Description of Work: NOTHING. Cannot be reached by phone. Message just says can't be reached...call another time. Cannot reach provider for my service even though I paid for it through a big deal.

Description of Work: Purchasing maid service by the hour is a terrible idea. Once the 6 hours were up they left no matter the condition. Restroom left untouched. I would recommend you coordinate with the maid and insure you get the parts cleaned you want cleaned. 2 people for 3 hours each is a lot less than 1 at 6 hours. You will not get a completed job. Six hours doesn't get you much cleaning. But its not much money. Then why do it?

Description of Work: Emailed One Time Never Heard From again

Description of Work: It was a Big Deal for $149 for Whole Home Housecleaning. They cleaned all the floors and 6 bathrooms.

Description of Work: I purchased a "special" on your list yesterday (11/19/2013) for "Whole House Cleaning" for $149. I provided the vendor (Further & Beyond, Inc.), with 3 dates that I am available. The vendor indicated they were booked and asked for a contact number. I provided them with my cell phone and indicated they should call me to set up a date that is mutually agreeable. After Angie's List rep interceded, vendor contacted me by email and asked if 12/5/2013 would be agreeable to perform services. I indicated YES, and also provide phone number and asked what time of day? Vendor never responded to email, vendor never showed up on 12/5/2013, and never communicated back to me with either an explanation as to failure to show up at my house on 12/5/2013 or to offer and alternate date to perform service.

Description of Work: Do not sign up with this group. I could not get them on the phone to schedule an appointment. I sent e-mails, I called, I had to ask Angie's List to intervene, and they went out of business. Angie's was great about sending me a refund

Description of Work: Further and Beyond established a Big Deal with A.L. for 8 man-hours of moving services for $99, vs. their advertised regular price of $200. This works out to $12.50/man-hour for moving labor services, vs. their regular rate of $25.00/man-hour. But when I called to set up the service, Marvin (the owner) said "Angie's List made a mistake - it was supposed to be $99 for 4 man-hours, not for 8 man-hours". Well 4 man-hours for $99 is effectively $25 per man-hour, or their regular rate. So where's the Deal? Angie's List refunded my money no problem, but I could never trust Further and Beyond for anything again. Not only did they try to bait and switch me, they blamed Angie's List for making a mistake on the Big Deal posting, instead of saying they themselves made the error - if in fact there even was a mistake, which I doubt. I think what happened is the level of response to the Big Deal was too much for Further and Beyond to handle, so they just punted. So A++ to Angie's List for responding promptly with a credit, and F-- to Further and Beyond for their tactics and for trying to blame Angine's List instead of taking responsibility themselves - if in fact there was even an mistake.
