Givens Quality Painting

Mr. Givens was very responsive. My deck never looked better after the work was completed. The workers were very careful in applying the stain, making sure none reached the paint trim or siding. The crew even touched up my paint trim that was removed by the steam cleaning. The company was very professional and the crew knew exactly what to do. Considering the heat and the sun, they did an excellent job.

Larry Givens came out on a Saturday and spent about an hour looking at the house. He was very friendly and professional. A few days later, we got a written quote from him in the mail. I was so happy with the price, I didn't even get other estimates. Larry's crew started about a week later, and finished the house within about a week. The crew cleaned up every night. They worked quickly, quietly and professionally. I'm extremely impressed with the quality of their work. There was not a speck of paint anywhere that paint shouldn't be. The caulk on the windows and doors was very nicely done. The repairs that were needed were done for a very reasonable price, and I didn't have to find a carpenter. These guys were pros too; all the rotten scrap wood was hauled away. The only complaint I had was a few drips on the porch column, and these were fixed as soon as I brought them up. These are great people, and I'm very glad I used them.

Mr. Givens runs a quality company. He was quick to provide an estimate and very attentive to our questions and requests. His crew arrived promptly, worked long hours, kept the work area free of paint on trees/bushes/sidewalk, and worked very quietly. Mr. Givens did a wonderful job matching the paint and stain to the existing colors of the house as well. There are four condo owners of this house and everyone is very pleased with their work. I highly recommend using this company for painting projects (exterior or interior).

Mr. Givens quickly responded to my inquiry and gave me an estimate. After I selected Mr. Givens, he set a date to do the work. Although he was unable to make his first date, he did keep me informed and finished the work within 48 hours of when originally scheduled. I was not home when the work was done but upon inspection I was thoroughly impressed with both the quality and the condition of the work site upon completion.

After my initial call, Larry came over the following day to give us a bid. His quote was quite a bit less than other quotes we had received, so based on his quote and other Angie's List reports, we decided to use Larry. He was able to get a crew to our house in 1 week to start the job. His 2 guys arrived every morning at 9am and worked until 7pm. They spend a lot of time on prepping the house for painting (scraping, caulking, etc.) and found a few pieces of rotted wood that needed to be replaced. They did an excellent job with the painting and were very detailed oriented and paid special attention to bushes, etc. around the house. Each night, they cleaned up all of their supplies and put them in a discreet location. Larry did an excellent job color matching our paint and used a glossier paint on the trim and shutters which really makes our house look crisp. We are extremely happy with the job he did and would definitely recommend him.

I thought that they were very clean. They came early and stayed late. I also thought the whole job was very quick. The quality of the work was really good. Their grades truly reflect their service.

This contractor was very professional and he gave us a great estimate. We will probably go with him in the future, but need to budget ourselves accordingly. He was responsive to our questions and the bid he gave was the best so far.

Larry is by far the best painter I have ever seen in all of the experiences I have had with painters. His work is excellent and I would highly recommend him. There was nothing wrong with anything he did and he is really good at painting. He worked in a timely manner and was very respectful and careful. He was very easy to talk to and he is a small company. He does the work himself.

I am 100% satisfied with Larry and all of his team's work. Larry insists on "doing things right", and will not cut corners just to give you a cheaper price. He is very focused on the prep work, not just the finished painting. His guys are very skilled, quick (but not in a hurry), and very professional. His guys are tradesmen; i.e. painters, not laborers. Larry gives you a rare combination of high quality and reasonable pricing. I will use no one else for painting services.

They did an excellent job from start to finish. The workers were professional and cleaned everything up when they were finished. I plan to use them again for another project.

I discussed this project in detail with Larry Givens when he came to my home to prepare his estimate. The estimate/proposal was adequately detailed with respect to the work that would be done and the price was fair. We were able to schedule the work quickly. The painting crew (two non-smokers) did exceptional work and the rooms look great! They worked steadily and finished the job quickly (two days). They moved and covered the furniture to protect it from the job. Clean up was excellent.

They did a very good job. They were very punctual and professional.

The work looks great and the price was very reasonable. The price matched the estimate. The problem is that no one showed up to do the work the first two times we scheduled it. We almost gave up on him. He offered to do the work for free, but we did not take him up on that.

The painter arrived on time with the correct paint and stain we had arranged prior. They did excellent work at an amazing pace. The over all results are great and they were pleasant guys to have around. I would recommend them.

I called Mr. Givens Monday morning. He returned my call Monday evening, and was at my house to look over the space Tuesday. On Saturday he gave me the estimate. I was very happy with his immediate response. His price, however, was higher than others.

I was pleased with this company. They did show up on time and they called the day before to confirm the appointment. There were a couple lines in the ceiling that were noticeable. I called them and they did come back out and fix them for me. I had no problem getting them to do that. They were very professional and told me that they do back their work.

Larry Givens is a straight shooter. He was very prompt and polite. He followed through on everything he said he would do. He and his team did a great job on our house. All who worked on our home were employed by Given's Painting and they all seemed competent. They stayed focused on the job all the way through to completion. They were attentive to detail and did quality work. We will rehire them when we need additional painting or repair.

Larry was punctual and professional when first meeting with him. He gave fair quotes and his crew (Jose and Francisco) performed very detailed work. They started at 9:00 am and worked until 6:00 pm every day until the job was done. We started with just hiring him for the roof work initially and added more work when my husband noticed the quality job the guys were doing and the fact that he liked Larry and trusted his judgment and suggestions when additional tasks needed to be included. He also helped us decide on paint colors for some of the rooms. The kitchen cabinets look like new!

Excellent, Larry was professional and prompt with estimate and with getting someone out right away. I will definitely use him again.

Larry was able to come out quickly to view the work that needed to be done and give us a quote. He was able to get a crew started the next day, and they even worked on Saturday. They completed the job in 3 days only taking Sunday off. When they stripped the wallpaper, there were actually 3 layers instead of one. There was a lot of extra work involved, but Larry honored his original quote. We were very pleased with the quality of the work. The painters seemed to be very experienced. They made sure that all the floors were covered and left everything neat.

Larry arrived on time and provided a prompt estimate but his price was more than double his competitors so we went with another company.

Mr. Givens provided initial bid broken out for approx five work areas and a total with discount. Revised twice based on additional unforeseen damage to exterior. All charges substantiated. We were present at all times to verify. We paid for build materials. Contractor provided paint, nails, caulk,etc.We were surprised by amount of damage needing repair/replacement and Given's team insisted on doing job right with no quick-fix requiring action again in a year or so. We were pleased with the time they took and overall workmanship and quality with attention to detail. Work ethic was great and overall handyman skills vast. This was a seasoned team. Team responded well to specific work requests and did best to please. Job went from 7-8 day estimate to over three weeks-unavoidable due to scope increase. Saw owner several times but able to rely on on-site supervisor/lead. Job went well overall and house is solid and looks great. Well worth the extra time, cost and effort. Reasonable discount.

They did an outstanding job on everything and I will and have reccommended to others. The workers were polite on time, and very efficient in performing and completeing the tasks in only 2 days.
