Goes beyond just fixing the problem. Knows what to do & fixes other problems. We have 2 doors, checks all before leaving. Excellent.

I was leaving the house around 11:30am this morning 9-29-15 and when trying to open the garage door the "Genie Screw Type Opener" started making grinding noises and would not open the door. Manually opened the door (it was quite heavy) and tried to trouble shoot the problem. Soon realized I was not going to fix the door and got on line with you to see who were the best recommended garage door opener companies. Selected Overhead Door Co. of Atlanta based on the "A" rating and the high number of reviews. Called the company around 12:15 and was advised we could have a service man here before 4pm. The service man, Paul Williams, arrived around 1:45pm, quickly diagnosed the problem and offered two solutions (repair the existing system or convert to a different torsion spring arrangement) and quoted both. We selected the conversion due to lower cost and possible future ease of maintenance. During the repair process he kept showing me the broken parts and what he was replacing and worked at a very steady pace. Completed the job around 3:15pm and thoroughly cleaned up the work area. Before leaving he asked if I had any questions and when I said "no", he waited a few seconds then said "OK, here is what you should ask" and proceeded to show me the wear points in the system that should be lubricated periodically, recommended product for the job to be purchased at local hardware stores and then made his departure. Paul, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful - a very good representative for his company.

As usual, Overhead door personnel were punctual in coming out for the estimate as well as the install. I was given a clear proposal that met my desires and was highly competitive with other proposals. The installation was completed in about three hours at the time specified. A thorough explanation of the care and operation of the door was provided and the worksite was totally cleaned up prior to the techs departure. Once again, I am highly pleased with the service Overhead Door has provided.

It went well. They did the work quickly. Since I had the work done, one of the tracks has come off. I put it back on, put I'm not sure why it came off in the first place.

It was fine. It was very expensive. I’ll probably will use them again because both of my doors are overhead doors and so I want it resolved efficiently.

The gentleman was thorough, professional, and kind. He explained everything and did a great job of explaining what he was doing, what the 'normal' noises were and what indicated any future problems. Extremely helpful and it was all positive.

The company was very professional they came on time and started right away with the services we wanted. They went over everything we needed to know on how to operate our new garage. My parents' were very pleased with the end results. We have a garage that compliments our home and we were told if we have any problems or questions to just call, and someone will come to our home. Appointment time was set for Thursday June 11, 2015 between 8am and 12pm. The service technician, Eddie Jensen, arrived at exactly 8am and ready to get started. I explained that I wanted general maintenance and a keypad installed and I did mention to him a slight problem I was experiencing with the actual garage door. Almost right away he found the problem with the drive gear and told me the price to repair the drive gear (in addition to the quote that I received from the office when I set up the appointment). Usually, with other companies, the technician always finds a reason to charge for "extras", so I was expecting the same from Overhead Door. I was pleasantly surprised when Eddie Jensen informed me he would check with his boss to see if he can give me a discount on the drive gear since I was doing it at the same time as the other work. He came back to me and advised me he would charge me only for the part plus 15 minutes of labor. I was very impressed that he did this for me and was completely satisfied with the results. I will certainly be calling them again.

Excellent. Very professional. Showed on time and performed service very quickly and professionally. I had guessed an approximate price, and it came in right on the number, so no surprise or disappointment there.

I want a really good door and I wanted it from somebody who I knew would stay at my hand. When I built the house, they were the one who put the original doors in. So, I decided to go back with them. They were great. I got the person who I wanted to do it that work for the company. He came out and he did it in one day. I have then no problem at all.

This home improvement purchase makes me so happy and I would never have thought I could get so much joy out of properly functioning garage doors. For the past 3 years, when winter would hit, I'd have a difficult time getting out of my garage due to the existing garage door opener (approx 20 years old). I'd persist, eventually the weather would warm up and then I'd forget about it. But this winter I was going crazy. It would take me a few minutes to get out of my house because I'd have to hit the open/close button multiple times to work the door up or down in increments. Overhead Door came out on on time, gave me an estimate and we schedule the work for 2 days later. I decided to go with a slightly more expensive model of garage door opener. And boy, am I glad I did. Those things are so quiet, you don't even hear the garage door being opened. I think the installation job was a little bit more challenging than most just due to how the old garage door openers were wired. But James persisted and was so pleasant. It was also a blistering cold day that day and I appreciated that he had such a great attitude. I can now open my garage door on one click as I'm driving down the street. Previously when I came home, I'd have to sit in my drive way for minutes as I played the "opening game". Honestly, this was some of the best home improvement money spent. I wish I had done the project three years ago. I highly recommend Overhead Door.

Matthew showed up on time, assessed the situation, reconnected the loose cable, tightened the springs that had caused the problem, lubricated all the moving parts, and checked the operation of the door. All done in a professional manner and was finished within an hour. Since my current opener is over 30 years old, he left a brochure on a replacement that he would recommend when it was time to replace. I would definitely use them again.

Mr. Huddleston visited the property and determined what needed to be done. He carefully explained my options on doors and opening equipment. He listened to us, and did not just recommend what he wanted to sell. There were no surprises about costs or any hidden charges whatsoever. We were very clear about what we were getting and we are very pleased with the results. I am writing this review almost 9 months later, and we are still very pleased. They look wonderful and the door operation is very solid and quiet. The doors have made a big energy difference in the garage also.

They were fine. It was at a different house, but they were on time, they did the work as promised, they did a good job ,and they were very nice to work with. They were very cordial and very easy to work with. The price was higher, but I had an overhead door prior to that and it had served me well. I would certainly get an approximate from them in the future. There were other places offering lower prices, but I felt the quality was worth it.

The appointment was between 12 and 4. He called about 2 o'clock and told me he would be there in 20 minutes. Albert was there as he said he would be. Had all the equipment went to work and had it completed in an hour. He gave me a senior discount that was a little more then the Angie's list discount. I have had them out before to do some repair and they are the best people to work with. They all know their job and they also know people, which is a great plus for the company. Our garage spring broke on a Saturday morning and we needed it replaced. Overhead Door Company came out the same day, within the time window they promised and repaired the door. The technician was one of the most courteous and professional service providers I have ever used. The work was completed promptly and the cost is what I was quoted. In addition to the spring replacement, he performed a tune up on the door to make it operate quietly. I highly recommend this company.

We chose them primarily because the Genie garage door opener was compatible with the remote transmitters in our cars, and everything went well. They made scheduling easy despite the fact that I was out of town, the technician arrived in a truck that had the company's logo, and he did the work without leaving a mess.

Due to a mix-up (my husband and I both spoke to repair companies by phone thinking they were the same one - they weren't) they didn't actually do the work as the other company arrived first. However I was impressed by the speed of their response and have previously had work done by this company which was excellent.

Experience went very well. I scheduled repair while I was out of town. I was given a repair window of 8-12 on 12/16. At 8 I received a call and by 8:30 the tech was at my house. He confirmed the price which had been quoted (replace both door springs) and completed the job in 45 minutes. The company takes cash, checks and credit cards. They gave me a senior's discount and a 5 year warranty on the work. There was no attempt to upsell (new rollers, tune up, etc.).6; I would defintely recommend this company.
