Unlockit Locksmith & Security

This was a good experience. The quality of the work is great. Our locks have always been screwed up- neither front nor back doors ever locked right. We are happy with the quality of the service and the punctuality and professionalism of the tech. The only other comment I have is that I rated them a B for responsiveness only because it took me a few days to get an appointment that I could be there for. I started conversing with the company on Friday and had the service on Monday. Would have preferred to have it done a little quicker, but they were booked for Friday and Saturday. To their credit, they offered to send a technician on Sunday even though they normally don't work on Easter Sunday. That wasn't going to work for me as I had plans that day, but appreciated the offer.

Great experience. Tracy and crew worked with our crazy schedule. Estmator and serviceman both very professional and experienced. Their recommendations actually helped us save money. Fair price for all work done. Would absolutely recommend them and use them again, if needed.

The technician arrived precisely on time, asked me what I wanted done, and began quickly evaluating the situation. He explained that he would be able to use all the existing locks and he re-keyed them so that I could use one key for all entry doors. At each step, he gave me the information so I could make an informed choice. When I mentioned that the front door wouldn't completely close unless the deadbolt was on, he explained how to fix it and asked if I wanted him to do it for me. I said I would like him to do so, and he did. Even though he could have charged me, he said there was no charge since it was just a minor fix.

The technician was very efficient and completed the job quickly. The price was very competitive and reasonable! I will call on UnlockIt for all my future key needs as well as recommend them to anyone in need of the services of a locksmith.

I called several locksmiths on here but decided to go with a little more expensive one and I'm glad I did. The technician called ahead and met me at my new home. He was very professional and got to work right away. He spotted a problem with the garage door and lubed it up. Said it had a few years left but will probably need to be replaced later. He finished very quickly and gave me a new set of keys. (This is probably why I'd recommend them). I've always gotten the cheapest rekey services for my business, but decided to splurge since this was for our first home. It seems trivial to get a new set of keys but the cheaper services always change your existing keys. The problem with that is when you go get copies made they don't work! It was the little details like lubing the locks, complimentary quick fix on the patio door not aligning correctly and new keys that really made this company worth writing a review for. I'd highly recommend this locksmith, in this case, you really do get what you pay for.

Gil called when he way about 15 minutes away and was right on time for our appointment. He was friendly and professional and did an excellent job of helping us decide which options would be the best choice for our needs. He calculated the cost before beginning any work and included the 5% discount for the Angie's List coupon. The sliding door repair was a bit more difficult than anticipated and he ended up having to replace some of the hardware. He worked quickly and also did an excellent job. When he was finished he explained that given he had to replace some hardware on the sliding door, the total would be slightly higher than the initial estimate. When he explained he needed to replace some hardware I assumed the total price would increase so I was not surprised. However, I was surprised when he offered to give us a discount on the additional cost - that was very much appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience. Given this was a service directly related to the security of our home I was so pleased at his level of professionalism. We will definitely call them again then next time we need a locksmith.

I called and talk with their representative and she quoted me the price per lock and the time it would take to accomplish the job. I told her i would give her a call back once I contacted my property manager to get a good date and time i could request services. Once I got all the required information, I contacted the company and scheduled the appointment. The gentleman arrived on time and was described and knowledgeable and courteous.

The good experience started right away with the woman who answered the phone. She answered my questions, discussed options with me, and told me the prices up front. The appointment was made for two days after I called. The locksmith called when he was on his way. He was courteous and professional, he was considerate of keeping doors closed for our animals, and he answered questions as I had them. He discussed options with me, and even suggested ways I could save money on the job. The job was done beautifully, the keys all work great and the locks are secure.

Overall the experience was very good.

My wife and I have a house/cat sitter when we travel. In my office I have three file drawers with personal and financial information that I do not want her to be able to see. I had lost the key to all the file drawers and had Unlockit come to replace the keys. They sent someone over the next day although I had said that there was no rush. He showed up exactly on time and finished quickly. The charge was exactly as indicated and he was pleasant to work with. I have put the company's card on file and will absolutely use them again when I need lock work.

After reading the reviews on Angie's List, I called Unlockit. Spoke to Tracy and she set my appointment on the exact day and time I requested. Received confirmation call the night before. Hadi (the service person) arrived at exactly the time requested. He called while in route to confirm address. Hadi re-keyed my locks and noticed I was a new home owner. He gave me some great security tips on my new home. He also asked "Did I re-set my garage openers?" Something I didn't even consider. He then showed me how to re-set my garage code so any previous openers wouldn't work. I really really appreciated this, because the previous home owners had "lost" the remotes to one of the garages. Unlockit was fantastic! I will recommend and use them anytime I need a locksmith! Was quite impressed! Would totally recommend them!!!

