and told us that there is no problem with our sewer and we never needed the dig. So, they hole covered the whole back up. 2 years later the city says they have to inspect the sewer line work because Perfect Home never closed out the work with the city. I emailed, called, and faxed Perfect Home to ask them to contact the city, and Perfect Air ignored me until I posted a FB message. They had no records that they hired this second company to perform the 2nd opinion. The city finally believed me that no sewer line work was ever done, fortunately. The worst part of this--we had a household of people over Thanksgiving, and we had to use a neighbor's bathroom, shower, and dishwasher for the holiday, and it turns out that after the rodding was done the day b4, we never needed to stop using our water and sewer like Perfect Home asked us to do while they looked for the sewer line for over a week. Ugh. Terrible service, and they don't keep good records!

Very well. Faucet looks great, area was totally cleaned up and I am very happy with the job done. Joe, who put the faucet in is very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining what needed to be done. He's a very pleasant person, too.

Was unable to complete, because the association has to shut the water off. Nevertheless Justin P., kept me well inform of multiple option that I can take, was very courteous, and professional.

The work was started in time and the job was done completely by the end of the day. Everything was done perfectly and neatly. It was a thorough job.

Justin was great. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He fixed the issue quickly and took time to explain how to prevent it from happening again. Justin fit us into his schedule even though it was a very busy day for him and I was very appreciative that I did not have to wait to have my drain fixed!

Very good service. Found that previous homeowner, who had replaced the AC with a new Lennox unit 3 years ago, had not also installed surge protection for the extensive internal electronics. So, this was installed, in addition to the maintenance check. Very impressed with service technician: Kyle R. Signed up for annual HVAC (and plumbing) maintenance agreement.

The work took about an hour and a half. They cleaned up very good.

It went great! I called at 11:30 am, and had the tech out by 2:30 pm same day. Mike was very friendly, professional, and did his work with a sense of urgency, and even took the time to go over the different options we had before we commenced service. When we got to the root of the problem, he explained the issues and our options thoroughly, really taking the time to make sure I had a solid idea of what to expect moving forward and what to do in the meantime. He was excellent and, though our problem was more extensive than could be resolved in the immediate term, we were able to put together a plan to get our situation taken care of.

Karl and his associate were patient and worked with the time I could have them start to install my new water heater. He supplied a Navien for a good price. They worked hard and did a good job. Karl S. is very knowledgable and thorough. He pointed out that our gas meter did not bring in the right amount of BTUs (we got 175 and should have been getting a least 250) and that the gas company should be suppling us with a new one. In addition, he noted that the shut off valve wasn't working properly and that was a safety issue. I reported the safety issue to Nicor and we got a new meter. He was patient and helpful while the new meter was installed. He also tested the new meter after it was installed and noted that the regulator was faulty. I am currently working on having Nicor replace that too. I would recommend using this company to install new appliances.
