The painting itself is excellent- the crew did an incredible, detailed job. Very professional. Unfortunately the professionalism ended there- I called the office the day before our job to confirm several things, including that it was okay for us to meet the crew at my house in the morning and then be gone for the day (in order to remove small child and large dog from the premises). I was assured that yes, my home would be fine, and that I would be able to review the specifics of the job with the crew when they arrived the following morning. On the morning of the job, we were met with a crew who spoke minimal English. The "foreman" (who spoke English) did not arrive until 2.5 hours later, during which time my husband had to unexpectedly stay home from work. The crew did not appear to be clear on what needed to be painted in our house, therefore we were very uncomfortable to leave it lest the wrong places be painted. When I called the office to discuss this concern, it took multiple phone calls on our part to finally speak with someone who was in fact in charge of our job- it came across and harried and unorganized. We were told by one person that they "weren't even sure what crew was at our house," and then by another than someone "was on vacation and we're all just trying to fill in the gaps." These statements made us feel as if our job did not matter to the company, raising extremely high concern on our part as the cost of this job was not something we were taking lightly. Ultimately, I spoke with Chris, the owner of The Painting Company, to express our displeasure at the multiple events of miscommunication and poor service we had received. He did not seem phased by this, even telling my husband at one point that we "were one of 27 jobs in the city that day," thereby implying that we were not a major concern to him. In fact, because of the poor communication and the fact that the English-speaking "foreman" of our painting crew did not arrive to our house until 11:00 am (I was told he would arrive between 8 and 9 am with the crew), the wrong color was painted throughout our house. We arrived to a home that was bright robin's egg blue instead of a light gray. This issue could have been resolved if the foreman had arrived on time, as was promised. The crew came back to our house the next morning with the right color, but we then had to make several phone calls to figure out who would be arriving to our home to do the final walk through. We received no further communication from the owner throughout this. All this to say, hire this company at your own risk. The only reason we aren't giving them an F is because the crew was so kind and truly did great work. The rest of our experience with this company was a complete mess. I would not recommend them to anyone.

The work was very good but if you have a high roof, make sure that they don’t damage your gutters.

The job was scheduled with a deposit to be finished7/8/2016. Due to one day delay of bad weather job was complete about 5 days later. They knew we were to place home on the market 7/11/16. There communication is terrible besides the one day delay they never kept me updated. I had to get in touch with them. I am fortunate that I didn't have to schedule my work to make up for there lack of professionalism. The wood repair was done with one person and had to climb 3 floors without spotter. Not very safe. The paint job was sloppy. I expect some drips but way too much. Paint spots all over the deck and on the front brick face. They didn't cover nails holes and in some places paint is light if any. They butchered shrubs and stomped on plants. If it was a problem they could have asked me to trim more as I was home all the time. I thought that a "project manager" would make the rounds to check on the jobs but never seen one in fact never even spoke to one. I emailed over a week ago to address these issues and they never responded that is why the review.

They did an excellent job on my house , the workers were fast and professional they got the job done in no time , glad I got this great deal

The painters came in corrected some things went to work nice to be around. A good price for the work.

My wife scheduled to have an estimate done and "they forgot to put your appointment into the system". This caused my wife to sit at home waiting for someone who never showed up. After calling them back, they were going to schedule someone to come out that same afternoon and my wife didn't need to be at home for the quote. My wife asked that they call so that she could explain some of the more detailed information that we wanted done with the painting. Nobody ever called. We also never received a estimate. She called and left a message inquiring if we were going to receive an estimate and the call was not returned. I guess Angie's List reviews aren't always as they seem.

With less than 24 hours before my project was to begin they called and notified me they had cancelled our project and would instead arrive on July 1st. I had already scheduled time off work for the 30th. I could have been flexible 30 days ago but to cancel less than 24 hours before is unprofessional and I requested a refund on my deposit. I did all the prep-work requested prior to the project start date. Everything is off the wall, my furniture is in the center of the room, everything. I made an effort to really be prepared, and they let me down. Total disappointment.

