Andy OnCall Marietta

My experience with Andy OnCall was a great one. The office staff was very courteous, responsive, and helpful. The craftsman assigned to our project, Jeff, reached out to us and was always prompt, professional and courteous. He was consultative on the work that needed to be done, recommended the appropriate products, and even purchased the materials to complete the job. The project came in under budget/quote and was completed in a very timely manner. Jeff was flexible, great to work with, and did extremely quality work. We will certainly call upon Andy OnCall for our next home improvement projects!

Showed up on time, gave quote, started on the work. Replaced 9 wooden fence posts, plus some additional repairs. Cleaned up after the work was complete. Subtracted Angie's list coupon without having to be asked. Professional. Would use again for other handy man projects.

Great service. Quick response.

First off, the handyman that came out and that I hired, Brian, was great. However, I had responded to a coupon in the mail that was $25 any service of $100 or more labor only. The quote I received for the work was, of course, $95. I called the office and spoke to Didi Johnson, the owner. Not only was she exceptionally rude, but she was also completely unprofessional. I had suggested it a somewhat suspicious business practice that the quote(s) come in amazingly just under the qualifying discount amount, and she responded that 1) This isn't a conspiracy, and 2) She could raise the price to $120 and then give the $25 off coupon! Ridiculous. Eventually, she agreed to make the price $100 and honor the $25 off, though she was exceedingly sarcastic through the entire conversation. I then wanted to ensure that her contractor was not penalized for this, and said he wouldn't be. I said "that's good." She responded, "No, it's not good, Happy Thanksgiving." She then hung up on me. Too bad I won't use Andy OnCall again. The work done was good. But the incredibly poor service from the owner lost a customer.

. We got an estimate to remove grout in the shower, replace shower head, faucets, install cabinets in the laundry room and get our deck and front porch re-stained. The handy man wrote us an estimate before he left our home. We realized that the estimate didn't have a break down for staining the back deck and the front porch. We called him and asked would he give us a break down of the cost for the front porch staining and the deck staining. He said he would do so. We waited and we waited. We never heard back from him so I decided to call the office. We waited more. Finally I called the office again. The person in the office said she would get in contact with the handy man and see why we haven't heard back from him. When she contacted us again, she said the handy man said he couldn't do the job because it took two people to hang the cabinets. Our question is; why didn't he tell us that when he gave us the estimate. Why waste our time.

It was AWESOME. Jeff came out the day after I called AndyOnCall and took measurements and gave me my estimate, came back the next two days and did FANTASTIC work! My neighbors were very impressed and asked for referrals as well. Jeff was incredibly personable, identified some more rotten wood and didn't delay in making it safe and beautiful.

They were decent handyman. But, they never turn up for small jobs. Often, we have to bulk up the work and then call them.The pricing is not the same as they quote on Angie's list. They pump up the price.

The tech called me once and I dealt with the girl at the office because we live in North Carolina and the house, we have in Georgia. Everything I did was through her. The man went there to fix the steps. The tenant called me and I called them. The man was the one who noticed the door rotting out and talked to the tenant so the tenant called me again. He went out of his way to do it the cheapest way possible for me. Most companies would look at it and say you have to replace the whole door way and that’s a $2500 door. He replaced one piece which I don’t know how he did it because it had glass and all. He had to literally care to do the part and just put one piece in. He saved me a working thousand dollars. If you want a little extra and finding the right parts and all those stuffs to get it fixed properly and cheaply, he was good. They got it done faster than I thought they would take to have it done.

Everything turned out well, and it was a good experience. The cost was reasonable, he completed the work in a timely manner, and he clearly explained how he was going to do the job. I haven't had any issues with the siding either.

We selected Andy on Call - Marietta as I was looking for a general provider for a rental house that we have in Marietta, Ga. We live in North Carolina so it is difficult for us to do any of the repairs of the house ourselves. The tenant had contacted us regarding bricks that had come loose from the front walk and a plumbing issue. We chose an plumbing provider for the plumbing repair; but sent an email through Angie's List to Andy on Call for the brick repair. They contacted us immediately, we explained the problem and that they had to contact the tenant to arrange a time to go the house. They did so immediately, let us know what the approximate repair cost would be for the initial problem and discovered another problem with rotting wood around the front door frame. As the front door has two sidelight windows and a half moon above, replacing the entire door would have been very expensive. In order to save us money, the representative from Andy on Call arranged to just replace the wood frame that needed to be fixed. we are very happy with the service and the cost, while still expensive due to the time of the labor to replace just the frame, was less than it could have been had the entire door been replaced. We will definitely use them again if anything else needs repair on that house.

