Shamrock Septic Service

I hired Shamrock Septic to pump my septic tank, inspect the interior of the tank, and inspect the field lines. I spoke with Tammy and she advised the price for these services would be $620. As a Veteran, I was pleased to learn Jon is a Navy veteran. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the service I received. Jon advised there was a problem with my field lines. However, he could not provide specifics because he was unable to perform the line inspection. He said his equipment would not operate properly given the sludge he assumed was present. He suggested I start getting estimates to replace my entire drain field and provided names and phones numbers for me to call. At my request, he did not re-cover the input side or output side inspection pipes with the dirt he had removed, as I would still need access to these when I could find someone to inspect the lines. When I expressed my displeasure for having to pay for services not received, i.e., the line inspection, and the fact that he did not have to make a trip back to replace the removed dirt, he advised the cost to pump the system was $595 and the cost of a new filter was $35. This could have gone better. I do not recommend Shamrock Septic.

I can't remember anymore

The job was done perfectly and professionally. The team was on time, friendly, cordial and extremely knowledgeable. They began to locate the tank and did so in minimum time. Once found, they dug it up, raised the lid and found a slight stoppage, which was all it really needed. But at my request they brought out the large hoses and completely drained the tank; which would last for years and years. But this service was only the tip of the problems I was having. Today I lost my loving brother to leukemia which was more than I could bear. They tender and remorseful and said they would keep him in their prayers. In this company I not only found a highly determined and professional team, but more than that, wonderful people that I could get to know as friends. I highly recommend them for any of their services and guarantee you would not be disappointed. In every respect they were the answer to my prayers.

The crew called as promised when they were near. They were early and prepared. I had uncovered the tank, in prep for installing risers. Their first words upon opening it were "it doesn't need it." I was immediately sold, and had them pump it anyway. They provided good recommendations for the risers and other bits l needed. Yes, they are good.

The service was excellent. The price was fair. They are friendly and very knowledgeable. The workers are friendly and knowledgeable.

It was very easy and they were excellent and gave us excellent advice. We are going to use them again.

Shamrock set up a time that worked for me, just a couple of days after my initial contact. I didn't do a lot of price comparing, but it seemed reasonable. I received a call letting me know that it was completed, but that there were some unusual findings... that my septic tank had been installed backwards. Richard went over my options, which included doing nothing about it. Communication was effortless throughout, I feel like I was treated with integrity despite being an out of town property owner, and I appreciate the thorough explanation of the issues with my septic tank. I'll definitely use them again... and probably take their advice on their 'fix' next time I need to have my septic pumped, in a few years.

We are so very impressed with this company! From the time you call to the time they leave your home, they are without a doubt the kindest, most professional, and knowledgeable people you could ask for. Lynne, Richard, and Josh are just FABULOUS! They treat you with such kindness you feel as though you've known them for years from the minute you speak to them. Richard was very professional and thorough. He explained what he was doing along the way as well as what my costs would be. I don't think our septic tank had been cleaned in over 20 years! He also educated me about using a septic tank and left me with several months' supply of treatment product. I highly recommend Shamrock Septic Service!

Very efficient and professional work. The septic tank was long past needing to be pumped. Mr. Sims and his son arrived when promised, located the tank within a few minutes and dug two holes slightly larger than the two lids. They then pumped out the tank and snaked the line to assure proper flow from the house. The holes were refilled with the dirt that had been dug and placed on plastic and the dirt was then tamped down. They also gave me important information on future maintenance. I was very impressed with their service and would most definitely recommend them to anyone.

Our property is difficult to find and there is no cell or phone service at the home. It was very important that the contractor communicate with us in advance so we could get them directions and instructions on how to get in touch with us the day of service. The contractor was great at staying in touch, arrive as expected and followed our directions to the property with no issues. The team was very knowledgeable, friendly and worked hard. The job was completed with no hassle and the site clean up was great. I would absolutely recommend them and use them in the future.

