Bob showed up on time and was able to do a complete toilet upgrade in just a couple of hours. He did have to make one run back to the shop for a proper toilet tank to bowl gasket. Very nice people to do business with, he even put on some protective booties to protect our new floors!
Description of Work: Replaced a broken toilet fill valve with a solid brass fill/shut off valve. Previous plastic shut off valve had burst and flooded lower level of home. Professional replacement with brass valve to avoid this issue in the future. Brass valve was only $20 more than plastic.

They arrived originally on a weekend to provide an estimate and then showed up at the agreed upon time/date to perform the work. The price was very reasonable compared to the other quotes we got. We have alot of nice landscaping in the yard where the work was being done. They were very careful not to disturb anything other than what was absolutely necessary. They even were able to tunnel under a stone wall that would have been very difficult to replace. They said that they would be in and out in a day and they were. Very professional.. If you have a big project to do like this, it is nice to have someone that really knows what they are doing. We would definitely use them again and recommend them. Note: we have also used them for smaller jobs with similar results.

I had them come out for an estimate on Saturday morning. I wanted a larger water heater to replace the failing unit that came with the house originally. Plumbro's had good reviews here and I liked the fact that they were a smaller outfit (only 4 or 5 trucks I think). They ended up coming earlier than the scheduled window but only after they checked with me to see if that was okay, which it was (preferred actually). Terry (spelling?) showed up and allowed me to explain what I would like to have done. I was worried that sagging plywood that the original water heater was installed on would need to be fortified or replaced and that would be costly. Terry looked at it and agreed with me that the plywood base should be reinforced regardless of what size water heater I chose. I asked him to write up the total cost of everything and he gave me a very good price. The price was about equal to what I was quoted by others over the phone plus he said he would throw in the extra reinforcement work for free. I was happy with the price and with the way Terry conducted himself. I was also very pleased to be able to get the work done that day. Some other companies didn't work weekends or charged extra. I said lets go for it and he told me he'd need to swing by Home Depot for some building supplies and then their warehouse to get the heater. He returned in about an hour and got to work. He had no problem letting me watch him work and even showed me his handy work with the reinforcement studs. I will tell you that I am as picky as it gets when people are working on my house, I am an engineer by trade and am very detailed. I was impressed with the job he did reinforcing the plywood from underneath. He then finished off the water heater and the final product looks excellent and works even better! I was stressed about having plumbing work done as I am a new homeowner and generally prefer to do work myself when it comes to my own home or car. Terry took a good 3-4 hours getting everything right and I couldn't be happier. Oh, and I should mention that after he finished I asked him to take a look at our guest shower. The faucet had been operating incorrectly since we moved in. He unscrewed it and fixed it in about 30 seconds, now it's perfect! He did this just to be nice, no charge! I singed up for Angieslist just to look at plumbers and I'm glad I did. I will keep this membership as I definitely think it's worth the money. I don't usually write reviews but I feel this site truly helps people in their decisions so I wanted to be thorough with this review. I hope everyone has the same great experience with Plumbpro's as I did!
Description of Work: New water heater installed with added expansion tank. It was an upgrade from a 40gal to 50gal. Custom work was needed to reinforce the built in cubby in my garage to handle the extra weight.

We called on a Saturday afternoon, and Bill came out on Monday. He checked the pressure coming in from the street and the hot water heater. He took apart the pressure balance valves and found a significant amount of debris in them. He cleaned them and checked the other bathrooms and laundry to ensure the the "fix" was appropriate and successful. Bill was very nice, knowledgeable, prompt, and professional. He did a great job!

Caleb arrived within the scheduled time and also gave us a call to let us know when he was on his way. When we originally made the appointment, we only planned on replacing the drain stopper in one tub, but after Caleb arrived, we decided to replace the 20-year-old stoppers in all three tubs. He did an excellent job and we will be using this company again in the very near future with another project. Everything was neat and tidy when he left.

