I left a message and they called back within a reasonable time to discuss the issue. After describing what I thought the problem was, he then walked me through the steps I would need to do if I wanted to do it myself. I was impressed with this since he was trying to help me fix it without him having to come out and charge for a service call. When I told him I was not comfortable doing it myself, he said that was no problem and came out the next day. The problem was fixed quickly.

Noticed my shower had very low water pressure and thought, oh dear, not again. This is the third time a leak has been sprung in my yard due to a busted pipe--seems to have something to do with a sink hole. Went out to look and heard it before I saw it gushing into the sink hole. The experience with my last plumber wasn't good. I'm new to Angie's list and this was my first experience using it. I looked for the nearest plumber and called Epie's Handyman in Tucker. I was a little disappointed when I got voice mail and turned back to the list to find my second choice. Within seconds Epie's called me back, located Dan (the owner) in the field, he called, told me what to do in the meantime and said he'd be here within an hour, which he was. Dan is not only very personable but professional above all. The work was completed efficiently and the price was totally reasonable and the experience was much less trying than the first two episodes. Though it is obvious I will need major repairs to get around the sink hole, I was not in a position to pay for that at the moment (as I am having my roof replaced) and Dan was very understanding and did not try to pressure me. I will definitely call on them again whenever I have the need for handyman services and will wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who is in need.

Dan responded promptly to my request for an estimate on the cost of the work, and the quote he provided seemed reasonable. When I called to schedule the work, he was able to do so within two weeks of the call. He and his crew arrived punctually and immediately set to work. At the end of the first day's work, however, I saw that Dan had made a serious error on the project. He apologized, saying that because so much time had elapsed between the estimate and arriving to do the work, he had confused my project with another job, and he and his crew quickly corrected the error. On the second day of work, I began asking several questions about the job (understandable, considering the error of the previous work day), and Dan became irritated and defensive about this. The rest of the work preceded without incident or problem, and despite a couple of minor issues (two electrical wires that weren't secured and a stud that seemed to warrant a little more nailing), we were fairly satisfied with the job.

He did a great job. He was very helpful. I'd hire him for service again.

Of course, my water line froze and burst on a day when the outside temperature was 11 degrees! And, it was a Friday night. I called several plumbers and none of them could come that night, but would come the next day with a minimum charge that included travel time. I got quotes of up to $600 minimum. I heard an Angie's List ad, and joined to see what the possibilities were with plumbers on their list. Lucky for me! I contacted Epie's Handyman on Saturday morning, got a quote of $175, and had help in the early afternoon. By midafternoon, the pipe was repaired, I was charged as quoted, and had also recommended them to a family in the neighborhood whose pipe broke during my repair. I will call Epie's again for some non-emergency repairs we have been putting off. Thank you so much for a great experience!

They always get back to us. They're very courteous. We feel like he's being honest with us and not taking us for a ride like a lot of other people. Their price is not a bargain, but they're competitive with other handymen in the area.

Fabulous! We were thrilled with Dan and his team's work and professionalism. We recently contacted him for new work, but was disappointed to know that he can no longer services our area. He is a diamond in the rough out there in the big world.

All three men were extremely professional and courteous. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Overall the job was great. Dan came out very promptly (the day I called), and quickly fixed the leak. He came back a couple days later (making sure the leak was indeed sealed) to do the drywall patch. He finished up the next day by sanding and painting. He and his colleague were very professional and cleaned up after themselves (he even cleaned up the mess I made looking at the leak in the first place). The only small negative I have was that the sanding work was a little rough, and I needed to go back and touch it up a bit. Overall though, I definitely would use them again.

Very good. Had to come back twice to replace and adjust the first replacement fan that turned out to be effective. This work was included in the original price.

He is really good. He prices by the job and not the hour. If he is not able to do the work himself, he has excellent referrals.

