I hired Jesse and his company for a project in my home, but unfortunately, the experience was far from what I expected. From the very beginning, several key items were omitted from the scope of work, and I had to remind Jesse about these multiple times before they were addressed. The communication was lacking throughout the project—after the job started, I rarely heard from him, and updates were few and far between. One major issue was with the one-year warranty that was promised. When I reached out for help with a problem, Jesse refused to honor it, stating that “some work is covered under warranty, and other work is not.” This left me feeling like my concerns were being ignored. Things didn’t improve from there. When I asked Jesse to dispose of a discarded quartz countertop and several cabinets, he got visibly upset. While he did break down and dispose of the countertop, he removed the cabinets from the dumpster and placed them and other pieces of garbage next to it. This was frustrating, especially since he had agreed to handle it and was discussed before the project started. There were also multiple instances of poor professionalism. For example, when the roofing subcontractor (Advantex Restoration) was supposed to speak with me, I was given a text five minutes before the call was set to happen. Additionally, while work was being done, he setup saw table right in front of a shelf filled with items in the garage that were covered in dust, despite the contract stating that a covering would be used to protect surfaces. In terms of quality, the work was subpar. The insulation installed between the shared wall with the garage and the living space was done incorrectly—facing the wrong way—and Jesse refused to rework it. In the bathroom, Cody and another worker were unprofessional, throwing their jackets and materials onto countertops and the shower curtain, which hadn’t been properly protected. They didn’t clean up well either; I found garbage and debris hidden under a plywood sheet in the garage, and heavy dust covered the floor and existing shelving. I had to ask several times for Jesse to address these issues. To make matters worse, Jesse had reused old wood from the garage to complete an extension of a wall plate. This was just one example of the unworkmanlike quality of the job. A contractor I brought in to inspect the work noted that the job was “sloppily done” and “not in line with how a first pass should look like,” with the joint and compounding work in the garage. Throughout the project, I was left in the dark. Jesse didn't ask for feedback or provide status updates on the work being done. When it came time to discuss issues, any objection or request for revisions was met with rudeness. Jesse aggressively demanded payment, even when the work wasn't finished or up to standard, and expected immediate payment regardless of the issues. The contract also raised red flags. While there was a client satisfaction clause, the payment terms were aggressive and unreasonable, with a contradiction between payment expectations and the lien waiver clause. On top of that, I had to ask multiple times for Jesse to update the contract to reflect the warranty coverage, especially after he initially wrote that no warranty work would be provided by either CHC or the roofing subcontractor. There were also issues with the electrical work. In one bathroom, the team didn’t outline the need to punch a hole through the drywall to run conduit. When I asked Jesse to fix and repaint the hole, he refused, claiming it was outside the scope of work. Despite having the team come back to address a few issues in the garage, Jesse never fixed the insulation problem or the drywall in the bathroom, leaving me frustrated with the overall experience. In the end, I believe that Jesse and his crew are inexperienced, and it shows in their lack of professionalism, poor communication, and unworkmanlike quality of work. Unfortunately, this project did not meet my expectations, and I cannot recommend Jesse or Complete Home Contracting.

They were on time and did excellent work. They took the time to protect my plants and flowers from damage. they did a few minor repairs to the deck, even though that was not part of this project.
