I was scheduled next day for a non emergent mold inspection. Jason was punctual and called before arriving. He is obviously knowledagable in this field, he was professional and shared many options for corrections of our problems including DIY projects. His pricing was fair and he provided the inspection for no cost. We will definitely be working with his company in the future. High recommendation.

On Monday I went down to my basement to store an item. I smelled what I thought was a dead mouse. I stepped into one of the rooms where I had lots of items stored and the carpet went squish. That room and part of another were completely flooded. I found Flood-X on Angie's list and called them. They indicated they could do the clean up and I asked when they would be able to come out expecting that it would be the next day or so since it was late afternoon. Willie the technician told me he would be out in an hour after he finished the job he was currently doing. He arrived that afternoon, gave me a quote that he would not exceed to remove the carpet totally and dispose of it in one room and to take out the rug pad in part of the other room then dry the rooms. He also removed the baseboards in both rooms to make sure to dry out any water that was behind the walls. I was very impressed that he also said not to worry about moving all of the items in the room, that he would do that. He finished the work that afternoon and brought in fans and dehumidifiers to dry out the rooms. It took three days to dry out the basement. The work and the equipment rental were very reasonable. I would use this company again.

He said that the dryer might not be hooked up correctly. He suggested I ask the person who hooked it up to come back and take look to make sure it is hooked up properly. The man came and tightened something on the dryer and the smell that I thought was mold vanished.

I contacted them 2 years ago & came back. They honored their original estimate and then gave me the Angie's List discount. Five star performance.

We recently refinished our basement. One day after our new carpet tiles were installed, our furnace shut-off mechanism failed, allowing water to seep out of our basement storage area into the newly finished area. I called Flood-X early the next morning. They were at our house with equipment within a couple hours. They were courteous, professional, and helpful. I would call them immediately if we have the need. (Hopefully we won't, though!)

On a Friday night we discovered raw sewage in our basement. Flood-X gave us an estimate with good details about what they would do. By the end of the weekend, they had cleaned up the disgusting mess, ripped out affected carpeting and walls, and had already started the drying process. They were very pleasant to deal with, which took the edge off of a distressing situation. They made the whole process as painless as possible. We highly recommend Flood-X.

Professional. Arrived quickly, a few hours after my call. Had to wait a little while for one of the machines to arrive, but not a problem.

The workmen showed up on time & did a very thorough job including, stretching the carpet & cleaning the carpet. They are very professional & courteous.

Jason was excellent to deal with. Also extremely professional. I had estimates from two other companies, and I had a gut-feeling that Jason was the one I wanted to work with. My intuition was right. He was extremely responsive both when I initially contacted him and throughout the process. He was very patient to answer every question I had, and answered texts or calls immediately. Also, when we were concerned that there may still be mold in the house (two months after he remediated the mold), he came out within hours to re-test the air quality at absolutely no charge. (There was no mold.) One thing that stands out was the fact that I never thought he was out to gauge me. One of the other companies (not the one that wanted to charge $47,000), wanted to charge $3,000 for the installation of a humidifier. On-line I saw that it was $600. I bought it on-line and Jason installed it for free. Those other guys would have made a $2400 profit off of that installation. I highly recommend Jason and Flood-X. I found him to be extremely honest, responsive, and capable.

I had originally had Jason come out to look at my problems after discovering water damage and mold in my garage and house. He was very knowledgable and took a great deal of time to answer my questions and give me his opinions of what I would find behind the moldy drywall in the garage, etc. I hired him to deal with the mold remediation and take care of all this. I could not have been more pleased. His initial opinions were correct, he calmed my fears, and my expenses ended up actually being less than his estimate range. (And since my homeowners insurance had denied my claim, I had been pretty upset!) Jason took care of everything involved in getting my home certified ok. Documentation of his company's insurance was provided for me before he started the work and the work was done without me present as I was at work. I appreciated Jason's professionalism. He did not overcharge me, was responsive, and did not pressure me with scare tactics. I have been having a lot of contracting work done with my house recently and even though no one would want to have to deal with water damage, Jason and Floodx were just the best! I would highly recommend Floodx with total confidence.

They were excellent. They were extremely honest and upfront. Jason and Willie were both very honest and very friendly. All the other mold people were over-dramatic but they made me feel really comfortable and confident. They didn't try to just take extra money. They were very professional. I would definitely use them again.

