Amazon Cleaning LLC

We have used Amazon cleaning for about 2 years now and I highly recommend them for the following reasons: 1. They are reasonably priced! We have them come every two weeks, but they will do weekly, monthly or other random times. They also offer "deep" or extra scheduled cleans on as-needed basis. 2. They are very responsive. E-mails and calls are always returned promptly (usually within an hour). They seem to be very organized from a management perspective. 3. They do a good job. They are thorough, and they use green products which I really appreciate. I don't think anyone has broken anything in the entire two years they've cleaned for us. They also have periodic quality control checks where management comes out as the crew finishes for a walk through. 4. They have a consistent crew - in the two years that we've been customers, we have had exactly two 2-person crews with only occasional subs. This makes it easy for us to get to know our crew and it means that their staff stay with them - which means the staff are not unhappy with their employer. It was really important for me to find a company that treats their staff well and I think they do.

To start with, this company was fine. I'd used them in the past, and had cancelled them when I moved. When I went looking for another service again, I called them, they came out, gave a quote, and no worries. The first 6 months or so were fine. We had a few kerfuffles -- remember to mention if you want them to clean on a weekend on a regular basis, or they will end up sending a second team -- but that's fine. And, honestly, the fact that the second team, and subsequent teams, spoke English barely (if at all) wasn't a problem; I was mostly telling them the few times I worked at home "Go ahead, just tell me when you want me to get out of the way." But somewhere about 2-3 months before I fired them, I ended up working from home, and found that not a team, but a single person arrived. OK, no worries -- if they can get the job done, it's not an issue. Then afterwards, the floor was not clean; things like floor mats were left on chairs, stuff just wasn't clean -- and it was taking hours. This is a 2 bedroom condo with one guy living in it -- it's not perfect, but after 4 1/2 hours of cleaning, I was just stunned. I'm sure that everyone was well meaning; but let's face it, the job wasn't getting done, and certainly not to the specifications of the contract, which was 2 person crews, one speaking English, professional, etc. Amazon attempted to make this up to me, and I appreciate it; the company and the worker are not necessarily the same. But honestly, if they promise 2 people, and send just one --repeatedly -- and they promise English speaking cleaners, they should provide them. Most importantly, though: the place should be clean afterwards, and it was not getting clean.

