Weed Man of Roswell

They came out and left the bag on the door, but unlike True Green I could tell that they had actually done something. The lawn kept improving after they came out. With the True Green they would say that they came out and it didn't look like the lawn had even been treated and left no calling card, but kept billing me until I finally got rid of them. That took some doing. They kept calling me to the point of harassment. Anything is an improvement over that company. When I can tell that they actually did something and the lawn is much better than before, then I know I haven't wasted my money.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. It was good. They were prompt and they did what they said they were going to do. And gave me paperwork if I wanted to get more service. Everything was good. I was very happy with it.

I would totally not use them again. They did the weed application on the day that it rained and when I called over there I said, "You know, it is raining. I see that you guys were here and you did weed application. From my understanding, you are not supposed to do it with the rain." And the guy's response was, "Well, it is not raining where I am at." I went, "I do not think that is where you put an application. It is raining at my house." So then he goes, "Okay. Well, if you do not see any reaction in a couple of weeks, call us back and we will reapply." So, I did that and we really did not see any difference. You should get some yellowing on your weeds and nothing happened. The deal says that they will contact you in a couple of days and nobody contacted us. I was taking the dog out for a walk and I saw the thing in the front lawn. I went, "Hey, I was waiting for you guys to contact to set up a time so I could be here and watch you." And he said, "Oh no, we just went ahead and did it. We just had a bunch of guys in your area." I was like, "Okay. But it is raining." And that was when the guy was like, "Well, it is not raining where I am at." And I was like, "Well, that is great if you are spraying there." That told me a lot about their concern about customer service. I did not get any option to do anything above and beyond. They also never did set any appointment up. They just showed up. I would not recommend them to anybody.

Crab grass controlled.... spread fertilizer day before a bad rain day. Told them to hold off until the rain held off.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. They serviced us one time and then told us they did not service this area. I was not happy with that.

I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

I have received NO communication from this company other than bills and now threats from their attorney to sue me. Regardless of how many times I call them and leave messages or write them they do NOT respond. This is an unacceptable way to do business in my opinion. But if he thinks I will pay for something he didn't do he is sadly mistaken. Sadly, I wonder how many people they bully this way? They have other bad reviews on facebook.

.Initial contact was prompt and informative. Delays in getting responses to my concerns over excessive weeds delayed the overseeding for no good reason. Finally the yard was prepared and overseeded on Oct. 7th. Originally I was told it would be done around 3rd to 4th week of September. No action was taken to kill the weeds. The overseeding appears OK, although we are still waiting for some areas to show up. Small areas that can make the difference between a nice yard and a very nice yard appear to have been missed. They said they would return to fix any problems in about 6 weeks, but repairs require starting the 20 day clock for watering. I can't say I would not use them again, as this is the first time I have used a yard service. I'm OK with them, but not totally satisfied. I want to allow them the chance to show me they will give me a nice yard, but their price may be too high. I was initially surprised to find out they don't have a mowing service.

They were very helpful. It didn't seem to work that well but they said they needed a couple of treatment.

Company did what they were paid to do.

Initially I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for Weed Man. As promised, I was contacted within the next day. After my initial application, I had some questions about what was recommended for my yard. Curtis the office manager was very helpful in answering my questions. Also, since I only needed a small area of my yard treated, Curtis provided a proposal that reflected the area being treated. As a result of my positive experience (which included seeing some of my weeds die very quickly), I have enrolled in their ongoing program. Last week I was surprised with a new option; paperless billing. No more paperwork on my front door after service; Yeah!!

He came out promptly. He sprayed for the weeds and the weeds are gone!!! Great value!

I waited about three weeks and there was no change to my lawn. In fact it seemed that some of the grass in my yard turned yellow, not the weed. I called the company about the grass turning yellow, and asked what they put on it and they never told me. They offered to send one back to check on my lawn. Of course they didn't find anything wrong. I will not ask them to come back.

We purchased a big deal for the service, and it was okay. I haven't seen any difference in my lawn yet. I am happy but don't know for sure because one treatment doesn't do much. They came out and did it, I didn't really have any interaction with them.