They were fine and I had no problems with them. They were very professional, punctual and had a good price and good quality.

Very late upon arrival. Representative brought an "assistant" who was clearly not an employee. Once they found out that I might rent a room in my basement they refused to quote me a price and left. Really,really sketchy people. If this is what this company calls service I would hate to see the bad side of them.

Completed work on time and did quality work. When I had doubts of the cost of materials and requested receipts, they were provided.

Did a great job once we got him to get started. It look him 3 weeks to get started.

Never received services due to lack of communication from the service provider.

Very well, new deck installed, we did have a slight issue with some boards that did not get nailed , however once we brought the issue to the attention of Bruce, we were issued a refund and all is well, the work was performed as we dicussed and were given an estimate based on what would be performed and all was taken care of. we are extremely happy with our deck and the electrical. the new light switches allow us to turn on only the lights needed. they cleaned up the yard after they were finished. we love our new deck, the old one was not safe and now we can have more than 4 people on the deck and feel secure. Great looking new deck.

Quite well. The workman was thorough and careful, asked my opinion when there were a couple of options, and cleaned up after the job well.

They did an excellent job with the painting. Their bid was not the lowest, but I liked how they presented it. Their prices did fall into line with other estimates. They completed the painting in about three weeks and cleaned up well after the job was complete. I have already hired them for additional work. They are currently removing the stairs going up from my breakfast area to my bedroom and installing an elevator for me.

I only got an estimate - never used them to do the work due to price!

All was great. I just decided to go with someone else.

.I'd like to start this review with the fact that I have used AndyOnCall multiple times. I'd also like to restate the fact that Andy On Call uses Independent Contractors. It is stated in their profile but I figured I'd explicitly restate that fact. I am not rating on Price at this point, since the price will depend on which Independent Contractor shows up at your house. If you have one that you like and are familiar with, you might be able to request them; otherwise its up in the air as to who shows up and how much it might cost. The times that I have used AndyOnCall the different Independent Contractors have been very nice, courteous and have done a good job. I figure, once you find that person, just try to contact them directly rather than going through Andy On Call. Secondly to note with anybody contacting AndyOnCall; if you are a brand new customer, contacting them via Angies List is probably a good bet; otherwise if you can call them, I would recommend it. If their lines are down, you might be SOL. My personal experience includes contacting them via Phone in attempt to schedule work that was already estimated. Their lines kept ringing and hanging up on me for 30 minutes. I tried every few minutes.. for 30 minutes. Frustrated, I resorted to contacting via the estimating form online AND via Angies List. If you contact via Angies List, you will be messaged back via Angies List. So if you don't check your messages frequently, you may not be called or emailed back or notified. I never received anything back from the online form; so I called back the next day and the lines were working again. Anyhow all this trouble resulted in miscommunications, an increased price to do the same work (see independent contractor note above), frustration and crying. Please note, the miscommunications, even due to the fact that their lines were down or whatever the fact was that was wasting my time, will be at the fault of the customer. For this particular instance I am moving ahead with the work because I cannot afford to take another day off and wait for a different contractor to arrive at my house This experience has been terrible for me and I"ll never go through AndyOnCall again, if I already am aware of existing independent contractors.

He kept the price quoted, the job was done as scheduled, the base of the structure didn't look super great but the structure was secure.

I don't have time to go into it in detail. Suffice to say they did the job well and to my satisfaction.

I thought working with that company to get me in touch with the service was a very positive experience. They were not the actual electricians. They subcontract everything so that made things a little bit time consuming. Every time I spoke to them, they were very nice, polite, and courteous. The work turned out very well. Andy OnCall did not do the work, Electromatics did. The price was what I would have received.

Nothing happened. No quote provided. No further contact.
