Description of Work: One of the roller cones on a very long duette blind had failed. Costco no longer carries the brand, Hunter Douglas. I found a couple of repair places but couldn't get to me for a long time (2 months?). Unique Blinds came over the next day, repaired the blind over night and returned it repaired the next day. Very accomodating re: schedule; very professional; personable and reasonably priced.

Description of Work: We had several blinds installed. Unique Blinds came out, removed the old ones, installed the new ones, and disposed of the old ones for less than we would have paid to just buy the blinds from an on-line retailer. They did a great job at a great price!

Description of Work: We ordered cellular shades or blinds for most of the rooms in our new home. There was no pressure. He left the sample books so we could take our time making choices. He measured and hung all the shades and cleaned up after himself. We were pleased with the results.

+ 0 moreMy blinds are made by Bali and the up/down honeycomb design. I bought the blinds 7 years ago and had never had them professionally cleaned. I cared for them according to the manufacturer's recommendation minus the professional cleaning. I found Unique Blinds on Angie's list and thought I'd give them a try. I am so glad I did! I scheduled my appointment for pickup with Phil. He arrived exactly when he said he would. He was friendly and cheery. He even brought a towel to wipe his shoes to make sure he didn't track dirt into my living room. He explained the process of how the blinds would be cleaned and gave me an approximate time of return in the afternoon. He returned on time, re-installed the blinds and my blinds look fantastic! The broken cord was replaced and the blind functions as it should. I am very pleased with his service and price! His cord repair was almost half of everyone else I contacted. I would highly recommend Phil and Unique Blinds. He also sells and installs blinds. I know where I will be getting my new blinds from for my next house.

+ -1 morePhil was great. He was very responsive, always arrived on time, and gave helpful suggestions. He went back to the manufacturer for larger samples of my "finalist" choices, which was great. He did a great job of hanging the blinds and even touched up the paint where my temporary paper blinds from Home Depot pulled paint off when they were removed. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: I just bought a new construction house that had no window coverings, so Phil provided coverings for all of my windows and my sliding glass door.

+ -1 moreFirst of all, he actually answered the phone with a friendly voice and questioned me about what I wanted done. He gave me a very good impression just during the telephone call. We agreed to a day and time without a huge delay. He arrived on time, dressed professionally and went right to work. He looked at the enclosed instructions and gathered some tools and went right to work. He questioned me about my preferences in the installation, made some good suggestions and proceeded to do installation. I wish I had needed more of his services, because he was pleasant, efficient, and very reasonable. I would always recommend Unique Blinds to anyone who needed installation, repair, or cleaning of their window coverings.
Description of Work: Phil installed an 11 foot long sun shade for the rear of our patio that I purchased from Costco.

+ 0 moreUnique Blinds called to set an appointment to remove blinds. clean them, repaired a few (okay quite a few broken parts) - he even tracked down some parts that were not easily available over a holiday weekend! They were on time for the appointment. Completely upfront about the cost and time required to do it correctly. They are the nicest human beings ever :) so polite and professional - couldn't recommend them enough.

He is positive and cheerful - just the sort of person that is welcome in my home. I would not hesitate to recommend Unique Blinds. The price is very fair and the work is excellent. I plan on using them again soon when we have a room painted and the blinds need cleaning and refurbishing.
Description of Work: I have 4 blinds, 22 years old, that were not holding evenly when raised and one had a broken cord. Phil, from Unique Blinds, discovered that parts for the mechanisms were no longer available. Instead of telling me that the blinds would have to be replaced, he offered to try and figure out a way to fix them without the required parts. He figured out how to jerry-rig the catch mechanisms so that they work really nicely. He also restrung all 4 blinds. This process saved me a HUGE amount of money because the blinds are in fine condition - they just needed someone smart and creative to figure out how to make them work properly, and Phil did that.

+ 0 moreAfter searching Angie's for a referral and looking in the yellow pages of Dex, I called Unique. They gave me an estimate over the phone for cleaning. Any repair might be extra. That was good. I had 18 mini blinds that were FILTHY. They came and took them down for me, loaded them up and took them away. Did I mention they were FILTHY?? Later the same day they were brought back, re-installed in their proper places and they were sparkling clean! I could not be happier unless they were just plain replaced. Very nice job done. Very nice people to work with and very professional. I recommend to all!