11/16/2013 Update: I just read the company response from "Weedman of Roswell". It is puzzling. They continue to contact me informing me that they now DO SERVICE centipede lawns. Hmmm. I guess there is some internal confusion about whether or not they service this "temperamental" grass. Others that are dissatisfied with this vendor get the same confused and conflicting communication I have gotten from them. And Weidman, please don't thank me for my post. It has one objective; to convince others not to use your services as they are not worth paying for. Original Review: The only worse experience I've had was with the "Sandman of Roswell, LLC" who promised to make my fescue lawn as level as Turner Field. That clown simply brought 2 truckloads of river sand (with the included river weed seed) and spread it onto my lawn. Those river weeds germinated BEAUTIFULLY and it was this unfortunate occurrence that fostered my initial contact with the "Weed Man of Roswell". My lawn was serviced by "Weed Man of Roswell" for two full years with ALL their recommended treatments for weed control, fertilization, insect control, soil quality, as well as core and aeration service; (all the basic and over and above treatments). Granted my lawn was not in the best shape when I started but after two years and nearly $3000 I could tell very little difference in the quantity or quality of my lawn turf. I therefore decided to start over with a newly sodded lawn and when I discussed my choice of centipede grass sod, my advisor informed me that they do not recommend or service that type of lawn. They tried to talk me out of this choice but I persisted and inquired what they COULD DO to continue treatment. They replied that they would have to get back with me regarding the disposition of my account. After waiting several weeks to get a response I called for a status but only got the "we don't recommend or service centipede lawns" response. They informed me that they could be of no further service to me. I had the centipede sod installed and it established into a "showcase lawn" that was (and still is) the envy of our small neighborhood. I perform the fertilization and insect control myself with only the recommendations of Pike's sales staff. All during this time, until recently, Weed Man of Roswell repeatedly contacted me by phone to "reestablish our great relationship" only to again decline to service centipede lawns when I informed them that this is the grass type I have. Recently, about two years after my lawn was reestablished the "Weed Man" contacted me again to inform me that they now service centipede lawns. I told them I wouldn't use their service if they GAVE it to me and would tell anyone that asked how unsatisfied I was with their service and customer loyalty.

A good job, and a great price with no sales pressure. Plan to use them in future.

They called the day before coming with information on the type of application. When they ran out of time they managed to come first thing on a Saturday and treat the whole yard in about 20 mins. Some of the weeds did not die from the first application and they came out again for free to touch up.

Rain delays beyond his control

They did exactly what they said they were going to do and my lawn looks better. It was a good experience overall.

They were punctual in response to the big deal. Once it stopped raining they completed the work. The gentalmen who came out could have made contact when they were done. They showed up as we got home from work and did not introduce themselves, snile, shake hands, jsut started walking around my yard. The price was good and the service seemed to help. But no professionalism when I was standing right next to them.

The provider called me to arrange atime and date for the lawn weed treatment. He explained the service and assured me that, in the event of rain, the service would be rescheduled. Weed Man completed the treatment in late August. They have also been in contact with me since that time as a follow up to make sure that I understood what the treatment did and what results to expect, and to suggest additional treatment(s) based on my goals for my lawn. Consequently, I am having them come out and provid a couple of additional services for the remainder of the year. Throughout the whole experience, they were very courteous and went out of their way to make my experience good. I would recommend their services.

Bought special as a gift for neighbor...Weed Man was prompt in service...however, spray had no effect on weeds...homeowner was told that the weeds were dallis grass...after research learned dallis grass is very aggressive and difficult to control...so, I guess I will have to learn to appreciate the possibility of a dallis grass lawn....

Excellent! I was contacted quickly that they had received my purchase request. I asked them to contact me prior to their arrival so that I could unlock the gate to my back yard so they could access. They followed through and did contact me the day before. My yard was treated and I was concerned that this treatment would not be effective due to the rains, but I was reassured in writing that the rain would not interfere in the results. Days later my weeds were dying and my yard looks great. I'm thrilled and recommend Wed Man of Roswell; have already given contact info to a neighbor who noticed that my weeds were gone.

The weeds in the yard started turning brown and dying in the two to three weeks they said it would.

I've been using a well known lawn service for years and tired of spending $800 a year and still having lots of weeds growing in my grass. One application from Weed Man and it took care of the crab grass that's been a constant weed growing. I will definitely use him again.
