Precision Garage Door Service

We recently bought a house and the previous owners were only parking on one side of their garage and were using the other side as storage, so only one door had an opener on it. There was no way I was going to buy a house with a garage only to have to continue parking outside, so one of the first things I did was get onto Angie's List to find someone who could install an open on the other door. I was able to schedule an appointment with no problem, and Joey arrived within the time window that had given me. He was very friendly and got everything taken care of within an hour or so. I love the new opener... the only problem is that it's so much quieter and smoother than the original one on the other door that now I want to replace that one as well! Whenever we get ready to replace the original opener or if we ever need any maintenance, we'll be contacting Precision.

I asked for a technician to come and give me a quote and the service fee is 50 dollars just for someone to coma and take a look, an then there is an extra labor fee - I stopped listening when I was told there is a fee just for someone to come here and give me a quote, so I don't remember how much the labor fee is. How are these people getting business??????

It was a very good working experience, the job was handled efficiently and thoroughly, as even when an unexpected part needed to be changed he handled it and treated us very fairly. We were very satsfied with the work done.

At a time when customer no-service seems to be the norm, it was surprising and refreshing to work with "PGD" who displays excellent customer service from initial service call inquiry to the completed job. Overall the experience with "PGD" was above and beyond excellent. I will not hesitate to call "PGD" again when needed and I'll gladly refer "PGD" to friends and neighbors.

My experience with them was great, but we didn't end up using them. The quote was reasonable. They were very professional and very nice. It was a great experience. They were excellent. Their response time, their professionalism, and their punctuality made it excellent.

After we bought the new garage door opener and some parts for our 21 year old garage door David drove over an hour through a Georgia thunderstorm to pick up the required product/parts (he had already sold the three openers he had with him). David than returned to complete the installation and repairs in just over an hour. Other than the new opener and garage door parts no one would have even known David had been there. My garage was spotless. Thats the way to do an install. I've bought and installed a few garage doors in my time. Never again. The quality and value of the product and installation make buying from Precision Door Service a no brainer. These people know how to do it right.

It was good. They're polite and on time. They did everything on the spot. Overall they're fine but their price was so little over the top so I did not continue using their service and also there is a lot of company that I thought I like better.

I signed up for the $99 garage door tune-up through Angie's List. This is for a house I just bought two months ago with two garage doors--one older wooden door and one newer aluminum door. Both doors use Genie power garage door openers. My intent was to have the $99 service performed and to ask the technician to look at a problem with the metal door not closing. I expected to pay extra for that service. The technician was a couple of hours late. He called to let me know that he was behind schedule. It was not a problem for me as I had taken the whole day off work, but it would have been if I had had only a couple of hours available. When he showed up, the technician was courteous. He checked out both doors, lubricated both of them, and replaced the rollers on one, as part of the $99 service. He discussed with me whether I would like to replace the older wooden door with a newer metal door. He offered a price somewhere between $500 and $600 to install a new door. I decided not to have that work done. I showed him how the newer metal door that I have was not closing all the way using the power opener. He investigated and discovered that when the door was installed the installer had not replaced the springs, but had left the original springs in place (which were for a heavier wooden door). The springs for the new door were in the garage, so he was able to replace them for me. He explained beforehand that if I wanted him to do the replacement I would be charged the standard labor fee of $129. I agreed and he did the work in about 30 minutes. The door works the way it is supposed to now. In addition, he pointed out to me a problem with the frame on one side of one of the doors. This is not something he could repair, but it does not hinder the functionality of the door.

They fixed the problem. We did not have any issues. They did it fine. Everything was fixed. It was neat and tidy. I had no issues with him at all.

The company contacted me to schedule the appointment. They arrived to repair on time and completed the job quickly.

I did one of the AL Big Deals. After purchasing, I called to set up an appt. They were very flexible and worked with me to find a good time, and then did the same when I called back to change the time due to a conflict that arose on my end. I received email confirmation of appointment immediately afterward. On day of job, Dave called in advance to let me know he was on his way. He inspected our garage door and went over everything with me as he did it. He showed me several things I could do myself between visits to keep the door in good shape. We have a 30-year old, 400 lb. wooden door, so he easily could have tried to upsell a new garage door using fear-mongering sales tactics. He didn't. Instead he commented that the door installed very well, balanced, etc. and the rollers had been updated and gave me an idea as to the age of the electric opener. He went over everything and tigtened down bolts on hinges and rollers, lubricate spring, and he checked and adjusted some things on the electric opener to get it working right. The garage door opens much smoother and more quietly now. Then he installed the keypad where we wanted it, covering up the hole where an old hardwired keypad had been removed before we bought our house. Everything works great now. I will certainly call Precision for future service and/or to upgrade our old, heavy, creaky door with a new one when the time comes.