I got Plumbpros name from Angie's list and a coupon for $20 off first service. Within 30 minutes of calling they sent someone over. He was professional and very nice. He replaced all parts, explaining what was needed every step of the way and why within 3 hours. I no longer have high pitched squeals, thumps and bumps coming out of the pipes!

The person that I purchased my home from 7 years ago did most of his own renovation work. Not being a professional plumber himself, there have been issues from the beginning. When it came time to replace my water heater, I used Plumbpros. The tech who responded (within 2 hours as promised) - identified several substantial code issues that were lacking from the original installation. He not only upgraded the code issues and installed the water heater within 4 hours, but did so in a very friendly & professional manner. Considering the amount of work he did within a very reasonable time frame I was satisfied with the job's cost.

The project began as planned at 8 a.m. with draining of vault and turning off water at 9 a.m. Half way through the project, the valve on the county's hook up to the main in the street blew out. Plumbpro immediately called the county who dispatched a supervisor to assess the problem and initiate repair of the valve. Work on the HOA valve had to be suspended until the county's valve was replaced. Plumpro staff stayed on the job throughout the entire process until both valves were replaced and the water was able to be turned on - that is until 1:30 a.m. the next morning! They came back at 10 a.m. to assure all was a-ok and to clean up. They also provided assistance to a couple of units where water flow was impeded when water was turned back on. Plumbpro did an excellent job of working with the county to get the entire process done correctly. They did add $800 to the original $1970 estimate ($2129 less $150 assess fee.) However, considering the length of time and commitment to quality, the HOA was more than ok with the cost.
Description of Work: The county discovered that the main HOA valve connected to county water source was leaking and needed to be repaired or replaced. Plumbpro rep came immediately to assess the problem and provided us the next day with a quote for replacement of the valve. ($150 fee was credited toward final amount owed.) The company worked with HOA to lay out a plan for quick and efficient replacement as water to all 19 units would be turned off during the process. Work was estimated to take 4 hours; Work was scheduled for a Tuesday to avoid negative impact on weekend activities. Communication to residents included advice to have water supply for at least 8 hours and to not run water until given ok that project was completed.

This is the second time I've used Plumbpros. Both times Terry did the work and I was really pleased. He came when he said he would (and called in advance) and cleaned up well. Price was quoted before the work was done. Terry carefully checked each part of each fixture to make sure there were no problems before he installed them. It turned out that the countertop holes needed to be enlarged so the new faucets would fit and Terry took care of that as well. The only comparison for pricing I have is what Home Depot says it charges to install a replacement toilet. Obviously, Plumbpros was more expensive, but I know the work is guaranteed and was done by a licensed plumber as opposed to a handyman and if I have any problems, I am dealing directly with the company.
Description of Work: 3 sink faucets replaced and one toilet replaced. I already had the new fixtures. I previously used Plumbpros to fix a leak under my kitchen sink.

I was complaining because the hot water flow was very slow, another plumber said you couldn't do much about it but Plumpros said there was. They said there is a pump made for it to hook up so I got it and he hooked it up and it works fine. He was the third person and he was able to come up with a solution to the problem. I used them once or twice before so I know them and they've always been very helpful and quick on responding. They have been very fair. They are very good at what they do.

I called at 10:00 and despite the problem not being an emergency someone was at my house in around 30 minutes. He spent about 15 minutes examining the pipes and then provided me with an estimate. Once I accepted he drove to the store to get a part that he didn't have. When he returned the he quickly completed the work. I was very impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism and would definitely use them again.

Very courteous, punctual, professional. FREE estimate, and no hard sell when I declined to use their services. The downside was that I was quoted $210 (marked down to $160 with a coupon) for a service I managed to perform myself with Google, a wet vac, and an alan wrench. Would definitely call them out for service if I knew it was a job I couldn't handle myself.

