Great crew of guys, fast service, would definitely use them again

It was a terrible experience. They showed up a man short. It took them 7 plus hours to pack the kitchen and 5 hours plus to pack the master bedroom. This was after we had already packed all of the cabinet drawers in all of the bathrooms. They were more concerned with talking on the phone and playing music. It took them 3 days to pack the house and load the truck. In the end they did not manage to pack the load correctly and a number of our belongings could not fit on the truck and we had to put them in storage to be picked up at another time and transported to where we live now at our expense. They packed our belongings by dumping the contents of a drawer into a box without paper or protective wrap. My china was not even put in a dish pack. They broke both my washer and dryer, they did not bolt down the barrels. Plus the washer had damage such that it looks like they dropped it. The more we expressed our concern for the way the job was being packed, the slower and less wrap they used. Throughout the nightmare of a weekend we continually tried to reach one of the owners and they would not return our calls. We had a great deal of damage done to our furniture due to the load pack arrangement. We had to be out by Monday, the close date. There was no way to change from this company at the time. They still refuse to contact us regarding damages . They lost a part to our bed... it just never was put on the truck. They throughout all the shelf unit pins and did not wrap the IKEA shelving units because they said they would not guarantee that type of wood anyway. They were ruined. The brand new carpet in my home is ruined because they did not sweep out the truck before loading. The floor was dirty and now it is all over my carpet from the boxes being moved in and set down on it. The foreman was extremely rude, almost belligerent at times when he did not agree. Please be advised, I cannot express strong enough DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, no matter the price they quote you. The damage they will cause is horrible. Plus they marked all kitchen boxes just Kitchen, Fragile. It took use over a week to find the utensils.

It was a fiasco. I reached out to them well in advance and made the appointment. The morning they got there for the move, they were not prepared with the proper number of people, according to their assessment. They never came out prior to that to see what I had to move. I asked them if they needed to come out and described to them everything I had to move. It took about nine hours. They were unprofessional and suggested it would have been better if I had used them and some friends instead of going through the company. I was moving one bedroom and it was literally nine hours. The manager was very nice and professional. I didn't go into a lot of detail with him regarding the level of unprofessionalism of the movers because I didn't want to jeopardize their jobs or have them know I was the one who caused them a problem at work. The manager and I did talk about the fact that it took all day long to move me. He did adjust the cost, so we came to an agreement financially. It was incredible. We moved from 9:00 that morning to almost dark. I would never recommend them to anyone. It was the worst move that I have ever done in my entire life. I've never been through an experience like that. It was pretty horrendous. The staff was friendly and professional but when the crew got there, everything changed. That was disappointing. The only saving grace was the manager adjusting the cost and handling that in a professional manner.

From the time we received our estimate from Georgia Pack and Load, we felt that GA Pack and Load would offer the best service and we were not at all disappointed. They contacted us a day before our move to confirm all was on schedule. They called again the morning of the move and said the would be there in 20 min, and they were. We had a crew of 6 men and 2 trucks, and everyone of them worked very hard. They treated our furniture as if it were there own, taking great precautions with wrapping by pads or shrink wrap all the furniture. The team of 6 worked well together (to us, it was obvious they had worked frequently as a team and backed each other up). The crew leader was great! When they got to our new home, they took precautions in covering the new flooring and carpet. They were willing to move furniture to the "right" place in each room. We had only one piece of furniture which had any "damage" and that was limited to one chair with a small scratch. We cannot say enough about how happy we were with the service provided.

Great! They showed up on time, did the job, and everything went very well. They did it all in one day, and there were 3 people. They were very careful with everything, and wrapped every piece of furniture that they move. They damaged the floor in the new place because there was a nail sticking out of the foot of the couch. I used the claims process, and they came out and repaired the floor. I would recommend them.

Everyone I spoke with was very professional. The way they packed everything was efficient and protected our belongings well. Everyone was extremely nice.