I communicated with Tracy via phone or e-mail several times at the company's office. She was very courteous, professional on the phone and promptly responded to my e-mails. An appointment was scheduled for me in a timely manner. Gil, the technician, contacted me on his way to the house and arrived right on time. He was very professional and courteous and explained my options regarding replacement of the lock. He did not have a lock on his truck which would be an adequate replacement but went to a local hardware store and found a very similar match which worked great.Gil was considerate to ask me if it would be inconvenient for me if he left for a short time to find a suitable lock replacement. From setting up the appointment to having the work done was a great experience. Tracy and Gil were a pleasure to work with.

Great job from beginning to end. Estimated price was the final price. On day of install, Locksmith did not have exact matching color of door knob so they had to order it from Texas. No problems, no issue, no extra cost. Unlockit returned and the work was completed in a professional manner. I will use them again and recommend them without reservation. Thank you, JP

Much better than I expected

They were prompt, polite and thorough.

The representative called thirty minutes before the time he was due to arrive to tell me that he would be there at the appointment time. When he arrived he offered to just change the key in the lock which would have been a cheaper service for me but it would not have solved the other problem of being able to unlock the door from the inside without a key. The representative performed the task quickly and efficiently. This cost was still below the estimate I was given over the phone. I received the 5% discount as well as the 4 keys that were promised. I was very pleased with this service.

We had some problem on the back door and they came right back out and fixed it.

Our front door bolt broke and the door was stuck in place. I turned to Angie's List for a review since you've got to be careful on any item involving home security. Saw that Unlockit got stellar reviews and decided to use their service. They were prompt, courteous and professional and quickly completed the job.

On Friday my granddaughter pulled the front door handle off of my front door. I screwed it back on and took her (age 3) and my one year old grandson to Fernbank. When we got home, we could not open the front door - the handle was ineffective. Luckily I keep a lockbox on my basement door so we got the keys out of it, unlocked the house and all was well. While they took naps I took the handle off and put it back on again. Then when they got up they wanted to walk around the block. I left the house without my cell phone and we walked around the block, returning to find that the handle on the front door fell off instead of opening the door. Now we were truly locked out with the lockbox keys now in the house and I had no phone. My granddaughter crawled in the dog door in the basement (pitch dark), went up the stairs, and I coached her from the outside into unlocking one of the upstairs exterior doors. So I called Unlockit. I could manage without fixing it until Monday. Brent, the locksmith, called to give me 10 minutes warning before his arrival right on time early Monday morning. He quickly repaired and replaced the door handle and rekeyed the door so that I could use the same exterior key on the two outside doors. He was pleasant, the work was well-done, reasonable priced and efficient. I'll never lock myself out of the house again like that (!!) but should I, I would immediately call Unlockit. They are a great company.

Gil performed the work for me. He was courteous, professional, pleasant and clean. Got the job done quickly, quietly and was very neat. The office called before to inform me of exactly what time he would be here and they were very courteous too. I will definately use them again!

I needed them right away my key broke in my lock, they responded within and Hour, and did a great job. Hadi was very Professional, and very pleasant. Got a follow up call to make sure everything was to my Satisfaction. Great Customer Service.

The tech was pleasant and professional. He called to let us know he was running behind because of traffic, but only by 15 minutes. We were very pleased with the service and received a 5% discount for using Angie's List.

On Christmas Day of 2012, my kids and I were headed out the door in a rush to get to a movie. Unfortunately, we could not pull the door closed, because the latch on the door nob was stuck. My daughter rushed to get a hammer so that she could give the latch a strong hit which would allow the door to close. The hammer fix worked, but when we returned home from the movie we could not get into our house through the front door, because the door nob would not turn. So we went in the house through the back door for the next few days until I realized that we were not going to be able to fix the front door lock ourselves. So, I looked up locksmiths on Angie's List and found "Unlock It." I'm so relieved that I did, because within a few hours of my phone call to them, they had a terrific professional by the name of Hadi, at my door with his expertise ready to remedy our problem! AWESOME SERVICE!!! Our new door handle and lock works like a dream!
