Everything went exceptionally well. Alex and his assistant were on time and got right to work. The examined everything with a fine-toothed comb. All issues were documented with photographic evidence and the report was finished later that day. The report also included a homeowner's guide for maintenance that was specific to the type of house we are buying. The report was straightforward and to the point, and the sellers agreed to all requested repairs. The experience with Hi-Tech was very positive, and I would recommend them to anyone buying a home in the Atlanta area.

Alex is an excellent choice for a home inspector. He was very professional, punctual and knowledgeable. He asked that I accompany him throughout the house so he could point out different things to me. He was very patient with my questions, answering each of them and taking the time to substantiate his point where necessary. Nothing gets past this guy. After the inspection I felt assured that I had made a good decision going with him. His fee is a little higher than others I had contacted but he was well worth it.

He was thorough, detailed about what he was doing, and knowledgeable. I felt confident of his assessment and am not worried about the house having structural or other issues now that he has inspected it and given the green light. He takes his work seriously, is very professional which we appreciate, and was great to work with. Thanks for everything, Alex!

HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! I read reviews of several home inspection companies from Angie's List and actually scheduled appointments with two of them, prior to finding HI-TECH HOME INSPECTION. There was something about both of the other two companies I was considering that made me question my decision, so I kept looking. I came across reviews for HI-TECH HOME INSPECTIONS and REALLY liked what I read. I called at 5:45p assuming I would have to leave a voicemail and Alex picked up. He was completely knowledgeable, asked so many questions about the property, was very up front on length of time and cost, and was very well versed in older homes?.which this one was. His price was more than his competitors, BUT I could tell from our conversation and his previous reviews that any money we spent on the front end with him would ultimately save us money in the future. My husband completely agreed this was the man for the job. I immediately cancelled the appointments with the other two companies I had scheduled. On the day of the inspection, he was there for 6-7 hours. He was so thorough and answered any questions we had. My realtor was very impressed with his work as well. He went through the report with us in great detail and there were a couple items he recommended having a structural engineer look at. I asked him for a referral on that and he came through equally strong in the referral department. I am completely confident that we made the right decision. It is refreshing to witness someone who really knows their craft and Alex Rosenthal does. He was a pleasure to work with! We've never paid for quality and regretted it. Hire him.

I hired Hi-Tech Home Inspections after reading several favorable reviews on Angie's List. I was completely blown away by the level of service I received. As someone who knows very little about anything regarding a house beyond its decor, I needed someone who could not only educate me about the house I intended to purchase, but also point out potential pitfalls. Alex, the owner of the company, was not only on-time and professional, he was also extremely knowledgeable. Alex spent about four hours inspecting a 1,500 sq. ft. house, pointing out areas of concern and offering seeimingly simple tips to improve specific areas of the home. I received a very detailed report, complete with pictures, which Alex went over with me after he sent the report to me. He was patient beyond measure, answering any questions that came up and even the same question a couple of times when I just didn't get it. I am still in the process of negotiating the repair amendment with the sellers of the property and Alex's report has equipped me with the detailed information - and photographic evidence! - I need to hold a strong position in the ongoing discussions with the sellers. If this review is based on five stars I would give Alex ten, and I would readily recommend him to anyone in search of a home inspector.

Alex is very knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to walk us through the issues he found and recommended ways to repair. Even several days after we received the report he took the time to answer questions in great detail. We were very pleased with the work performed and would highly recommended him to anyone that needs a home inspection done.

We decided to hire Alex with Hi-Tech Home Inspections after speaking with about 4 providers from Angie's List. We chose Alex due to his wealth of knowledge and expertise (apparent in initial phone conversation), promptness in communication, and approach to inspecting homes. He was able to schedule us within 2-3 days which allowed us plenty of time left in our due diligence period after the inspection. Alex invited and encouraged us to join him for the inspection, and my husband did attend the full inspection with him. From start to finish the inspection took more than 4 hours. During this time, Alex did everything from crawling all the way into the crawl-space, to getting onto the roof and walking around to inspect every last detail. To say he was extremely thorough would be an understatement. In addition to listing things that were apparent issues, his report included items that were not immediate issues but would likely need to be addressed in the future, items that we should request clarification on from the current home owners, and maintenance tips for the home should we decide to purchase it. Alex spent considerable time not just performing the inspection, but pointing things out to my husband, helping educate him on things about the home, and making suggestions on ways to improve the home and maintain it for years to come. The inspection allowed us to negotiated additional funds to be used for our closing costs, and helped us truly understand what we would be getting into if we were to purchase the home (which we did). Since closing, we have been using the inspection report as a "to-do" list of work for the house and Alex's information during the inspection has really helped us to prioritize the list. All in all it was a great experience working with Alex and we would highly recommend him to anyone purchasing a new home.

Alex performed a home inspection for us this week and his service was excellent. He was very flexible with dates since we had to move the inspection to a different date rather quickly. He was very professional and it was clear that he was experienced and very knowledgable. My father (mr. fix it/watches HGTV every day) was present during the inspection and he is was impressed with the Alex's service which meant a lot to me coming from him. Alex was professional, polite and made the inspection fun and informative. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone in need of a home inspection. Especially if it is an older home, as he was very knowledgable in the types of issues you should look for in an older home.

Alex inspected the house thoroughly and walk me thru the house patiently. He is with great deal of knowledge and I've learnt a lot about the house (its construction, its system and etc.) from him. It was a great experience, from the appointment to the inspection report.