**UPDATE** My husband just had to terminate service with this company. The cleaning was generally great and we liked the crews if we crossed paths, so I don't have an issue there. Little things have happened over the many months, none of which were deal breakers to us at all. Examples: Coming WAY late one day (like not long before they were to be done), which was a huge inconvenience, and not giving me a phone call heads up; arriving a day they weren't to clean and setting the alarm off incurring a later charge with our alarm company; some inconsistencies--fresh towels we put out were just left there, glass door not wiped down at all, shower drain not cleaned. Then there was the time they damaged a nightstand. Also, if something goes wrong, they will offer you a free oven cleaning or fridge cleaning. We didn't feel this was adequate the day they came late without warning and damaged our nightstand (same day). NONE of these are huge in and of themselves, and we are pretty easy going. But my husband tried to call and get clarity about why we didn't seem to get all 48 hour reminders, and then bring a couple of other things up (such as what I just mentioned) and was spoken to VERY rudely and in an condescending and aggressive manner by someone who turned out to be the owner, named on this page. I immediately realized I'd spoken to Jerry before too because I remembered thinking "Man, this person won't let me answer their question without interrupting me." And that was about non-complaints, for the most part. Wow. Can you say awful customer service? I need you to know my husband is a mind mannered, soft spoken Southerner. He's a gentleman. He even wanted to call back and smooth things over and I convinced him not to. To hear my husband get increasingly frustrated by being cut off, when he just called to inquire about a few things, not even complain about anything, per se, and then finally give up and just fire a company, was a shock to me. In other words, I just knew the person he was speaking with had to have been belligerent for that to happen. My husband works with people with Alzheimer's who routinely cuss him out, so he can take a lot. No one should be treated like that by a hired service. Anyhow, I'm sad to do it, but I have to update this review so that someone doesn't hire this company based on my review and then have a bad experience. I hired this company due to Angieslist, after all. Funny thing, on Yelp there are a ton of reviews where people had experiences similar to ours: company good and "on top of it" at first, then some inconsistencies here and there, then a final showdown with the owner. So it's not just us. Not sure I'll use Angieslist to choose the next one. This service is rated so highly and this still happened. Bummer. Please note that any low scores are much more a reflection of the conversations we've had with the owner, not a reflection of the actual cleaning crews themselves, other than the occasional cleaning deficiencies, which, to us, were not a big deal. [Old review below] I was using an individual to clean my home once every other week. Not only was that not enough with both me and my husband working full-time, but we have an infant, so housecleaning was difficult to get to--at least the deep stuff--and it was cutting into precious family time when it did happen. Worse, the person we were using would often cancel and then not be able to reschedule, so once every other week would become once per month. I decided to try a service instead and Amazon's stellar Angieslist rating made me start there. I called 2 services and Amazon got back to me immediately, the other has yet to get back to me and it's been 2 weeks. They were professional and clear on the phone. When they came out to do the actual estimate, it was in line with the guestimate they gave on the phone. They were able to send out a team right away for the initial deep cleaning. I really liked our team, so I was glad they were the team assigned to us to do weekly cleanings too. So far I've only had one of the weekly cleanings in addition to the deep cleaning, but I've been super impressed. Beyond the terrific and thorough job they do, which was way more than what my last person did, the company will work with you on preferred day of week and time of day. That has also been wonderful because the person we were using would start at 4p, so we'd be coming home from work and feel awkward as we tried to find places to get out of her way, plus we couldn't start dinner or put the baby down for a nap. Amazon is also receptive at this early stage when we and our cleaning team are working out preferences of how we'd like things done and such. And I am happy that they will use eco friendly/less toxic cleaning products if requested. I was big on that before, but I am even more so now that I have a baby who will be crawling soon. While hiring a service, especially a high end one like Amazon, is more expensive, I'd say that with this company at least, I'm definitely receiving a higher level of service than I was getting before--one that exceeds the actual dollars spent. I'm so glad I called and I'll give up other things in life if I have to to be able to keep using Amazon if they keep this level of service up because I'm getting more time to do other important things now. Thank you!

I have them on a every other Wednesday schedule. They dust and wipe everything in the house, mop the floors, and clean all the bathrooms. They also wash the dishes. They have the same crew that comes to your house to clean. They talk to you, they don't just clean; they do their job but they also want to know if there is anything in particular that you want them to do. So they always ask you if there is anything they missed. I think their professionalism is very good.

I've been working with Amazon for many years now. I like the organization because they are honest and do things fairly. I can always reach them on the phone and they are available quickly for last minute assignments. I recently had them come and do a deep cleaning in my home and their $200 fee was more than fair for the service they provided. The quality is always excellent!

We turned to Amazon Cleaning for weekly housecleaning over a year ago and are very content with the services received. The crew speaks English and has remained by and large the same, which helps with getting the job done well and reliably. Our house is spotless every week and if we ever have a special request or comment, the team and management take it seriously and respond in person the same or next day, including on weekends. I highly recommend this company to anybody who is looking for consistent, personalized quality housecleaning.

From the beginning with the owner giving an onsite estimate, the service provided by Amazon Cleaning has been excellent. In the year plus that we have used the service, we have had excellent service. They arrive on time, work quickly and quietly. and check if we have any complaints at the end. Randomly, supervisory personnel will check their work. There is flexibility in their scheduling to meet our needs.

Amazon Cleaning is very reliable and punctual. They have done an excellent job each time they have cleaned my house. The company also is very committed to following up with customers to ensure that they are happy. They are very responsive to requests and interested in your feedback.

