We had a spout in the shower where the water comes out. The copper pipe that comes out had sprung a leak. They went in, took the old pipe out and put a new pipe in. They were very good. The guy who came out was quite competent. He knew immediately what the problem was. He was right upfront about the pricing on it. He was very friendly. He did the work very professionally. When he left, the job was done right. He did not waste his time. On the courtesy level, I remember that he put footies on his shoes so that they would not track dirt into the house. It showed that he was considerate of my home. He was here when he said he would be. They were responsive. They made a commitment and honored it. The professionalism was good. It was a good experience.

Everything went great. The plumber is a very nice person, very down-to-earth. My basement was a mess but he didn't make me feel bad about it. The installation was really fast. He made a recommendation about the water temp setting and he was spot-on. You can talk to him like a regular person. You can ask questions about another job without him getting mad. The water heater has been installed for over 3 months now and we have had no problems whatsoever. I would use Plumbpros again. I would recommend them to everyone. They only sell Rheem water heaters because he says they never get a call-back on them. It is the right water heater for us. We got estimates on tankless and on other brands with more features, but Rheem was the right choice for us. We wanted a good water heater, not one from the big-box stores. Although I think they would install any water heater for you if you asked.
Description of Work: Installed a water heater. Removed old water heater.

When we called Plumbpros, the dispatcher told us that although they usually sent someone out the same day as the call, they would not be able to send someone out until the next day, Friday. A technician arrived around 2:30 on Friday. After a quick look, he determined that the water heater had been submerged in water and told us that he would have to call the Bosch technical support line to find out how to service the unit. He warned us that once he called he would start the clock on the service call, which was a jaw-dropping $232.00 an hour. He recommended we just go ahead and replace the unit because it would probably be less expensive than trying to fix it. Tankless water heaters run upwards of $1000.00 and this unit was less than five years old, so we were hesitant. The technician seemed irritated and impatient that we had more questions and wanted to weigh our options. We were heading out of town later that evening, so instead of deciding what to do then and there we made an appointment for the following Friday. We rearranged our work schedules so that we could be there for the appointment. The next Friday we got a call from the Plumbpro dispatcher telling us that they were bumping us from the schedule because another customer had an emergency. She told us that someone would come the next day, Saturday, though the Bosch tech support line was closed on Saturdays but all the plumbing supply houses were open so the plumber would be able to get whatever parts he needed to repair our water heater. Since I work by appointment and had to cancel several clients to wait for them, this was not only an inconvenience but also a loss of income for no reason. On Saturday, a different technician showed up. He told us that he had been trained in four different brands of tankless water heaters but not Bosch. He asked for the operating manual and went to look at the unit. When he came back up from the basement, he said he could guess at two parts that could have caused the problem but as far as he could tell the rest of the unit was in good shape and since it was new he would not recommend replacing it. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do about it since, regardless of what their dispatcher had told us the day before, all the plumbing supply houses were closed on Saturdays and he would not be able to get the needed parts. He told us that he would call Bosch first thing Monday morning and get back to us ASAP. Once again we rearranged work schedules for Monday. After 9:30 a.m. on Monday with no word from Plumbpro, we called them. The dispatcher told us that technician #2 was not working that day because he had been on call over the weekend, so she was going to send technician #1, the impatient one who recommended we replace the water heater. She told us he would call and tell us when he was on his way. By now we were fed up. In all this time, the only thing we had gotten from Plumbpros was the run-around and we had no faith in the first technician at all. We cancelled the call and went back to Angie's List to find another plumber. The second company we called told us that while they did install and service tankless water heaters, they weren't trained in servicing Bosch. But they gave us excellent advice. They suggested that we go to the website and find a certified Bosch technician, which we now know to do in the future. We found a certified technician who came out that very day, had all the parts he needed in his truck, and in a matter of minutes had the unit in working condition! And, at a fraction of the price that Plumbpros quoted us!!! Not only did he restore water to us after ten days of waiting around for Plumpros to deliver, he also stayed around and gave us a lesson about how Bosch water heaters worked and how to make them more efficient. He suggested we insulate the pipes and told us that in spite of what the Plumbpro plumbers told us, recirculating units will not work with tankless water heaters and installing one would be a waste of money. Later that day I got a message from Michael Jordan, the owner of Plumbpros. To his credit, he was calling not only to apologize but also to ask for feedback so that they would be able to use this situation as a learning experience. I called him back the next day and told him that I would have had great respect for them if they had admitted that they had no experience with Bosch water heaters and had given the same advice as the second company we called. I thought that showed great integrity, honesty and good customer service. I suggested they list the names of the brands they service so that Plumbpro and their customers wouldn't have to waste time and money on call. Mr. Jordan apologized and hinted that he was sending us something "not to compensate" but as a token of his profound disappointment at not delivering good service. My feeling about Plumbpros is that they are a very small company that probably does deliver most of the time, but are easily overwhelmed by too many calls all at once. Even so, for a company that size, there seemed to be a very high degree of miscommunication among the dispatchers and the technicians, and among the technicians themselves. A few days later, a letter of apology came in the mail from Plumbpros. Enclosed was a free one year service agreement and two $25.00 referral coupons to pass along to friends and family. That was his attempt at redeeming his company! It would have been laughable if it wasn't so insulting. After giving us terrible and contradictory advice about replacing our water heater, bumping us from the schedule to service another customer, causing us to miss several days of work and loss of income, not to mention the inconvenience of being without hot water for days, why would we ever consider calling them back? Much less, subject our family and friends to possibly similar service! What a joke!
Description of Work: We called Plumbpros based on their high ratings on Angie's List and because their website stated that they serviced and installed tankless water heaters. Our tankless water heater stopped working after a particularly hard rain and power outage in our home.

