I wanted to purchase a Big Deal to cover the cost of a shower kit installation. Before I purchased the Deal, I called the company to find out if the Deal I was going to purchase would cover the work I wanted done. I was told that it would and purchased the voucher, but when the plumber came out I was told it would be an additional $50.00 to complete the job. The company manager disputed that I had been told the voucher would cover the work. Angie's List refunded the cost of the voucher.

I noticed an outdoor drain pipe was leaking water and apparently had been doing so for a number of days. I called for a service call and a repairman arrived within an hour of calling. Very prompt service. A quick diagnosis was made. The repairman had all necessary parts and tools to complete the service at that time. I inquired about having additional work done at the time and the repairman was able to do so instead of coming back at a later time. Work performed was to my satisfaction. Fair, Dependable, and Professional.

On 11/12/12, I was informed by the tenant of a house that I rent out, that there was a gas leak problem. They contacted Atlanta Gas Company to come out & see what the problem may be. The brief description that Atlanta Gas Company was way off base. Jim & Chris of Allgood Plumbing came out to check the gas leak. The problem wasn't anything close to what the Atlanta Gas Company had said. Jim & Chris did a thorough inspection and found that the only thing wrong was that a bolt had come loose. All they had to do was tighten the bolt. After doing multiple tests to make sure that the problem had been solved, there were no more leaks. Chris & Jim were very professional, punctual and responded quicklly to fix the leak. They also took the time to show me how to turn the gas back on since the tenants were out of town for a few weeks. They also gave me $100.00 off the bill because I am an Angie's List member. If they had not diagnosed the problem themselves, I would've had to pay over $300.00 to fix what the Atlanta Gas Company said the problem was. I only wound up paying $89.00 to fix the leak. There is no doubt that if I run into any plumbing or gas leak problems in the future, I will definitely use Allgood Plumbing again. I'm sorry I can't remember her name but the lady that works in the office was very polite and scheduled them to come out when I wanted them to. Jim & Chris solved the problem almost immediately and even though it was almost 7:30 p.m., they had another job to go to. I wish there were more companies like Allgood Plumbing that are honest and punctual and don't try to charge more than what they should. Again, thank you Chris & Jim for doing such a great job and saving me money, also.

I was very pleased with the overall work and would not hesitate to call them for any future repairs.

Our neighbors noticed water coming out of a pipe on the outside of our home. When we checked on the rental property, there was water bubbling up out of the ground around the pipe and it was it was warm. We tried contacting tow other plumbers that day. One could not fit us in that day and the other never returned the phone call. I then found Allgood and they were able to have someone out between 2 and 6. Richard was very professional and polite. He provided us with 3 quotes for the work involved to 1) make the repair 2) make the repair with an expansion tank and 3) replace the entire water heater. We went with option 1 which was $214, but we were able to use the deal they were offering on Angie's List which was a $200 service for $119. The water did need to run for more than 30 minutes to flush the pipes, but other than that we are satisfied. We will definitely call Allgood and Richard when it's time to replace the water heater.

The hot water in my condo that I rent out stopped working. James Nuckles inspected my water heater and could immediately see that I needed a replacement. He showed me where the leak was and explained that the age of my water heater is in the range where it would be expected to die. He said the leak is what caused the pilot light to go out and explained how the leak can happen out of the top of the water heater (news to me). He quoted me a price up front and that is exactly what I ended up paying. I do not live at the condo so James gave me an estimate on when the job would be done and I was able to go back to work while he did the replacement. Once the job was complete I met him back at the condo. He showed me the new water heater and explained the expansion tank that was also installed. James was very professional and polite. I would use Allgood again.

Service tech Ken showed up on time and was very professional. I showed him the problems and he gave me an estimate. I told him to perform the work and he took care of everything rather quickly. He actually lowered the price because it did not take as long as expected. The price still seems a little high, but apparently no plumber is cheap. I was satisfied with everything and I have not had any problems since.

I called Allgood in the morning and I was able to select a time for the service that same day. I selected the 2 - 6 window and was told I would get a call when the plumber was on the way. I got a call at 1:30 and the plumber was at my house before 2:00. I also received an email with a picture of the plumber so I would know him when I saw him! Kim Bennett was courteous and professional. When I described the problem, he was able to give me a quote of what the repairs would cost. I was able to use a coupon from Angie's list which reduced the cost. Ken replaced the hoses, removed the water filter and even tightened a few fixtures that he saw were loose. He was in and out in 30 minutes. It was a fantastic experience and I will definitely call Allgood for all of my plumbing needs in the future. Oh yea, and I received a follow-up call from the office checking to be sure that I was happy with the work! Awesome!

