Weed Man of Roswell

I have used Weed Man for several years now and am very pleased with their service. They always call me the night before they come and on the few occasions when I've needed them to return, they come right away. I rely on their expertise to analyze the needs of my lawn and communicate to me what's needed, if anything. They've helped me to prevent a brown patch break out by giving me a call to let me know that a fungicide application program was needed. The cost of the fungicide is well worth saving my entire lawn from this infection. I appreciate their commitment to service and the quality of work they do.

Not well in terms of appropriate billing for services completed and the customer service after the sale. The response to a billing error was quite apathetic and clearly indicated they did not value my business. Even after I shared that I would post my experiences on Angie's List, they continued to be apathetic. So sad because the work quality was not bad.

He came out very quickly and the weeds appear to be all dying. I would definitely use these guys again because they were very responsive and professional even though I used a big deal coupon. Really nice and reasonable.

I had asked for confirmation of when the technician would arrive and this was agreed. When he arrived he said that he would treat the garden and provide an estimate of the cost of regular service. As it was lunchtime my wife and I ate and afterwards wen to see where the technician was. He had gone and left the estimate on the front door. I have no idea what he treated, if anything, as he certainly did not treat the back yard as my wife and I were eating lunch there! There has been no discernible difference to the weed situation of our lawns and growth this year has been far behind that of our neighbors' lawns. I have now treated the lawn myself by spotweeding and an application of Weed and Feed to try to get things moving. I understand previous comments that one treatment is insufficient but I cannot trust a company that did not perform the service as promised. Sorry.

Weed Man provided a great service. They were prompt in scheduling and arrived on time. They called before and after to follow up. We were so pleased we decided to sign up for their yearly service.

I always wanted to be notified 24 hours in advance, so that my family would know why there were people in the yard. ?Recently I have re-seeded areas that I did not want fertilizer on until such time the grass was taking hold. ?Weed Man was to get an OK from me before service. ?The technician called, he was in my driveway, couldn't get me on the phone, so took it upon himself to do it anyway. ?He assumed it was OK. ?I was not humored with his assumption. ?I have terminated my service with Weed Man. ?Aside from today's episode they have been good about coming out, but I can't say that I really have seen any benefit from their service.

They followed the appointment times I suggested when I signed for the deal through Angie's List. Due to an unusual circumstance the first time (broken pump for the technician), I was unable to receive the service on the assigned day. Even though they had submitted me for another day, they neglected to inform me of the next potential arrival. Not a big deal as I didn't have to be home when they arrived, but I did want to ask a few questions to the technician. Otherwise, I did receive the service and it seems to have killed and stopped the spread of the majority of the weeds. I would use them again in the future.

Setting up the appointment was fine but I wanted to be there and he just went without my being there so I felt like I wasn’t heard. He came and completed the treatment and I see a marginal difference.

So far so good, but it will a few weeks to see the real results

It went very well. He sprayed my yard the next day after I bought the coupon, so I was pleased.

It was an easy process. I signed up for the deal and they contacted me immediately. They scheduled someone to come out that same week. I did not have to be home which was convenient. My lawn looks so much better in just a few weeks. We are very happy with the customer service and the results.

We have been using them for years. They come out I think five times a year. I have been with them because of their price. We pay them per visit. Their quality of work is okay. They are pretty clean about their work. Their price is a little high.

Sorry, I wasn't here to watch for a blow by blow. There were visible granules in the lawn after the treatment. After a due lapse of time, many varieties of weed appear distressed / dying, and there are only isolated crabgrass clumps that managed to sprout. This is one of the better treatment results obtained.

The technician called the day before he was arriving, which is good so I had family members there the next day at the house to inform me of do's and don'ts of lawn care after the services were completed to talk to the technician but apparently he came but didn't knock on the door at all. I just wished that they could do that because what I'm supposed to do now as far as instructions. Like do I have to wait a week before I mow my lawn? or do I have to water it in? The only thing I received is a yellow bag in the mailbox with an invoice and a smell of weed treatment in the yard that verifies the lawn was treated. I will edit this review in a week or two as a follow-up on the lawns condition.

They were very professional. They called before coming to the house. I was very pleased and am signing up for a year's service. I will be meeting with them the next time they come to make sure we are in agreement as to what needs to be done to get my muchly needed yard in tip top shape.