They were great. They showed up. He called me when he was running late. It was a very pleasant man who came out and it was easy to make the appointment. He did the work, and he was in and done in less than an hour. I had asked him some questions about possibly replacing the garage door and he was very knowledgeable and gave me a quote. I'm not going to do anything right now, but they were very reasonable.

Not only did the service technician show up on time and do exactly what I'd asked for, he helped me troubleshoot an electrical connection issue so that we could be doubly-assured of the installation working correctly. The company was a little slow reaching out to me after I'd bought the coupon, but I got plenty of information online and could have scheduled the visit more promptly myself, if it had been important.

The technician showed up on time, didn't try to sell me anything, and installed the opener as requested. Good job and I would recommend this company.

The representative was punctual and professional. He performed the assessment and fixed the problem.

One garage door was damaged and required replacement. Old doors were no longer made, hence requiring two new door to match. Purchsed two new insulated doors. Price was less than offer by original garage door company, very competitive. Installer also replaced broken remote control switch at no additional charge.

The service man called before he arrived to tell me his eta. Very nice and professional. It didn't take him long at all to do check the doors and install the key pad.

I signed up for this deal based upon the positive reviews. The company was very prompt in contacting me and setting up an appointment. On the phone I stressed to the young lady that my garage door opener was an older Overhead Door brand, approximately 1994, and that i needed additonal remotes and understood they would be above the price of the deal. I asked if I needed to provide any information off the openers, she said "no." The technician arrived and was very professional however he immediately told me my openers were so old I could not get parts or a remote or keypad. He gave me two quote for new garage door openers and I said I would thik about. The only other option he presented to me was to spend several hundred dollars to have some adapter or whatnot so he could provide me a remote and keypad. I have called Overhead Door and researched on the internet and I can get a door remote for my existing openers for $50 or less. I don't have to have anything else...period. As a single mother I can't afford to spend $600 to $800 on new garage door openers when I can spend $50 on a new remote. Although the price he quoted me is competitive with other companies for new openers; I felt he was decitful about the impossibility of getting a remote rather than having to buy new openers or get something installed that would allow me to keep my existing ones. The owners of the company have been very responsive and I am working to get my money refunded. The are genuinely concerned about providing quality service.

We had 1 no show on an appointment, but the company quickly dispatched another employee with the next few days. The employee identified himself as a manager. He changed the rollers and threw in a free key ;pad to make up for the no show, Our garage door now doesn't make as much noise.

I purchased an Angie's List deal for a Garage Door Tune-up and Roller Replacement. Within a day or two of my purchase, I received a voicemail at home indicating they would like to schedule my appointment. I returned the call on a Saturday (about 5 days later) and was pleasantly surprised to speak to a live representative. It was fairly later (perhaps about 6pm), so I wasn't certain they were even still answering calls. I was able to schedule an appointment for the following Monday. They provided a 2 hour timeframe for the technicians arrival. The technician called me about 60 minutes into that window and indicated he was 15 minutes away and wanted to confirm it was still fine for him to come over. He arrived in 15 minutes. He reviewed the services that I would be receiving and pointed out a few things about my existing door and rollers. He completed the work quickly (I don't remember exactly how long it took, but maybe 30 minutes). When he was finished he walked through the changes and also had me listen to the door as it opened/closed. He told me about another garage door opener option that is silent (except the sound of the door itself). But he also confirmed that my current opener was still in good shape, etc. So it was nice to hear my options, but not feel pressured to buy anything additional. He was courteous, professional and efficient with the work.

They said they'd call before they got there and they never did so my wife had to deal with them. She works fomr home and was in the middle of a meeting. I was going to come home since I work 10 mins form home. The inspection was done and the rollers were replaced but the garage door was not any quieter. I called the owner the next day and he promised to get back to me after he looked into it. three business days have passed with out getting a call back. The guy was only there for 15 minutes total.

Went great. Arrived on time, worked quickly and was friendly.

Things went great with them, they were outstanding. The guy even realigned some things for me, he corrected things that were incorrect at no extra cost.

My garage door had been hanging up for months... not once, not twice, but sometimes up to 4-5 times before it fully opened. It was sooo aggravating! I had friends look at the opener and the track and scratch their heads. A friend called and told me about an Angie's List special so I purchased the coupon and called to make an appointment to finally have a professional look at it. It was 1:20 on a Sunday afternoon. To my surprise, I was told a technician would be out between 2-4 (same day?!!) Wow. At 2:00 the doorbell rang. I was impressed. I don't ever remember calling a company and having the service performed so efficiently. Kudos to Precision Garage Door Service for their excellent work. When I'm ready for a new garage door or any further repairs, I'll definitely give them a call.
