Transmission was shot. Got a reman done at Clark's for a very reasonable price. He was pretty quick about it and the results have been fantastic. Highly recommend for any transmission issues. He took the time to tear it down, find out what the issues were, and show me everything. Hard to find this kind of knowledge and customer service from a transmission shop.

I was preparing for a long vacation in July and I had an event where it seemed like my transmission slipped out of gear for a second. Needless to say, a transmission problem just before my trip was a huge concern. I checked on Angie's List and saw that Clark's Transmission was highly rated. I called and talked to Dave and he had me bring it in the next day for him to review it. Time was critical because it was just a few days before the trip. I took it in and he reviewed my previous repair records and did some research on the computer about my transmission and asked a lot of questions. He then hooked up his diagnostic computer up to the car and read the codes. He found no transmission code issues but then he reviewed all of the engine codes as well. Come to find out that it did have a code pending that happened exactly the time that I had the issue. Instead of being a transmission problem, it was a cylinder misfire that caused the issue. It only happened once. He also checked the transmission fluid and pronounced it in great shape.
So instead of paying hundreds of dollars for repairs that weren't needed, he spent about an hour with me and didn't charge me a thing. I really wish I would have known about Clark's Transmission sooner - when I had troubles with the transmission in my other vehicle.
I would take my vehicles to Clark's Transmission for any transmission work I have in the future and will recommend him to my friends. Dave was great to work with, very informative, honest, and knowledgeable.

They were able to get my Mercedes right in and change the transmission fluid and filter. They also alerted me to a fuel leak that I didn't know I had. Fair price and excellent service.

Called the shop. Brent was awesome at listening to me describe where the oil was leaking from and offered what he thought the issue was. Told me up front a 'ball park' cost for leaking seals was $100 per leak. I dropped the vehicle off in the following morning and had it done, complete with the drive-line rebalance, by mid afternoon. total out the door cost was $190. tr

I had a problem with the transmission in my truck shifting poorly. On the recommendation of a friend I took it to Clark's for a diagnosis. They made some adjustments that improved the problem, but it did not go away. A second trip for some additional adjustments helped, but the problem still existed. They did not open the transmission so, to be fair, they could not see what the real problem was. However, I did take it to the dealer a few weeks later and they, with the help of their diagnostice computer, were able to pinpoint the primary issue. Clark's disagreed with the diagnosis, but I wound up taking it back to the dealer for the repairs. As it turned out, the transmission needed a full rebuild.
Ultimately, the price for the rebuild from the dealer was competitive with Clark's.
I would go back to Clark's for minor adjustments and routine service on US made vehicles.

Based on an Angie's List recommendation I contacted Clark's. They were responsive, told me what the problem might be, gave me a date they could start, a finish date and an approximate cost. During the repair, they called to inform me what they found and what the exact cost would be. They had if finished right on time. I really liked that their focus was to fix it and not replace it for $3,000. Excellent company with great knowledge and customer service.

Had 2 estimates from chain type operations, both $2600, because of the type and year of the transmission. their plan was to rebuild it all and it would be fixed , true ..... would of worked . Clarks called back the next day and told me of the scenarios that would be causing the problems of not going into gear and not shifting , ranging in price from $350.00 to $2600. Kept me informed of the findings with good communication explaining them so even with limited knowledge i could understand . Took the time to narrow it down to the 2 possible components and replaced them both. had my car 2 1/2 days. Can not even tell when it shifts now , quieter then when it was new from the factory . piled family into the car to check it out and romped on it , we struggled to feel it shift , we could sense it but the old school auto transmissions way of the engine rev , pause , rev as it shifted was virtually inaudible . We have a 94 newyorker with 109,000. not much else to say , Some one who knows how to problem solve and fix what is actually broke . finally cost $675 and some change .

Clark did a good job and we never had any issues. I found Clark after asking many people who to take my car to; everyone suggested Clark. I was very satisfied.

While driving in Boise the vehicle started loseing speed. We nursed it to Meridean, where we had to call for a tow.We had a half hour wait for tow, we followed tow truch to Clark's location. I had the owner-tedh call me after he could look at it. He called me that afternoon and informed me as to the estimated problems, he recomended a complete rebuild. dHe gave me the above estimate, which I approved. He told me that it would be two or three days. He finished in a little over two days.
