I was looking for a company that could do Hardiplank siding as well as replacement windows and gutters. Arnie Conman, the owner, came out and met with me and went over the whole process and demonstrated how the windows worked. We met one other time to look at a sample of the gutters and to give him my paint colors. It took a couple of weeks to get the material. Arnie took care of getting the permit for the siding work. The main part of the work was done over the course of about 10 days. The windows were replaced first (8 windows), then the siding, then the gutters. This took about a week. There were only minor punch list items on the siding that were promptly corrected. The painting was done the following week, delayed because of rain. I was so pleased with the windows that I subsequently had 6 more windows replaced. I did not have to hand-hold the workers. Most of the work was done while I was at work. I was at home for the windows but they were done on a weekend.

Superb! I was a 75 year old fussy do-it-yourselfer when this project was done late in 2006 and this was my first attempt to hire a contractor to do a job I had earlier intended to do myself. I had an image of a lot of bad players in the siding business and experienced a few in the bidding process for this project. ("Crooks", sums it up well!) Then along came Arnie Conman, whose ad in a local newspaper I responded to. I lucked out! Great salesmanship, great price, superb crafmanship, great scheduling, great site cleanup ... what else can you ask for? Do you need Hardiboard siding on your house? Call Arnie!

They were just great. The job they did looked excellent. They were very reliable and they fixed any problems that I noticed with no questions asked. I would definitely use them again.

When we noticed our siding starting to rot we called four siding companies. Arnie at Siding Unlimited stood out from the crowd. His price came in right (not the highest, not the lowest) and he educated us on why we needed to replace the siding and not just repair it. His crew was out within a week and they were done with the project in four business days. Great job Siding Unlimited!

Arnie, the owner was friendly and very professional. Everything he said or claimed he would do was done. The crew worked from early morning till after dark each day. They cleaned everything up at the end of each day. Our 30 year old home is now much more energy efficient and has a totally new look. We would highly recommend them.

FROM THE BEGINNING MR. CONMEN BENT OVER BACKWARDS THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS TO ENSURE I WAS SATISFIED. STILL, MY EXPERIENCE WAS MIXED. MR. CONMEN USED BRAZILIAN WORKERS WHOM HE SUBCONTRACTED FROM SOMEONE ELSE. INITIAL WORK QUALITY WAS UNSATISFACTORY IN SEVERAL PLACES (E.G., LARGE GAPS BETWEEN ENDS OF SIDING & CORNER OF HOUSE OR SIDE OF WINDOW; SIDING NOT CUT SQUARE ON ENDS; TRIM NOT PREPPED WELL [OR AT ALL] BEFORE PAINTING). I POINTED THESE OUT TO MR. CONMEN, WHO IMMEDIATELY HAD HIS WORKERS FIX THEM. MOST FIXES WERE QUITE ACCEPTABLE. HOWEVER (MEA CULPA), I DID NOT THOROUGHLY EXAMINE THE WORK BEFORE SIGNING OFF ON IT (PARTICULARLY SOME TRIM WHICH I COULDN'T EASILY ACCESS), AND LATER DISCOVERED A NUMBER OF OTHER ITEMS - MOSTLY TRIM - THAT WERE VERY POORLY DONE. WHILE MR. CONMEN WAS SINCERELY INTENT UPON FIXING EVERYTHING THAT I PERSONALLY FOUND, THE INITIAL QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS SUCH THAT I WOULD HESITATE TO CONTRACT WITH HIM AGAIN. I PREFER QUALITY THE FIRST TIME.