Response from Plumbpros Plumbing Co
Thank you for allowing us to quote you a price for your plumbing project. I do not understand however why we would receive a bad review for quoting you a price to repair the job. Did you compare our price to other companies? If not than how would we know that isn't the going rate to make a repair of this sort? We try our very best to keep our prices competitive with other companies. The service we offer is far better than that of all other companies. Included in the price for your job was a full service of the unit to ensure it's proper function for years to come. Thanks again, Mike

Everything is explained in my above comments.
Description of Work: I had a leak for the first time with my kitchen sink which is almost 10 years old and I've never had any problems with it. All of a sudden my daughter told me that there was a pool of water on our hardwood floors. I had used the sink earlier in the day briefly but didn't notice anything unusual until she notified me. I immediately stopped the water by turning the three wheels under the kitchen sink and finally the last one made the leaking stop. I then cleaned up all of the water in the cabinet and on the floor. I called the next day after researching a few of Angie's list plumbers and decided to just call PlumbPros since they didn't have service call fees and I saw that a few customers didn't really have major problems and were only charged $40. Several people mentioned that they give advice and quotes and will do only what you ask and make recommendations. They were able to send someone out the next day. I also mentioned that I had a bathroom faucet that was loose. The owner told me to just tell Caleb who would be coming to my house any issues that I wanted hime to take care of. This included a toilet that made running sounds on rare occasions. When Caleb first got to my home and assessed the situation, he couldn't recreate the major leaking and flood of water that I had before by trying a few things to make it leak again. It was frustrating knowing that I had someone there to fix it and I didn't want to have an incident where my house flooded if I wasn't home and trusted the sink again. Finally, he noticed that the supply lines were leaking but couldn't see that the faucet was leaking. It was a simple fix for the faucet handle and he explained and showed me how to do it in the future if it happened somewhere else in the house. He needed to get a new flapper for the toilet issue. He went to check his truck for these items and realized that he didn't have them and needed to go get them. He asked if that was okay and if I had the time. I definitely did and he left to get those items. While he was gone, I continued to run the water about three or four times hoping that it would leak by the time he got back. Luckily, it did start to leak where the faucet is connected. He replaced the flapper and the supply lines and then told me that I needed to get a sink of my choice. We went to Home Depot and he explained that he could install any unit that I liked even if it wasn't the same solid base faucet and had the individual three to four items for the kitchen sink. I chose one that matched my appliances and cabinets. Once he replaced three of the items on the faucet, I didn't like the appearance of having 3 black items for the faucet and then a white item for the reverse osmosis water filtration system that I had originally installed when we built the house. I had initially used the unit and then I could no longer replace the filters on my own without called a plumber out. I eventually just decided it wasn't worth the expense and wanted him to remove the reverse osmosis system so that the soap dispenser could be installed and have a uniform appearance in the kitchen. He was able to install the new sink on the first day but regulations require that he had to cut the pipe and remove the old connection to the filter system. He promised to come back the next day for this portion of the service. So the fixing of the faucet handle, running toilet, installation of new supply lines and sink were a charge of $439. Unfortunately, the charge for the removal of the filtration system and all of the work that comes with it including shutting off the water and cutting and redoing the pipe ran $335. I honestly didn't really like that price but if we ever sell the home, it will have a uniform appearance and I didn't want any future leaks on my hardwoods that the filtration system might cause if my daughter accidentally used it and it's clogged up. I would hire them again for future work and consideration of my time and expenses.