The experience was subpar. The cleaners did a good job of dusting and cleaning the baseboards and window/fans. However, after closer inspection the top of the cabinets were not cleaned. Most cabinets and drawers were not cleaned well as they had some type of residue remaining upon closer inspection. The granite counter tops in the kitchen were not cleaned well. They had a sticky residue in many places. After asking the cleaners to clean the granite counters again, they did a light wipe which did not resolve the issue. The oven was not cleaned as food was visible inside. The showers and bathroom floors did not appear to have been cleaned well. Resolving these issues seemed to be a challenge at the time since the cleaners could not speak English. Overall, I was not satisfied with having someone in my home that was unable to communicate with me. Also, I think for the price a much better cleaning job should have been conducted.

Excellent Exceeded Expectations

Had them clean our house approximately 5 times and overall were happy w the cleaning and planned to continue using them UNTIL we made a request that the team be more careful with the cleaner they used on the kitchen sink because the over spray had caused some haze/discoloration on the granite around the faucet that I had to clean off. Their response was an email saying they could no longer clean our house because their insurance doesn't allow them to come back once a complaint was made. We never suggested making any complaint only asking them to be more careful so I didn't have to buff the film off the counter each time they left. What a shame the management overreacted and behaved so strange over a basic, polite request...the ladies they sent out were nice and tried to do a good job cleaning. From reading other reviews seems like the miscommunication/overreacting is the only real flaw w the business...not sure how to rate them overall considering I would use them again if they went to a different person handling the business end...but oh yea I forgot, technically they fired me...lol

From start to finish, they were very professional and thorough. I wasn't walking behind them watching them work, but when I would walk into a room, I would see them dusting everything on my shelves. They didn't dust around stuff. They moved it, dusted where it was, dusted the object, and then put it back. Bathrooms were scrubbed and floors cleaned. They even interacted with my boys and said hello to them. I felt very comfortable with them in my home.

Hired Amazon Cleaning for a Move-In Clean (no furniture, newly renovated with new paint/floors). I was initially impressed with the cleaning checklist they direct you to before you hire them, however the people cleaning aren't quite familiar with that list. SEE BELOW Deep cleaning of all bathroom areas, including hard to reach areas and tile - I had to point out areas of the shower that still needed cleaning Kitchen cleaning including inside of microwave and outside of cabinets -Didn't clean under the microwave/above the stove (lots of old grease etc from previous owners) Clean inside of the oven and refrigerator - done very well Clean inside of all cabinets and drawers - not hardly done at all All baseboards will be deep cleaned with damp cloth - wasn't necessary, freshly painted All blinds will be deep cleaned with damp cloth - only 2 sets of blinds were hanging, and i was told they don't clean them All floors will be vacuumed and mopped with appropriate house cleaning agents - done very well 16 Foot Extention used to clean high to reach areas like ceiling fans and cobwebs - Ceiling fans looked wiped down, no cowebs (new paint) Any door with glass, the glass and doorway are always cleaned - n/a Clean vent fronts and switchplates - n/a, was already done by CleanAir Pros Remove cobwebsInside of all window sills Clean Laundry Room including machine surfaces and floor area - n/a - empty room Clean Interior windows (Add-on)- done very well I realize they are only given a 4 hour timeframe, and only so much can be done, but for a move-in cleaning...I expected at least the kitchen and master bathroom to get special attention (I'd noted that in the initial sign up/quote). I feel like those areas weren't given as much attention because I added on the interior windows, but maybe they promise more than they can handle in 4 hours. I rated them a B because what they DID clean looked very nice, and the 2 people cleaning were also nice.

I LOVE them!!!! Their customer service and responsiveness is amazing. And I am always SO pleased by the work that our assigned team does at my home.

Amazon Cleaning did a phenomenal job. I hired them for a deep cleaning service. During the initial quote they gave me a very detailed description of their cleaning process. The two person cleaning crew showed up on time and worked diligently for four hours straight. My house was spotless once they were done; no soap scum on the showers, no trace of pet hair (I have 1 dog and 2 cats), no sign of dirt anywhere, and every surface was clean. They vacuumed and mopped the entire house leaving the floor like new. I am extremely impressed with the depth of their cleaning and their professionalism. Based on the quality of their cleaning I have hired them on for monthly service. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a through and trustworthy cleaning company.