Overall: GA Pack & Move is the ONLY movers I will ever use again. Ever. I have used other movers... who will remain unnamed (2 Blank and a Blank...) and it is like they don't even perform the same service. Were they perfect? May... but, probably not but they got pretty darn close. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this mover. This was one of the BEST customer service experiences I have ever had. A couple of notes... I am probably a borderline hoarder, and I wasn't completely finished packing when they arrived. They finished loading the truck before I finished packing.... that's FAST. Scheduling: I scheduled through Angie's list. I advised them what date I needed, they confirmed at the time I booked and 7 days prior and 1 hour prior. They arrived exactly when they said they would. The Move : When the team arrived, I walked them through each room and explained how things were labeled... what was completely ready to move and what I needed to finish. After introductions and a walk-through.... they immediately got to work. They wrapped, covered, taped, and/or secured all my furniture. They took extra care in appropriately handling items that were identified as FRAGILE or valuable. Nothing was loaded in the truck with an open top. If it was open (i.e basket with toys) they plastic wrapped it to secure it's belongings. They disassembled and reassembled all the furniture that required it and made sure it was exactly what we expected before leaving. The Movers: The moving team was so courteous, professional, and efficient. They immediately made me feel at ease. They asked questions instead of assuming anything. They handled my items with care and respect. They took care and caution of both the home I was moving from and to. They had really wonderful, relaxed attitudes -- NO COMPLAINING. Price: The pricing for this service vendor is equitable or less than others I priced out for the same or smaller crew.

This service was excellent. We have moved many times but have never had our items wrapped as professionally as Antonio and his group did. While they were very careful with our items, they were also very quick and did not waste any time. They had to use 3 flights of stairs to remove everything but never complained or slowed down. They would run back up the 3 flights of stairs for the next load. There attitudes were great and they had a wonderful sense of humor. I would certainly use them again and would recommend them to anyone who is particular about how their items are handled. Before choosing this company, I had read many reviews re College Hunks and 2 men etc. and was concerned with their reviews. Georgia Pack and Store had very good reviews and now I am adding mine. Request Antonio and you will be really pleased. Although, I am sure their other crews are just as good.

This was our second move in 6 months, so we were able to keenly see the difference in an excellent moving company and a mediocre at best moving company. Georgia Pack & Load was an excellent moving company. First and best, the team of five was professional, but fun. They were punctual and used the time extremely well while maintaining a lighthearted atmosphere. We had minimized unpacking from our interstate move last summer and the guys were able to pack up our apartment, load up the bulk of the furniture in strorage, and get us completely set up in the new house in one day without a single item being damaged! The way they wrapped all our furniture and handled it was amazing. They even tactfully noted poor wrapping on the items in storage and corrected it before loading them on the truck. Our first move resulted in a lot of damage from furniture to furniture contact with no protection. Not the case at all with Georgia Pack & Load. I cannot stress enough how careful these guys were with our household contents and house or how they had just the right balance of good-spirited professionalism while seeing everything you own. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a move.