Terry arrived at the specified time. He didn't seem bothered at all that I hadn't been home earlier (so the air conditioning wasn't on). He just said that he was used to warm weather and working outside. No big deal. I also apologized to him that my teenager had left the bathroom a total mess. Why in goodness name can she not clean up her own bathroom!? Anyway, Terry didn't seem to mind at all. He quickly diagnosed the problem with our toilet, and was honest in explaining that we didn't have a leak at all (as I had guessed). We just had a misplaced hose. Terry fixed that quickly and easily. He did suggest that because of the age of our toilets we might consider later replacing them altogether. He said it's not an emergent issue now, but looking down the road, it might be something to consider. I know in my heart that he's right. And depending on whether we sell this house (which is something that we're deciding on right now) we will be calling Terry again. I am happy with the fix that he made all for the cost of their very reasonable service charge. I only wish I'd known about them years ago when we had to pay a plumber hundreds of dollars for what was a $5.00 fix. That wouldn't have happened with PlumbPros, I'm sure.
Description of Work: Terry was wonderful. He was on time, neat, and professional. He explained the several options open to me and my situation. He didn't mind my asking questions, so I didn't feel like a "silly housewife." He even waited until I got my husband on the phone and re-explained everything that he'd just discussed with me. What a kind man. I am so happy I found them through Angie's List. Otherwise, I would have used a company we used years ago, and paid through the nose for far less service! We have found our plumbers for life. Thank you, PlumbPros...

Their representative, Todd, was prompt and polite. As he did the inspection, he explained in detail what he was finding—a leak in the main supply line somewhere in the front yard, the washer failing in the shower valve, and that the house (built in 1961) had no pressure reduction valve, resulting in higher water pressure than was good for things like washers in shower valves. He also explained what needed to be done to fix it. He found a way to fit both our repairs into the schedule on the same day and as quickly as possible—the very day after the estimate. On the day of the repairs, he and his helper were on time, friendly, efficient, explained what was happening and didn't mind questions about it (I'm a curious homeowner), left work areas clean, and really went the extra mile. I was pleased with the job at the time and am still happy with it three months later. I would definitely recommend PlumbPros, and if the need arises, will call them again myself.

They rallied and came within an hour of my call, even though it was the end of the day. They stayed until a temporary fix was in place and were back promptly the next morning for a permanent fix. They were efficient, professional, cleaned up and had the right equipment for the job - cameras, location detectors, truck-mounted cleaner, etc. Sewer backups are nasty but I was very happy with their part of the experience.
Description of Work: They fixed the main sewer line from the house to the street, it was completely blocked due to tree roots roughly 100 feet from the house. Toilets and all drains backing up in the house and onto the floor.

Arrived as scheduled. Had to go and get new disposal. Returned promptly and installed it. The service guy (Bill) then followed me to my rental home to look at a kitchen faucet that leaked. It had to be replaced as did a bath faucet at my home. I went that afternoon and purchased the faucets I wanted to get. Called their office that same afternoon and the service to complete both locations was completed by noon the very next day. Thats great service!

The whole process went as smoothly as I wanted and was completed in a very timely fashion. Everything was explained at the front end - what Terry was going to look at to determine the problem, then what the remedy would be and the cost for that. Everything was very succinctly explained by Terry and he was a true gentleman and professional.

I had them out to check on a possible leak from my washing machine and to fix a toilet. He thoroughly checked the washing machine and said it wasn't leaking. I had purchased all new parts for the toilet tank, but he told me they weren't necessary and I could return them. The toilet just needed an adjustment. In the end, he only charged me the minimum for coming to my house. I would definately use this company again and recommend them to my friends.

I had an emergency leak under kitchen sink and needed the garbage disposal fixed pronto. I called Thursday for appointment and Todd came out the very next morning. Very prompt and responsive, Todd fixed the sink quickly and even taught me a trick to fix my toilet without requiring any tools. Description of Work: We contacted PlumbPros because of low water pressure outside. They were highly rated on Angie's List so, my wife and I decided to use them. Wow! I'm glad that we did. PlumbPros definitely deserve the rating they received on Angie's List! I was impressed with their professionalism over the phone, scheduling and promptness. Mr. Todd is the best (Master Plumber)! He explained what needed to be done and did exactly what he said he would do. Thank you sir! My wife and I are extremely pleased with the work performed by Mr. Todd. We will use them again in the future. In fact, we've found our plumbing company for any household needs. This company is trustworthy, fair and worth the money! Thank you PlumbPros!!! You're simply the best!!!