It was a good service. They try to send in the same crew but all of the crews are pleasant, nice, thorough and accommodating in terms of getting an appropriated schedule date.

They arrived promply as arranged, work methodically and thoroughly though the house, and even stayed past the scheduled time at no extra charge! The house looked and smelled very clean.

Amazon cleaned at our house for the last few months and has done a good job cleaning, we never had an issue. They also changed the beds for us which we were happy with. When they changed the beds they put the sheets on wrong and during the last cleaning we also noticed that the the kitchen appliances needed some more thorough cleanings so we left the cleaners a note to fix thouse 2 minor issues. When we came home that day we still found the same situation so we sent an email to Amazon and learnt that we are to gove instructions to the call center. So we did...They came back yesterday but did not address the 2 minor issues. So I responded via email and mentioned that the communication did nto work. When they returned my email they said they will refund us 15% of the cleaning and this: "...With most respect and professionalism, we did receive a very disturbing report from your crew yesterday. The report is that the dog was very aggressive and barked and snapped in a threatening and potentially dangerous fashion at the crew, they felt threatened and unsafe. The gentlemen of the home was present in the same room and right next to the situation did not remove the dog from the crew and the dog to continue behaving in the aggressive fashion. This in itself is ground for immediate removal of our crew for protection of their emotional and physical safety. We will consider the matter closed but will report it to the authorities if we see any press or attempts to blame us for protecting our crews on social media. We did make an attempt to review agreed upon procedures which were designed to foster respectful communication and deliver results but were unable to obtain a response from your party, hence we will discontinue service with no hard feelings..." My dog barks when people come close or into the house and I understand when people are therefore scared of her. For that reason we put her into the basement on days when the house is being cleaned. I can't follow what is being said above because nobody was at home during the cleaning and the dog was still in the basement when we returned from work. I find it interesting though that the house was impeccably clean despite the "attacks" from our dog the crew was supposedly exposed to. When I asked for a phone call back to get an explanation I received another email with a cease and desist order. Wow! The only "incident" I can think of is about 6 or 8 weeks ago when the cleaners arrived early (they were instructed not to show up before 8:30am because we are still home at that time) and the cleaner entered the house through the garage without asking, put the vacuum inside and left back to the car. My dog barked. I ran down the stairs and put her in the basement right away and told the cleaners they can come in now. If this was a problem for the crew then why did they not tell me or report it then? I find this very strange and wanted to report it to the Angie's list community. It's probably just a mistake but I feel bad that I'm not even given an explanation or being told exactly what happened. I also find it highly suspicious that I'm being threatened not tell this story ("...but will report it to the authorities if we see any press or attempts to blame us for protecting our crews on social media"). I feel bad because we liked them. Oh well, we'll move on and find another cleaner.

It's so wonderful to come home knowing I will be pleased with the results. They even washed the dishes my husband accidentally left in the sink! Very reasonable price. It's the same couple who come each time, they are very trustworthy and honest people.

Amazon was called upon to do an estimate for bi-weekly house cleaning. They arrived at the appointment time, did a walk through the house and explained the optional services professionally. A team of two women have been cleaning a newly, high end finish, remodeled home every other week since February. They are generally prompt and thorough. if anything was missed and pointed out, it was immediately taken care of.

I was hesitant to hire a cleaning service at first and am so glad that I gave it a shot. I thought that I was relatively clean, this place looks so much nicer than what I normally can do myself. My first thought when I walked in was that it smelled absolutely amazing, they cleaned areas and things that I did not even think about (ceiling fans, closet floors). I also had them clean my oven and refrigerator and am so glad that I did not spare the expense (which was in no way unreasonable). The company talked with me over the phone in great detail about their plans for what they would do and carefully explained their timing for the service as well as the expectations I would have. They also insisted on speaking with me before leaving the property to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the service. I will be making this a regular service at my home.

It worked out well; they did a good job. I will bring on monthly to clean.