Response from Plumbpros Plumbing Co
There was a break down in communication on this job and it is very unfortunate. We have made changes to prevent this type of problem in the future. We strive for excellence on every job. We do not "bump" customers for others. If our technicians can not leave a job because they are restoring water to a customer's home there could be a conflict in scheduling, just like with any other company. These reviews help us to better our company. This was a very rare occurrence for our company (please see other reviews).

My first plumber wanted to replace the whole spicket due to its leaking. Michael requested to check it out first. He brought out his tools and tightened the bolt. He said "that was it!" My spicket was fixed and I saved hundreds of dollars. That's honesty and professionalism! It's rare these days to find a plumber whom you can trust. I have found that plumber.
Description of Work: Michael came out to my house and repaired an outside spicket, that another plumber said would cost hundreds of dollars to replace. Michael simply tightened the nut and BOOM --- it was fixed! He also replaced a large water filter for me.

I've lived with minimal hot water for some time now. I knew there was a problem with my hot water heater, but I did not want to call out and pay for a plumber, so I've been roughing it. Last night, though, the garbage disposal made some very horrible noises and then ceased working. This is one thing I would find hard to live without. So, today I looked for a plumber on Angie's list. I chose PlumbPros because of the ratings they've received and because of their proximity. The initial call went well. The receptionist took all my information and asked if a window of 11 - 1 TODAY would work. I was delighted to get such a prompt response. I met the technician, Todd, at my home. He took care to put on shoe covers before entering. He explained the pricing system to me and told me that if the job conditions changed, that is, if the scope got larger or parts had to be replaced he would stop and back out of what he was doing and we'd cover any price changes that would result. He was able to unclog the garbage disposal immediately. (Note to self - no more olive pits in the GD!) He then went down and tested the water heater elements and found that the bottom element was no good. True to his word, he stopped and we discussed what the price would now be, with parts and the additional time/labor to drain the hot water tank. Once it was drained, Todd replaced the element quickly, wrote up the bill for the price we'd discussed, and was on his way. he was very polite, professional, and thorough throughout the process. As a matter of fact, he did a plumbing inspection of my home while waiting for the tank to empty! I was very happy with this service and would recommend PlumbPros to anyone.

I thought that they were very polite and responsive. The way that the situation was set up for the dryer was very convoluting which is why I needed to call a plumber. He hooked everything up for the gas correctly, however he missed the mister feature. I called him back when I discovered it and he was very apologetic about missing it. He said that they do not normally hook up dryers so he came back out and fixed it for free. It was unfortunate that he missed that, however I completely understood it so I would give him an A for his services. I liked working with them so I called them back again! I thought that the price was reasonable for the work.

A screeching sound in the water pipes was quickly diagnosed as too much water pressure coming from the street (130 P.S.I.). The existing pressure reduction valve was thirteen years old and was worn out. Within a couple of days the plumber returned and carefully replaced the valve. He was very careful not to spill water at the work sight by using a wet/dry vacuum to catch water that escaped when the pipe was cut. The plumber was friendly and answered my questions patiently. His craftsmanship was excellent.
Description of Work: Replaced the pressure reduction valve on the main water line in the basement.

It went great! Todd came out right on time, even though I'd made the appointment two weeks in advance. He quickly spotted that most of the water damage was very old and dried up. When I pointed out that my master bath faucet was leaky, he discovered quickly that in order to make repairs I'd need to coordinate water shut off to the entire building - 8 condo units in all. He wasn't there very long, but did a lot. He was quick and very professional.
Description of Work: I needed an estimate for some ceiling discoloration / water damage found by a prospective buyer's home inspector. Todd advised me that most of it was just evidence of an old no longer active leak. He was able to tell that the only active moisture damage was due to a leaky shower from the unit upstairs, confirming for me that my repair expenses will be very low.