I contacted Alex Wednesday after executing a contract on a condo to do a complete inspection. He scheduled to come on Friday at 10a, 7/22/11. He was equipped with a supra key to enter the property. Alex met my husband promptly and did an amazing job on the inspection from top to bottom. Checked all applieances, attic, electrical, AC, leaks and the roof. He gave details to my husband every step of the way and found a few minor items and a couple of things that we need to attend to immediately such as a cracked joist and loose floor board in the attic; a potential leak in the one of the bathrooms which he confirmed by pointing out brown stains on the ceiling of the garage downstairs underneath the bathroom. He warned that the AC needed to be serviced after checking airflow between vents and register. Unfortunately, the agent left the alarm system on but we learned the property was not being monitered and that it was left on in error. My point is that Alex was patient and very cordial in spite of the mishap. Great experience and will refer or use again.

I had been searching for a new home for some time. Over the course of about 6 months I had several homes inspected (by other companies) but for various reasons, the sales didn't pan out. When I found this home, I had to move FAST to get it. I needed an inspector who could meet me at the property within a couple of days & perform a comprehensive inspection (& subsequent re-inspection) of a 3 bed, 2 bath, 1800 sq ft home. Thankfully, Hi-Tech was able to accommodate my hectic schedule & the inspector, Alex, even arrived at the house before I did. He had a pleasant demeanor & got right to work. Cost was comparable to that of other companies I had used BUT this inspection was much more thorough. Alex went inside of, above & under places/crevices inside & outside of the home that other inspectors just peeked their flashlights at. He periodically updated me on what he found & upon completion of the inspection, he walked me through the home & showed me even the most minor of infractions. He didn't "dumb anything down" for me (a common occurrence with other inspectors) & he also provided me with helpful tips for repairs & maintenance. I had a detailed report, with photos, in hand the following day & felt completely confident in finalizing the sale of my new home later that week. I'm not sure when I may need a home inspection again but whenever I do, I certainly hope Hi-Tech is still around.

He arrived on time and inspected a home we were in the process of purchasing. We had already hired another home inspector when we hired Alex to do our stucco inspection. The home inspector we hired was fine, but if we ever need another home inspection done we will definitely hire Alex. He took us around the home and spent time explaining all his findings in details. He took his time and was very helpful. A very positive experience.

I contacted Alex from Hi-Tech Home Inspections to discuss performing my condo home inspection. From the start, he was very informative about the process and his services. In fact, he convinced me to schedule my home inspection "prior" to the Developer's first walkthrough of the condo, which in retrospect, was extremely helpful because I was armed with valuable information along with my home inspection report. Alex made the process very easy and he worked with the Operations Team to schedule the inspection. He's very thorough, appeared knowleable about the state codes and we spent two hours going through the condo. Once the inspection was completed, I received the report the very next morning via email. Alex gave me the confidence to discuss critcal issues that needed to be addressed with the Operations Team the very next day during my first walkthrough. Right now, I'm just waiting to receive the hard copy of the home inspection report from Alex through the mail. He arrived on time (actually, a few minutes early) and was prepared with paperwork and a complete explanation of the services to be performed. I was appreciative that he told me exactly what would be covered and which areas (major electrical or plumbing issues, etc.) were beyond the scope of his expertise. He pointed out spots in our masonry that were in need of repointing and found some places on the second story addition where exterior paint had peeled and dry rot was setting in. He found that the home's water pressure was too high, which could overly stress some of the plumbing and appliances. My only previous experience with home ownership was a high-rise co-op in New York (where most maintenance is handled by building staff), so I found his review of the home's systems to be extremely helpful. He gave me a number of tips to help keep a 1928 home running in good order. At the end of the inspection he gave me a summary of the things he had found that needed to be discussed with the sellers, which was followed by a detailed report (complete with photos) within 48 hours. The report was invaluable in our negotiations with the sellers. I highly recommend Hi-Tech Home Inspections to anyone purchasing a home in the Atlanta area, and particularly to anyone buying an older home.

Overall, this was a very pleasant experience. I came away with great information regarding keeping my home in tip-top shape, and do highly recommend this company.

The service was as near perfect as one could hope to get. They were early, started immediately and were professional. Had we not engaged their services we likely would have made a very unwise purchase as they discovered issues that were not immediately obvious to the casual observer. We very much appreciated their willingness to spend time explaining items as they found them. They also had a green laser pointer which was great when they were pointing out issues such as rot in the siding or poor framing in the attic. We highly recommend their services.

Overall, the experience went very well. Alex is very knowledgeable about building and construction and has a great eye for things that are wrong with a property. The pictures were very helpful. I will use him again as I continue to look at different properties to purchase.

Alex was readily available, when I contacted him, to hire him for the job. He was able to complete the job 3 days, after I first contacted him. He was always quick to call me back, when I had questions on the report. He does require an additional fee to reinspect areas, that were cited as problems. A lot of contractors include this in their price. He also needs to summarize the job, other wise you have a difficult time figuring out which items are major and which are not, although he is always available to answer questions.

We contacted Mr. Rosenthal as he was recommended by a friend of ours who had also used him. He was personable and took the time to arrange an inspection before we had to worry about the inspection window closing for our contract. He was actually early and completed the report the same day from his office, emailed it that night. We saved $1000s of dollars in negotiating based on those items he found (mostly foundation problems the sellers wanted no one to discover.)