Saw a little notice on the lawn & on my front door. Both indicated that the lawn had been fertilized. Never met him or saw him although I was at home on that day.

He came and did not knock on the door. He do not think he worked on the backyard because the fence was locked. He called and came on a Monday when we had scheduled it for another day. I usually pick Tuesdays and he came on a Monday. He had called like at 9 o'clock the night before. According to the paper work that was hanging on the door, it showed that he came yesterday at 9:18 am. My roommate was there but he didn't even knock on the door to be let in the backyard. It said on the paperwork that he sprayed the yard and treated the crabgrass.

Courteous, prompt, communicated well. Most weeds were dying within a few days.

I bought the $50 "deal" which was supposed to cover a much larger area than my yard so I expected the full treatment. It took at least 2 weeks until I could get an appointment. There appeared to be 2 separate treatments, one for fertilazation and the other for weeds. Two men came out. They were a little late but called to let me know why. I see very little difference between the way the lawn looked before and several weeks after the treatment. A few weeds died back but most did not. A large area in the front appeared to be untouched as far as the weeds go. I will have to go around and respray for myself. They seem quite disorganized as I received several telemarketing calls after I had already purchased this "deal". I am totally dissatisfied with Weed Man's service!

It did not turn out very well. They said that the Big Deal only covered 7000 sq. ft. They only did about 1/3 of my yard.

I started with Weedman in early summer of 2013. I actually had a Groupon that I used first and got a lawn analysis and treatment. Then I decided to use them, actually got a slightly different analysis. When I did the Groupon, I actually got to talk to the guy that came out, though he looked like he wanted to run for the hills. But the reason I left Weedman was because literally from the moment I started service (without Groupon) to the end, I never got to talk to one person out at the house. Even if I or my wife was home, they would only leave a sheet at the door and take off. You were only to call them if you had questions, and while this method may work for some, it didn't work for me. Plus, they would come out, treat the yard, and then leave notes like, "You need to rake the yard." I live in a very woodsy neighborhood. Had I known someone was coming, I WOULD rake the yard. So I called Weed man and the person I spoke with was professional. He said someone would call when they were to come out. Instead, I got an automated message and had to call back to cancel it if I couldn't be home or couldn't get to the yard to rake it. Then they were calling my wife, who (and this is not their fault) was not relaying the message to me. And I would miss them. Then one day I stayed home and somehow the guy came and went without me knowing. I started getting multiple sheets, not sure how much I owe, and then late charges. That's when I had enough and canceled in December. Then I get a call in January from a rep apologizing and asking for another chance. I explained that I want someone to take me through the yard and talk about the issues and what I need to do on my end. What was the plan for 2014. I didn't feel like their treatments were taking. Sometimes it would rain right after they came. Is that good or bad? So it was arranged that John would come out and do this. But they wanted to get me going right away, no later than the end of January. Remember, this is when we were getting snow and very cold temperatures. We kept having to cancel due to the weather. Finally, we arranged a day in late February at 3pm. I stayed home from work. John did not show. I wrote the office the next day and said "no more". I got a call from John that afternoon saying "he forgot" (I still have the message) and wanted me to call back for an appointment. What a joker. I didn't call back. It wasn't over. I got a bill in March for $52 for a treatment in February. Now if there is one thing I know about Weedman, they always left a sign in the yard AND the write-up at the door, as I mentioned. But I never got one. Plus, no one was supposed to treat without me there. So I wrote a message refusing to pay and asked why I got a bill. According to the rep, someone treated on Feb. 4th. I knew that NOT to be true. So now they were charging me for work not done. There's no way I am using Weedman again. I wish it would have worked out. I look at my yard right now and it looks horrible. I am aghast at the money I spent with them. That's what prompted me to write this. Every now and then I think a company takes work that isn't right for them and goes through the motions. That's the case with me, Maybe it COULD have worked out if we could work together, but this company will have none of that. They are willing to do repeat visits, but since I never knew what to look for, it was hard to ask them to come back out. I talked to a neighbor that uses them too and she said she has never talked to anyone at the house either. Again, that may work for some. It's not like they NEED to do anything indoors. This is the second time I used a lawn service and might be the last. I will keep an eye on other yards. There are so many services out there so if I were you I would look elsewhere. Note: The "D" in Professionalism is mostly about John not showing, but I guess you could say it's them not talking at the house either.
