Deck Domain

As with some "Big Deals" I've ordered, I think this vendor got too many orders at once. Would not offer a specific date for service. When I asked for one, they became non-responsive. I finally had to cancel.

Not well at all. When I first contacted him, there was a problem with scheduling. He wanted to come on January 13, 2014, but that wasn't a good day for me because I had appointments that day. He said that Atlanta was a long way for him to come, so I said okay. My husband works all night, but said he would wait until 11:00 AM for him to arrive. He waited until 12:00 PM and we got no call. My husband called him and he said he had the flu. He still should have called.

Severin arrived on time had all the necessary professional equipment. He was very careful to make sure the entire deck both top side and underside were clean as possible. The stain was applied with a sprayer and I was very impressed as it covered much better than a brush although a brush was used in order to be careful around the house. The stain dried quickly and was immediately water repellant. My deck is on the second floor of my house but does not have any steps leading down to the ground. This results in having to work around certain pieces of deck furniture which Severin was able to handle with care. I recommend Deck Domain for their excellent job and reasonable pricing. Completed job in three days. Thought it would only take two days but he didn't arrive until 1:30 on the second day. Quality of work was very good. Paid attention to the details. Didn't completely clean work area up before leaving every day. On the first day he left a ladder against the sun room and on the second day he left an extension cord and paint sprayer laying in the yard. Also, needed partial payment after the first day. However, he did do an excellent job and his overall price was very good.

I called Deck Domain and he was able to come out. He was prompt, polite and professional. He was honest with me in letting me know that he does not do those modifications to the deck of my requests of it making it bigger.

Provided services as promised with no problems at what I considered to be a fair price. Owner was professional and pleasant.

Severin came and gave an estimate for the job that was well under previous estimates. We set a date for the work to be done, but he never showed up. It was difficult to reach him by phone as he is slow to respond to messages left at his office (think a day or three). He called the following week to apologize for missing the scheduled date and offered a discount to complete the job. When he came for the work he was polite, apologetic, detail oriented and hard working. The quality of the work is excellent, there were no cleanup issues and I am 100% pleased with the results. I had earlier given a bad review based on his not showing up as scheduled. I will retract that and stand by this review of his actual work.

He cleaned and removed the old stain that was on there and then he sealed it. I definitely will use them again.

Severin has pressure washed/applied preservative to our porches for several years. This year when I called him the first time, he did not return my call. I waited a week or so to call him a second time, and that time he called me back, said he'd been very busy, but he'd put me on the schedule...he just had been so busy that he hadn't called me to tell me. He told me what day I was scheduled for the pressure washing and showed up that day to do it; at that time, he told me he'd give things a couple of days to dry out and would be back on 5/11 to apply the water repellant finish. He did everything beautifully, and with the slight exception of neglecting to let me know he'd received my call - so I didn't know he'd gotten it - he's awesome. I'm not surprised he's busier than ever; he does a great job!

Severin from Deck Domain was very professional. First he came to see the deck and provided me with an estimate of what his services would cost. He was reasonably priced and did a great job! He sent me a picture of the deck after it was completed since I am no longer living in the area and that was really helpful. He also power washed the mold off of our patio slab underneath the deck for a small additional cost. Severin completely the work quickly, and e-mailed me an invoice which was also very convenient and hassle free! I would recommend Deck Domain.

Severin was very knowledgable, helpful and professional. I picked him because I told him the size of my deck and he gave an estimate right then over the phone. Plus he was eager to share any information I should know about prior to me agreeing to work with him. He was helping me even before I hired him! A consummate professional. I highly recommend Severin and Deck Domain for care and treatment of decking.

Mr. Assamoi returned call and made estimate appointment for next day. He measured all surfaces and gave an estimate for prepartion, time and materials. Rain caused a delay between pressure washing and stain application. I am pleased with his meticulous attention to the entire proccess. I plan to use his services for pressure washing in the future.

The job went extremely well with Severin pressure washing more than once to make sure decks were in best possible condition for stain. Since my house and the decks are over 20 years old there was a great deal to do. Severin applied the stain over a period of about 2 days. He worked around the fact that siding was being installed and separated the parts of his work that would interfere.we are very happy with final result of decks and fence and think Severin did the best possible job.

I can't for the life of me figure out why Deck Domain would have anything less than an "A" rating. I had initially tried to get Alain's deck washing to come wash and treat my deck, but it took him a week to get to me (in Grant Park) to give an estimate and then it would be another week or two until he could come do it. Plus, Alain's wanted $750, which seemed really high. So, I went to Deck Domain and immediately had contact with Severin, who was able to give me an estimate the next day. He also gave me a quote for $320--less than half of what Alain wanted. AND, Deck Domain (aka Severin), was able to come do it the next day. He also did my table and chairs as part of the cost (I had thought I'd have to ask separately for that and pay more) and now everything is looking good. In short, Severin's work is great, very affordable, and to top it off, he was very pleasant to work with and didn't waste my time. I would give an A plus if that was an option!

He did some masonry work that was messy. He didn’t put the pattern back the right way, slates are sticking out, which means he would have to use a grinder now to fix it. He also pressure washed most our deck, but still has yet to finish pressure washing and staining. He decided on the staining color for himself by buying the stain, disregarding my color. So we set up a meeting to go pick out the color using a color chip, he ended up being a no show. I made 2 $400 payments, and the second payment was for the deck and fence stain, but the work has not been done yet. He is a no show so far.

They were very professional and did a great job for half the price of the other estimates. I would definitely use them again!

Severin agreed to provide an estimate at 6:00 PM. After rushing home from a meeting to make the 6:00 PM appointment......Severin was a no show. I finally called Severin at 6:30 PM and he said he forgot. Typical trade contractor.....shows up late or doesn't show up at all. I thanked Severin for his time and moved on to another more responsible contractor.

Arrived on time, pleasant, professional, called me the night before as I'd requested so that we could move furniture off of the decks...Washed one day, allowed a day to dry and then applied sealer...decks look like new, as do the handrails, rail supports, steps, etc.

The work performed by Deck Domain is labor intensive and the high quality showed in the finished product. Deck Domain was very professional and explained the procedure of the work being done on the decks. I would highly recommend the services of Deck Domain.

I called Deck Domain on a Sunday afternoon and Severin came that same evening to look at the deck and give me an estimate. His price was extremely reasonable when compared to other quotes I had received. He came to pressure wash the deck on Thursday of the same week and applied the stain on Friday. He was very responsive throughout the whole process (answered or promptly returned every one of my calls), and did excellent work. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing deck pressure washing, staining and minor repair.

First class work. Well worth the price.

Severin and his crew are hard workers and didn't take any shortcuts on the job. The price was more than reasonable for the work involved and he seemed very well informed on the products to use and the right approach to extending the life of my deck as long as possible.

They were the lovely people I have ever met. They were wonderful. I would use them in the future.

Good price, timely and quality work. The deck looks like new. I would definitely use again.