We actually had a lot of other jobs we wanted done, and presented them to Dan Doster in order of our priority...he decided on his own to do the electrical work first, even though that was a lower priority for us. The rewiring and light installation went okay, but his men left several holes in our walls either around the replaced outlets/switches or on the other side of the wall where they pulled the wiring. Also, they removed a medicine cabinet in the bathroom to install a new light, and just left the hole there. We had a new cabinet to put up, but were not told ahead of time that they wouldn't be installing it. When we called Dan about the holes, he came personally to patch them, but showed up 3 hours later than his estimated time, and the patches are clearly a hurry-up job. All in all, though I'm sure the electrical work is fine, I'm not thrilled about the incidentals.

He was very professional starting with the prompt return call to set up an appointment. He was punctual, and he completed the job in less than an hour after identifying the electrical circuitry. That was the big challenge in the job because other kitchen lights and outlets were connected to the same circuit. His price was fair, and the overall experience was handled pleasantly and professionally.

He was knowledgeable and able to diagnose most of the problems over the phone. They came out to make sure if that is what they thought it was. I called the office and was able to put our name on the list. They did have a cancellation and worked us in their schedule. He was very professional. I even got a refrigerator magnet. They are concerned about their customers.

My experience with this company was very good and I have already referred them to friends.

I called this company on a Sunday and was impressed when I heard back from him that day on my voice mail. He stated that he would like to come to my house on Monday night, the next day. I called back and got his voice mail again, and told him that about 6:30pm on Monday night would work for me, and asked him to let me know if that would work for him. I did not hear back from him all day Monday until after 6:30 pm, when his wife called and left a message saying that he could not come. He also called an hour or two later to say that he could not come because he was working another job. He should have called me sometime during the day to confirm or dis-confirm his arrival time, not waited until after 6:30pm to tell me he could not come. His wife did call again the next day saying that they were going on a week's vacation in 2 days, and that they would not be able to perform any work until they returned.

I liked everything about them. They contacted me when they said they would. They did the job when they said they would. I was very pleased with their services. I plan on using them again in the future.

Everything went really well. Mr. Doster responded immediately to the message I left him, gave me some very reasonable quotes over the phone and was able to fit us in that morning. When I wasn't able to buy the tub and shower fixtures as planned before he arrived he came anyway to assess the situation. He confirmed the tub and shower fixtures needed replacing (they were the original) and said he could come back after another job later that day. After leaving that morning he went the extra mile and called around to find a store that had the fixtures I was looking for and put them on hold for me. He came back at the appointed time and went to work only to discover there was concrete blocking his way - removing enough concrete to finish the job likely added another hour or more to his work. This meant Mr. Doster ended up working well past his normal ending time of 6pm. When he left we had beautifully installed tub and shower fixtures with no damage whatsoever to the original tile. Best of all he didn't charge us extra for the added time and work he had to do. He said he always stands by his original quote - and he does! We felt Mr. Doster did a great job at a great price and that we got a lot of value out of the work he did for us. We will definitely be calling Mr. Doster for future handyman jobs!

Initially Dan came over to repair some leaking pipes in the basement area which also involved replacing most of the drop ceiling in that area. Then, he repaired & replaced rotting wood around windows in the sun room & around a dormer window at the front of the house. He also had to replace wood on the inside of the window & replace the dry wall beneath the window. He also installed a hanging front porch light, a digital HVAC thermostat & a ground fault interrupt outlet in the upstairs bathroom. He explains everything he does, is very personable and works quickly. He did a fantastic job & I will definitely be calling him again when I need additional handyman work.

The items indicated in "Description of Work" need installing. I contacted Mr. Doster via email, explained what I wanted done. He emailed me back with a price. He called and set up an appointment. He arrived and went right to work. He did not stop until the work was completed. He was very professional and did a highly professional job. After completion of the job, one would never know he had been here, except for the newly installed items. Mr. Doster had been here before to install an item that secures the power line to the house, however, we did not make a report. My mistake. We plan to have so work in the plumbing field done in the very near future. We will ask Mr. Doster to do this job. He is the best.