I had gotten a few estimates of between $300 and $350. A friend told me about the coupons some businesses provide on Angie's List so I paid $21 to join, and happened to find a plumber offering a $149 special for faucet installation-saved 50% off of the other estimates!! The service rep showed up on time, promptly got to work and finished the job quickly. It was a great experience and I would use these guys again with no hesitation. It's great to be able to trust a service provider and even better saving money!!

We were completely satisfied with services performed. We had a busted cast iron sewer line. The problem was diagnosed by a service tech with Allgood Plumbing. We felt the price was a little high for the diagnostic and after management reviewed the bill they refunded us the difference will use this company again for additional work I need done in the house.

Worst plumbing experience ever, do NOT EVER CALL these shysters, do not pay anything in advance to get a "discount". They come out to house, give you an estimate for a job, I was told job would be 4 hours approximately and that is how they priced. I said seemed high, said would discount if takes a lot less time than 4 hours. Job took 30 mins, asked for discount, said could not discount since it was a standard two hour job in their manual and the price per hour is $325. Called head office, said no one ever quotes per hour so I must be mistaken. Dec17, 2012: I left several messages to speak with a service manager to raise complaints and concerns. The secretary receiving calls never placed me through to the service manager, and I was never called back by this company to discuss concerns. I was told by secretary that the service manager would call back, but it never happened. Factually in accurate to report that I talked to service manager. Comments from company are also deceptive with report "remove a thermostatic mixing valve". Sure, that was the job - but it could also be expressed more honestly as cut and resolder one single copper pipe. I have many positive reviews on this site for jobs well done. And then every once and awhile yout come across a company run by liars and cheats.

Called in advance, showed up on time, fixed the issue

I had a clogged toilet and since it was on the same drain pipe as my clothes washer, it overflowed whenever the washer went into spin cycle. I called in the morning and by lunch on the same day, the plumber arrived. When he first arrived, he flushed the toilet and it worked. As a precaution he snaked the drain. Since the plumber finished so quickly, I thought the price might have been high (I don't really know). But with service that quick it was worth it. I highly recommend Allgood plumbing

I called over the weekend and scheduled a non-emergency appointment. I secured an appointment for Monday between 8-10 AM. The time window came and went and by 10:15 I called Allgood to check the status. There was an error in the scheduling and I was not on the list. He was very apologetic and was able to get me back on the schedule and a plumber was at our house in under two hours. I still gave an "A" for punctuality and responsiveness because they were very sincere and were able to fit us into their schedule immediately.

Super. Pleased with promptness, courtesy, & professionalism. Two visits to solve problem - both Dito & Bronson were fellows I'd have back any time. We'll use them again.

This was an incredibly positive and easy experience. They came out right away to estimate the job and spent a good deal of time surveying the site to be certain they could do a great job. They came for the installation at my convenience and very quickly. They installed the tankless water heater in a short amount of time and left the area clean and spotless. I had one small problem with the water to the refrigerator not working and they said they would come out right away to fix it. It came back on shortly after my call but when I called to cancel they insisted on coming out to check it and make sure the pressure was perfect .. at no charge. I would highly recommend them. Perfect in every way.

Overall experience was positive. Their price is a little higher than others but their professionalism is tops. This is the second time we used Allgood Plumbing.

The service technician arrived on time and explained tom how the company works which involved my being in control. He was professional and courteous. the Job was completed with in the time limits. I will use them again.

It did not go at all! They never came and I wasted a day

A real joy to have such a job done so well and by a wonderfully personable professional. Richard really knows the plumbing business, worked hard and kept me informed as to what was going on, even with the financial aspect. Will definitely use this company again. Allgood Plumbing's listing information is a sham. They say in their Angie's List listing that their normal service hours are 7:00 AM to 8:00PM. They state that there are no extra charges for after-hours service or travel charges. I called them at 5:20 PM on a Wednesday afternoon re: the pilot light on a hot water heater . I was told that since it was after 5:00 PM, it would be considered "after hours" and there would be a substantially higher charge just to walk in the door. When I raised the issue of what they claimed in their Angie's List ad, I was told, "Sorry. If it's after five o'clock (even by only 20 minutes), it's after hours and there's an extra charge," regardless of what they advertised. When the technician was consulted, he said it would be a minimum of $135, just for the service call (as opposed to $89.95 during 'normal' hours), plus whatever the cost of the actual service might be. Can you say "bait and switch?" Needless to say, if they lie in their ad and/or aren't willing to honor their own posting, they CANNOT be trusted and I WILL NOT call them again.