We purchased a foreclosed home in May, 2011 that had obvious signs of water damage throughout the home, primarily in the hardwood floors which were warped and de-laminating. We were told that the previous owner had a toilet overflow, and that this flooded the entire house. The price of the home was low enough to consider purchasing the home anyway, even taking into consideration the cost of replacing all the flooring. Fearing mold and mildew issues in addition to the damaged floors, we got a full home inspection. Being careful to say they were not mold experts, the inspectors concluded there was no mold or water issue based on the fact that there was no visible mold, no moisture detected in the floor or walls, and that there was no musty mold smell. Just to be ultra-cautious, we called two additional mold remediation "experts" from local Atlanta firms to detect for mold. Since there were no obvious signs of mold that could be tested, they each did only a visual inspection, but they both also concluded that there was no major mold issue in the home. Based on these recommendations, we felt comfortable purchasing the house. One of the first things we did once we closed on the home was call out a flooring company to replace the damaged flooring. After the contractors pulled up the old wood laminate floors, we noticed what looked like black mold on the concrete. We also noticed what looked like mold below the baseboards and again became very concerned about a potential mold issue. This time we called Flood X based on a recommendation by one of the flooring contractors who commented that Jason Renwick was the best mold expert in Atlanta, in his opinion. My wife called Jason and was impressed with the amount of time he took on the phone with her, listening to the background story, and sharing his expertise about mold remediation. Jason came out the next day and took a look at the home. He told us he did not think the black spots on the floor were actually mold. His recommendation was to do a deeper inspection by pulling back some of the baseboards to look on their back surface for mold, as well as to see the drywall underneath. If there was no major problem detected on the baseboards, we could get away with a disinfecting of the floors and baseboards which would only be a few hundred dollars to do. If he did find something more major, he said we may then be dealing with a full mold remediation which could cost thousands. He came back a few days later to do the more thorough inspection. He pulled back at least one baseboard in every room, and lo and behold, each one was absolutely COVERED in black mold spores, as was the drywall beneath the baseboards. Even he was surprised at how bad the problem was, given that there was no major mold smell in the home, and the fact that there was little evidence of a problem on the outer drywall surfaces. It was obvious that the seller of the home cleaned the surfaces well and may have also painted over mold evidence on the drywall to hide the extent of the problem from us (how we deal with that is another issue altogether.) Jason explained that the only way to correctly remediate the issue would be to cut out the affected drywall, remove any affected insulation, cabinetry, and fixtures, and do a complete and thorough cleaning of the all surfaces in the home. He explained that every surface would be cleaned 3 times! Though we were clearly not happy to have the issue (especially since we thought we were very cautious about doing our homework before purchasing), we were relieved that we finally knew the extent of the issue and how to resolve it. He gave us what we thought was a fair quote to do this work, given the amount of manual effort that would be involved to do the job right. Jason told us his crew are all trusted employees and not contractors, which gives him an extra layer of control over quality. We hired him to do the work, and his crew was able to start a few days later. Total remediation took about a week. When they were done, we got an independent mold test that indicated that all but normal minute traces of mold were removed from the home--it was remarkably clean! I really felt like Jason and his crew were always responsive, knowledgeable, honest, and professional in all their dealings with us. They always explained things thoroughly. When I came onsite during the work, one of his crew stopped what he was doing and walked me through what they had done thus far and what was left to do. The worksite was always kept clean and orderly, which I think is the mark of a professional organization. I think they did an outstanding job and would definitely use them again. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing mold remediation like we did, you will be in good hands with Jason and his crew. I would not hesitate to recommend FloodX to others needing this kind of special service.

Great, quick and punctual service to take care of our nightmare flooding. Professional and efficient service. They cleaned up the mess though it took a few days to pick up the old carpets as their trucks were busy doing the same throughout the area during to the flooding in Atlanta. No problems with mold noticed in the past year.

The humidifier on our hot water heater broke and soaked the first floor of our home. Flood X came out on a Sunday morning, helped move all of our belongings to the garage and removed all the water. They pulled up the carpets and padding and set up industrial fans and a humidifier. They returned the next day, pulled up the underlying linoleum and cut out damaged sheet rock and baseboards. The following day, they returned to check progress and removed machines. They were quick to respond to every call and question and I felt confident in their ability to repair the damage. Window blinds were inadvertently damaged by the forceful fans and upon recognition of this, Flood X hand delivered a check to replace the blinds the very next morning. This is a fine example of a company that cares and I highly recommend them to anybody in need of their services.

They were super nice and very helpful. I called on a Monday and they were able to come out the same day and get started. They were very upfront about the fact that they could not fix the leak but that they could get it dried out and remove the mold. They told me I had caught it early and that it could have gotten much worse. They came out this morning to check and see if the area was dry yet. I thought it was b/c it is dry to the touch but they said it was not based on their water detecting equipment so they left their drying machines here for another day. They were very sympathetic and made a difficult situation easier to handle. Thanks!

We had a flood in our main floor bathroom. We called Jason on a Saturday night and we made the decision that he did not need to come out to our house until Sunday morning. We had already soaked up all the water ourselves. Jason showed up on time Sunday morning. He checked everything out. He explained the procedure to us and got right to work. He was very careful to double check that his procedures where inline with what or insurance company expected. We had blowers and humidifiers in our house for 4 days. Everyday he came back to check a statues of the drying process. He team was very professional. If we ever had another flood, I would definitely call flood-x again

The experience with them was very good. They explained everything to me well, and told me what needed repaired. They reassured me that the foundation was safe. Just my laminate flooring needed repaired.

They did a very thorough job. They were very prompt in this crisis situation. They explained what they were doing. They worked quickly and efficiently. They also recommended Brett Stone, a follow up contractor for the repair work. I was very pleased with the work done by both contractors.

Jason and his team are the best! They were professional, very knowledgeable, polite, experienced and overall just a pleasure to work with. We had come back from vacation to find the flood, which was devastating. BUT with FloodX coming to the rescue we felt the weight lift off and they took care of the problem. It was upsetting to see all of the damage to our basement from the water. The insurance company was great and helped us find Floodx to handle the situation. They came out within an hour of our call. They assessed the job and started. They were very efficient, removing the water and checking for mold. The room was much better after they were done. They made this harrowing experience much easier for us.
