Response from Nesbitt Repair
Timeline: 1)Customer demanded installation on a Friday night at 5 PM for two water heaters. Customer had water heaters already. Started install at 7 PM and finished at 1 AM. ($752.52 parts and labor) - Customer paid within two weeks of receiving invoice 7-30-2012 2) customer called a month later complaining that I was ripping him off on parts. I explained that the parts I used were replaced plus 10%. He stated I paid too much for materials. 3) 9 months later (4-18-2013) customer called stating a valve I installed was leaking. Upon arrival it was determined that the gate valve leaking was instead a old valve feeding a geothermal system to the water heaters. Customer then requested a valve be installed so water heaters could work independently of each other and raise temp from 130 degrees to 150 degrees. Customer paid $194.53 for new ball valve and labor 3) on second visit a disconnect was left in the off position. Was called back 3 months later for no hot water downstairs. Found issue and corrected no charge. 4)1 Month after last visit I got a phone call from the customer requesting reimbursement of half of the last bill he paid ($194.53) I declined, by mail, and asked that any further discussion be done by mail because of the issues I saw coming. Customer threatened to leave derogatory comments on Angie's list after the first issue with parts pricing. It took two more trips, one billable, for him to follow through with his threats. Nesbitt Repair is a family owned veteran small business and has been in the area since 1971. We make all attempts to make the customer happy and this has been proven with over 40 years in the same small town. Nesbitt Repair has made return visits to correct problems when necessary. We are human and mistakes do happen. We have found that it is how mistakes are corrected that customers tend to remember rather than the mistake itself. We are sorry this customer thinks we are not treating him fairly over 100 dollars but work was performed and customer paid.