I found GP&L on Angie's List and was pleased I did. They had great reviews and believe me, I did my reseaech. I called the office, I talked to Sarah. She was exceptionally nice and answered every question I asked. I was glad I had the opportunity to talk to her, as she was very very helpful. I bought the coupon on Angie's list for three hours for a three man crew and paid in advance. Crew showed up on time and introduce themselves. They instantly got to work, inventorying everything, and started wrapping all of the furniture and getting it loaded onto the truck. I think they only took a five-minute break the entire three hours that they were there loading the truck. I am having all of my belongings stored at their storage facility until I can figure out what my next location is now that I have sold my house. This is extremely convenient, so I don't have to hurry up and try and figure out what I'm going to do with my belongings. Please note that if you get the three-guys-for-three-hours deal.....that's great. However, once they leave your driveway, they then have to take their truck (loaded with all of your belongings) and then go back to their warehouse and unload their truck and load up all of the crates. Then they have to move the crates into their warehouse where they will be stored. This is additional time and man-hours which you will be then be charged for. Sounds like a big huge "duh" but in my excessive tiredness of moving, I didn't think of it in advance. So I am telling you that here. The only less-than-glowing comments that I would make on anything of concern that happened would be that when the movers arrived and they started to need me to sign the paperwork as far as the bill went, they were very confused when I said that I had purchased the deal on Angie's list and have already prepaid for it. He was expecting me to give him a check or give him my credit card number for that days work, and so there was some sort of disconnect there between what he was told and what the office should have told him. It wasn't that big of a deal but it was just a little odd. Then, when the movers have the truck loaded and were about to leave, they said that my belongings would fill 2 1/2 crates or MAYBE 3 crates. So that is what I planned on paying a monthly basis of storage fees. Then on Monday morning when the office reopened, I got a call and said that it it actually taken five crates to store all of my stuff. Again, it's not that big of a deal, it's a difference of $80 a month. But the disconnect was just a little odd to have their estimate be that far off for professionals that do this every single day. And last but not least, I realize this is just a petty little hangup of mine, but when the workers arrived, they had a piece of paper which was a letter of sorts from I believe it was the owner of GP&L. It was advice for clients on if you should tip your movers or not. I didn't have a problem with that as it is probably a common question....so, I thought that having the paper was good and practical. However, the guy I was working with made sure to say (at least twice) that I should take time to read that letter. I was definitely planning on tipping them anyway, as I know how hard movers work. It is a very labor-intensive job, obviously. So at the end, when we were settling the bill, I brought out my checkbook and wrote a check for the gratuity and handed it to him and he did not even acknowledge it. No "thank you", no "that's nice", no "okay", nothing. So even though the latter said that "Tipping your movers is definitely not expected", clearly my movers thought it certainly was expected and therefore it was not even worth an acknowledgment nor a thank you. Annoying. Regardless of this - I still think they did do a great job, and I would definitely use them again. And I would recommend GP&L to other people.

It was good. Scheduling them to come out was easy. They came on time, they charged what they said they were going to charge and they worked well. The staff were friendly and they worked hard. They had to go over like an hour or so, so there was an extra charge. It was overall a good experience.

It went very well, they were punctual and efficient. They came with more than enough supplies and equipment to do the job. I would use them again in the future.

Everything was good. The owner came out and give me an estimate. The price was good. Better than a larger more impersonal national firm that I also got a quote from. I waited a long time between the quote and when I actually moved and the scheduler emailed me a reminder periodically to see if I was ready to move. After deciding to move the packers came and spent most of a day packing my stuff, meticulously. They did a good job packing and were very sensitive to my needs. The movers came in the next day, disassembled my furniture and loaded the truck professionally and quickly. The next day we unloaded in Ohio. Again the unloading process went as smoothly as possible and they were easy to work with. I'm pleased with Georgia Pack and Load!

Excellent service. We had to change our date and they worked with us. The packers were thoughtful of our household goods and furniture. The movers were amazing. Everyone worked hard and stayed on task. We could not be more pleased with Jude. He had excellent customer service. He was just wonderful to work with. He was extremely competent and clearly knew what he was doing. I would definitely refer him to anyone. The rest of the crew was great as well. They were professional and a pleasure to work with.

They did an absolutely perfect job. They were on time, were extremely careful moving my things and gave me a guaranteed price up front. Can't say enough good things about them.

They we so professional, so responsive, and very respectful of these sentimental items. Their price was competitive and they just made me feel like I was making the best choice from afar. While we were at their warehouse dividing up the goods, we had a very nice young man help us move the heavier items, folks kept asking if we were doing okay, we even had to ask when they closed because it was getting quiet around there and i had to ask - "do you close when we leave?" Because they clearly weren't going to tell us they were closing - recognizing we were still working through things. Fantastic experience overall. Doing all of this during a hard time from a different city - I couldn't have imagined it going any better - and I tend to have high expectations. I highly recommend them.