They are good. They come out right when I call them. They do a good job, and they don't charge a lot of money. They charge a sufficient amount. They get the job done and it is fixed the first time, every time. Their price was reasonable because he had to go in the crawlspace to check out the leak and then basically rebuild the guts and water hosing of an old toilet. They show up when they say they will. They come in, asks where the problem is, and goes right to work.
Description of Work: I have used Plumbpros twice. They fixed a huge valve leak in the main drain line and also a leaking toilet within about six months of each other. I am trying to restore my mother's 40 year old home, so things like that break down.

The plumber who arrived to do the work was skilled and energetic. He worked diligently through the various jobs, cleaning up carefully after himself. He was friendly, answering most questions fully and cheerfully. When it turned out that one of the cabinet sinks that I had purchased had a broken top the plumber volunteered to help me return it to the Home Depot, helping to carry and load and unload the broken and the replacement sinks. His craftsmanship was excellent

I was able to email the company a question to see if I needed a plumber or if it was a different problem. They were prompt in response to my email and requested I call for an appointment if I would like them to complete the work. (My guest shower did not have cold water, just hot) They scheduled me for a two hour window the next day and called me 45 min ahead to let me know when they would arrive. The tech was able to immediatly identify the problem, remove the broken piece and went to home depot to pick up the replacement part. He completed the work in about an hour and a half, showed me the reciept for the part and charged me that price (no mark-up) along with the serviec fee and gave me a discount for being an Angie's List member. Overall it went very well. He even checked a loose connection on my washer for no charge. I'm very satisfied with the service. The tech even wore booties over his shoes to protect my floors. The charge was a little higher than his estimate, but only because of the cost of the part at Home Depot.

I called at 10am and was able to schedule a 3pm-5pm window for the same afternoon. The plumber was running a bit late but called and kept us informed. He showed up around 5:15pm and offered 2 options to fix the problem. It took him about 90 minutes to make the repair. He was very courteous and professional. I felt the price was a bit steep, but not out of line. Definitely recommended.

I was greeted by Charles with a friendly smile and southern manners. After a quick assessment of our issue(s) he began work with my 5 year old. Charles was so attentive and friendly to my little guy and his thousands questions. I was very happy with Charles' warm personality as well as the work performed.
Description of Work: Not exactly sure, just had Charles speak with my husband over the phone about the problem. I believe he replaced the water bibb in our outdoor faucet because it was leaking and repaired/replaced a hole in a pipe in our crawl space because it was also leaking. Water heaters went out in two rental homes within a couple of weeks of one another. On the first one, Plumbpros had someone out there the same day and he worked into the early evening to finish. It was a difficult attic installation, but the work was completely very professionally. The second one was an electric water heater and was a simpler installation, and it was again a very professional job. I've been so pleased with Plumbpros that I just scheduled them for another job with a slow-draining toilet. (I only gave them a B on price -- I think their prices are fair, but I only give an A on price if I think it's significantly lower than the competition.)

When the plumber arrived, he informed me that I would not need to replace the washing machine valve because he could rebuild it with new parts. This saved me a little money, but still cost about $150 for both valves. He also had to replace two main shutoff valves in the basement which had become defective and were starting to leak. He charged $100 for each of those valves. The job took him about 1.5 - 2 hours and everything seems to be fine now. I got $20 off my final bill with the Angies List coupon.
Description of Work: I wanted to have a washing machine fill valve replaced because it had a slow leak. I planned on doing it myself, but when I turned off the main water supply, that valve broke and started leaking a lot, so I decided to get a professional. Plumbpros was able to send somebody the same day. I probably called around 10:00AM and they gave me an appointment window of 1 - 3PM.

All went as hoped. There had been other plumbers in the past who when asked for a solution to the hot water problem either did not know or said the fixing of the problem would be too extensive and too expensive, dismissing the matter out of hand. Alex of Plumbpros had the answer and went to the supply house for the parts and did the inatallation the same day. The hot water now works like a charm.
Description of Work: Had a leaking commode repaired and re-seated, and had a pump mechanism installed in the water heater to provide faster availability of hot water to the entire house. In the past when waiting for the water to run hot you were tempted to go for a cup of coffee, for as long as it took.

The technician called ahead of time to give me a 20 minute warning of arrival. He was very professional and courteous, even took off his shoes before coming inside. He listened carefully to my description of the problem and got to work. 1-1/2 hrs later, he was done. He pointed out a problem with the slope of the piping that I had not noticed before which likely contributed to the blockage. He provided a quote to make the correction which I declined for the time being. The $305 cost to clear the blockage was higher than I expected. He gave me the $305 price before he started so I could have declined, but I didn't want to have to start over with another company. Having worked in the construction industry for the last 30 yrs, I had a feel for what it should cost and felt that $200 would have been fair. Keep in mind, the area he had to work in was clean, very easily accessible and well lit. It was my choice to use them even after knowing the cost, so I cannot blame anyone here. The flip side is that I could have chosen a less expensive plumber and received poor service and been unhappy with the results.