Excellent. These guys are very professional and personable and explain every step. The last owners did not have this service done and since it was WAY overdue (by about 15 years), we hope we dodged a bullet. Richard and Josh explained how we can prevent a future incident but not that we're out of the woods. Time will tell. My husband and I are totally impressed with this company. And I called this morning to schedule this service and we never expected they would come the same day! They really are super.

The service went according to plan. Richard and his crew were very professional and very knowledgeable. Richard took the time to explain the whole process and also provided valuable information with regards to on-going maintenance of the septic system. We had no idea where the septic tank was located but that didn't seem to phase Richard and he was confident they would find it. Within 20-25 minutes, they had found it and surprisingly enough under our picnic area. Richard advised me that the 2nd chamber of the septic tank was located near our fire pit and during excavation there could be some damage and asked how I wanted to proceed. He said he would do his best to minimize and avoid any damage but excavation obviously had some risks. There was no damage to the fire pit and after all, having the septic tank maintenance was more important than some damage to a picnic area. The job turned out to be higher than the amount quoted but the over the phone quote was clear about the depth of the dig and when on-site Richard explained the costs prior to moving ahead. Our tank was significantly over the 16-18 inches quoted and it did take a fair amount of time to dig up as it had been 11 years. I was very satisfied with the septic tank clean out and service.

They were prompt, and they were honest. I would use them again.

The owner/operator arrived on time (even after I rescheduled last minute). There were no accurate records of septic tank location yet these guys found the tank in about 5 minutes. They had the tank dug up, opened, and were pumping it out within 15 minutes. These folks were very knowledgeable, gave us good tips on maintenance, offered us a less expensive service when they got into the tank, and were all around good at what they did. This world has a lot of businesses that can talk a good line but Shamrock Septic quietly does what they do and they do it well. No one else will work on our septic system as long as Shamrock is in business.

Mr. Sims arrived at about 3:30pm. Right on time as far as I was concerned. After some discussion about the problem he began probing the ground and was able to locate the tank. The home is a newer home but as it turned out the tank was an older style that had been here for a mobile home (from many years ago)so it caught him thinking it would be a newer style with 2 lids on top. This older style the whole top had to come off. It was no problem for Mr. Sims, he was very knowledgeable about his business. He pumped it out and made sure there was proper flow. Since the home was newer and the flow was good, he didn't recommend cleaning out the lines. He put the lid back on, covered the hole back up and was on his way. I would highly recommend his services.

First visit in January - one individual in a tanker truck arrived, but he could not locate the tank without the owner's experience (even though I pointed out the probable location of the tank) and left within 20 minutes without doing anything. Following this visit, I contacted County Health to get the construction plans to accurately locate the septic tank. Once located, I spent approx. 3 hours cleaning brush and weeds around the tank to aid in cleaning (the tank was in the location I initially identified to the company worker). I contacted the company again in mid January to return to the site to complete the job - they finally set up an appointment to arrive on a Saturday afternoon (we cancelled previous engagements to be present on their visit), but they did not arrive until the following Monday afternoon. The owner and the worker arrived for the second visit in a small pickup truck (no tanker) and after I pointed out the location of the tank (which they still could not remember from previous service calls) they went down to the tank to locate and dig-out the second cover (first already exposed) and to clean the filter. Following this, they informed me that they would have to return on another day with the tanker truck to pump out the tank, but said it would cost more because of the steep hill they would have to pump the sewage up from (apparently the cost increased because of additional time and hose requirements) - but they provided no estimate of the final cost. On their third trip in early Feb, they finally arrived with the tank truck and finished pumping out the septic tank - requiring 1 hour and 45 minutes. The next week I received a very poorly documented bill for $775! I called to complain that the bill suggested duplicative services on the three visits (even though I only requested one service call) and was much higher than anticipated, but to no avail!!! I have since discussed this experience with other local homeowners, realtors, and construction contractors - all agree that I got ripped-off!! Next time, I will find a different septic service provider!!!!!!!!

Mr. Sims and his son were professional and courteous. They were respectful of my property and took great care as not to damage anything. They showed up as promised. Did what was promised. They educated me on what I needed to know about septic systems. Could not have been any better of an experience.