From the pleasant people who scheduled this with me, to the movers, this provider was awesome. The four gentlemen were hard working, fast, courteous and professional. They had some challenges with the size of some of the pieces of furniture, but they knew how to solve the issues, and worked so hard to protect the belongings. I started with the more well known movers, but luckily they were booked and I used Angie's List to find this company. I am so glad I did. It was a great experience with them. I am grateful.

Excellent! They were prompt and professional. The took extra care in packing and transporting the table. The table probably weighed over 300 lbs. This was just a small job, moving this one item across town, but I would use them for a larger job in the future.

As far as we know so far (with what has been unpacked), all items that were moved, remained in prior condition. No walls were scratched that we've seen so far. They took longer than we thought it would take but ultimately came to agreement with manager on appropriate time. The movers were polite. Their home office people were professional and courteous. And ultimately they made me the customer satisfied. Suggestion to potential customers....either decide that all furniture will be shrink wrapped or none of it. They won't wrap just certain furniture and not others. Wrapping adds time on front end and back end. If you're stuff is valuable enough, then by all means, have them wrap it but suggest adding another 1-2 hours to wrap and unwrap.

Called to confirm day before and called morning of move to give ETA. arrived on time. Packaged items and packed truck carefully. no damage. constantly refused to let me move anything, even stuff I was taking to my car. Personable, polite, worked hard in heat. Asked where I wanted everything placed in new house, tried hard to please. Took no breaks during the 9 hours, so I bought them Chik-Fil-A and tipped $30 each, even though owner passed out a sheet saying it was not mandatory. Only issue was everything would not fit on 24' truck, had to come back next day and get leftovers, not sure it's possible to know in advance everything will fit for sure, did not hold that against the company,

I called on Monday, 10-6-2014 to schedule labor help only ( no need to load / unload their truck to transport to another location ). We unloaded two moving / storage containers that we used to transport our belongings from Southern California to Cumming, Georgia. Our requested date was for Wednesday, 10-8-2014. They were scheduled to arrive at around 9:30 AM, but we were concerned with the unexpected rain damaging our stuff. We called them immediately that morning to see if we could reschedule for a couple hours later the same day, after the rain was predicted to pass. They were more than willing to accommodate us and arrived two hours later, at 11:30 AM, per our request. Upon their arrival, they introduced themselves, always being very courteous. We explained that the house we are moving into is undergoing major renovations, and our furniture and bedding will need to be placed / set up in the basement as our temporary living space. They were always very careful with our belongings, and took great care protecting the floors with their rolls, included in the price - no extra charges. We chose to use Georgia Pack & Move due to their close proximity to our property, competitive pricing, AARP senior discount offered, availability, and of course, their great reviews. We have two additional storage containers that need to be unloaded , once our renovations are complete, which will require future unload / set-up services once again. We will certainly call on Georgia Pack and Move to help us when we're ready! * Bruce in the office, and the muscle - mover crew: Jude, Shahee, and Tramaine were all wonderful... THANK YOU!! * The only thing that could have been better was the communication between the office and the muscle- mover crew. The crew was not aware they were to unload only - no need for the truck. I made it very clear to Bruce when scheduling, to the woman who called to confirm our move, and when we called the morning of our move regarding the rain. Better communication between office and crew is an area that needs obvious improvement. It didn't affect me in price, but it was a waste of gas driving a big truck that was not needed ( not very green / earth - friendly ), and was tight on parking with my renovation crew, other cars in the neighborhood, including the cars belonging to my family. Bruce was timely in returning my calls and he and JR were both very courteous on the phone. The crew they sent was amazing - well worth what I paid and then some! Deion, Cook, Marvin, and Rohan moved belongings in and out of storage, onto a truck, and then loaded more things from my home and unloaded everything at my new place. They were courteous, professional, and hard-working the entire time. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided, especially after so many other moving companies said they couldn't do the job I needed done!