This is my first large experience with contractors. I guess like any contractor you have to stay on top of everything. When we initially spoke with with the project manager we said we wanted any siding pieces replaced that were rotten or damaged. We pointed out any initial spots we knew of, but also said they were likely to find additional pieces as they would have a better eye for these things. Also additional damaged areas may crop up after pressure washing that weren't previously easily seen. Near the end I crawled on the roof and took photos all around the house to show the project manager and point out I just want everything that is rotten to be swapped out. Pros: * good work on siding * friendly workers * good communication with the painters themselves Cons: * I'll need to do some scraping and repaint a few places ( bubbling up and or peeling already) * I was out of town and told "The East Atlanta Painting Company" ( EAPC ) multiple times to contact my wife and update the email/phone number on the account and they never did. She gave them her phone number and email when contracting the job. * we were quoted over the phone for additional chimney work $1,900 then that changed to $2,100 via email ok sure sure maybe had a few hangups or job was harder than first look. The final quote was $2,400 !? that 500$ difference ? my wife talked them back down to 2100. Please pick a price and stick with it, or at least be able to back up the charges * I had to spoon feed them and stay on top of the siding people and the painters. More so the siding. We had a 1in hole basically 3 stories up (ya I know it high ) but I had to say something about it like 2-3 times before it was done. My wife also said something about it. * Since we were under the understanding that pieces that were damaged were going to be replaced, we thought the carpenters would find and replace everything that would be needed and I wouldn't have to go around the house poking around and finding rotten siding after they thought they were done because not everything was written up in the original quote. Yes, we understood if something totally out of scope would cost extra (like the chimney which was a mess and required its own quote), but apparently if it's not specifically written out in the initial quote they're reluctant to do the work. If it's going to cost a few extra bucks, we can talk about it and get it done. So my take away from this is, be sure to go over with the project manager any and all problems that you are aware of and specifically what work needs to be done.

Very professional, arrived on time.

They worked Wednesday, Thursday, and part of Friday. The trim was poorly done. I was told crew managers and project supervisors would be here with the rest of the crew at the time of the job, and they weren’t.

Very responsive when asking about a quote, prompt and professional. Crew worked hard to get everything done within a week and did a nice job.

The crew assigned to my residence was very hard-working, courteous and professional. I was very impressed with their knowledge and willingness to cooperate with each other to get the job done in an efficient manner. The results were first rate. They arrived early and stayed as late to finish the job promptly, but without sacrificing quality. I would definitely use them again on my next painting work.

Great experience from start to finish! when Paul came to give me an estimate, he gave me the quote within 15 minutes and we scheduled the job that day. All the painters on the job were prompt, courteous and professional. They moved the big pieces of furniture before & after painting. They protected the furniture and floor with plastic and cloths. I will most definitely use the Painting Company again, & I highly recommend them!

Their sales agent who goes by the name of JT met me to go over the job. I thought I had a good conversation and I received a quote with details of what the work would entail. I had other painters also look at my house, but I decided to go with East Atlanta Painting Company and called JT to inform him my decision. I have other repairs going on in the house, and pretty much locked in the date for the painting, thinking that was the case. I stopped all jobs to accommodate the painting. They never showed up, and apparently the communication with their sales person and office manager completely fell through. They didn't have me on the schedule as planned, even though I called and confirmed with JT that morning. I waited for 45 minutes and no one showed up total waste of time. I'm not one to complain much but this is my first experience of this kind and they were so highly rated. I feel it's important to read all reviews carefully, In my opinion stay away. Here is the email I sent yesterday. They called me a couple of hours later after I sent the email to tell me they couldn't fit me in the schedule anymore and that they have declined the job. Very unprofessional! Hi Andrea, JT, I'm following up on our conversation this morning. Please let me know if your able to do the painting this weekend. Unfortunately, I can't loose additional days and repair work needs to continue Monday. JT I'm disappointed in the way things have been handled. Following the below email, I called you Friday to let you know I was going with you and you confirmed for May 2nd. Then I followed last Friday, thinking your coming this Monday May 2nd. You said you'll see if you can move it and that you will call me back to confirm. Nothing. I called you yesterday you said your on another call and will call back. Again nothing. Then I called you this morning and you said they'll be there at 9:30a at the house and that forms were emailed to me. We'd discussed that we'd keep most colors and you'll show me samples to choose for the upstairs rooms. I waited 45 minutes and tried to reach you and Andrea. This is bad business. I've had several people from Angie's list working on my house - Aquaguard etc etc. I will be giving my reviews. This is my first experience of this kind - it's misleading and inaccurate. I talked to a comparable company who were willing to cut down their prices. I still chose you based on the reviews I read on Angie's list. Now it's late to make other arrangements. It jeopardizes everything to try to get someone in the time that we need the job completed. Please let me know how you can fix this problem. I want to trust you'll do a good job and get the details right. I still prefer to see a sample before deciding. Thank you.

On time everyday worked all day, very professional & polite did touch ups throughout house very pleased.
