Last week I went into their location to look for plants for our new home we had just purchased in McCall, Idaho (90 miles away). I dealt with an employee named Marie who we have done business with before. As I was simply researching potential shrubs and plants for our landscaping, I identified some and told Marie that my wife would stop in next week (today) to check out what I had thought would be best for our needs. Marie told us that the shrubs and plants where going on sale in a "couple of weeks at 30% off" but that she would honor that price for us. My wife even called Saturday (9/7/13) to ask Marie to hold several Hydrangea's for her and told her she would be picking them up on Tuesday. When my wife went in Marie helped her load the shrubs and several plants that my wife had also picked out and then left for the day. My wife than called me to ask me what other plants I had looked at. I told her she was a better judge than I ever could be and asked her to pick up 10 bags of mulch for me before she left. When she went in to pay the lady charged her full price and when my wife told her that Marie had mentioned the discount she responded by saying "Marie would never do that" in a very condescending way. My wife, who happens to be an administrator at a local health system was greatly offended and stated that she felt like we were trying to "scam" them. She walked out and called me extremely angry, stating she will never shop there again. More importantly he organization will never shop there again either (be careful who you p*** off). Not only have we spent thousands of dollars there over the last few years, but her organization has spent tens of thousands. Bottom line is this - they have lost both personal and professional clients
