While we purchased most of the materials, Brent and his helper replaced one ceiling fan and installed a second one. He also replaced a range hood, and installed a lighting fixture with a new switch. All this was done in approximately a four or five hour period. His work was professional, quick, clean and complete.

They did great. They showed up when they were supposed to. They got the job done when they were supposed to. They did what they said they were going to do. They are dependable.

All went well. The estimate was 3 to 4 days to completion. work was completed in 4 days.

No issues. They were helpful and attentive to insure my concerns were adequately addressed. I requested a quote for a fence project, but have not received as of today.

The entire ordeal from start to finish was a hassle free experience.

Overall, great job. Brent was on time, very knowledgeable, professional and very reasonable. Great guy to do business. I would highly recommend him to anyone with home repair or remodleing work to be done.

All of the above projects met with my satisfaction. He also raised my microwave and he went on the roof to assure that I would not have a leak or build up of condensation in the pipe in the wall.

All work was completed in a short amount of time, they left no mess for me to clean up and the cost was very reasonable.

I called on either a Monday or a Tuesday. He told me he only performed estimates on Saturdays and he only scheduled them on Friday evening. He offered to call me back on Friday evening. I said OK. Late Friday afternoon I called him to see if we were on for the next day or not until next week. He said it would be next week. I said OK. So a total of 10 or 11 days pass from my first request for an estimate, and he calls back to tell me he can come the next morning early, but he'll have to charge me $20. I declined because so much time had passed, that I already had gathered other estimates.

I am delighted with the results and plan to have them back for additional work next month. I need only wash my windows to have the exterior of my home looking brand new. These guys are adults, know how to behave around a home and show up when they have made an appointment. I'd entrust them with any repair necessary.

Our kitchen light fixture kept blowing bulbs, the last time we replaced one it wouldn't work at all. I bought a 7 bulb track light to replace the faulty fixture and my husband installed it. Within a week 5 of the 7 bulbs were blown and in a couple of days the sixth one went! Since this fixture was doing the same thing as the old one, we were afraid we had a wiring problem. Not knowing an electrician, I joined Angie's list hoping to find a reputable repairman. After in depth review of all contractors on Angie's list that fit our needs, we decided to use Total Home Repair. We called the number listed and received a call back within 30 minutes from the owner, Brent McCurdy. After explaining our problem and our concerns Mr. McCurdy said he would be happy to do the repair but was booked up for a couple of weeks. My husband told him we had made the decision to use his company and would wait until he was available to do our job. About a week later, Mr. McCurdy called to let us know the job he was on would be completed within the next two days and could do our work as soon as he finished up there. We were impressed that he phoned us with an update and looked forward to having our fixture repaired soon. Late the next afternoon, Mr. McCurdy called back to let us know he finished up sooner than he expected and could come out the next day if that worked for us which it did. He arrived on time (a giant plus with us). He went over what might be involved in the repair explaining everything so we understood. He said he would treat our home as if it were his own. He was absolutely true to his word in every aspect of this transaction. We were uneasy with the prospect of hiring anyone to do anything based on our past experiences with less than reputable contractors not to mention the dread of what an electrical repair would cost. What an absolutely pleasant surprise for us when we met Brent McCurdy! I was shocked he only charged $75 for everything he did. We chose Total Home Repair based on the services offered and customer reviews. We will continue to use Total Home Repair because of our own experience. Honesty, integrity and quality work is what we found with Total Home Repair. Brent McCurdy is a "rare breed" in these times!

I chose the new door and storm door. Brent picked them up and installed them the same day, finished installing the frame and made a seamless join to the drywall. He painted the door inside and out. He also installed the new lockset and tested them. The work area was left clean and in good order, and all debris and trash from the old door was taken away. I am very pleased with the work.

Brent stays so busy that we first thought it would be mid February before he could get to our repairs - since I could literally put my hand under the botched door and feel the air outdoors, AND it is January, I was concerned about the February appointment, but willing to wait because Brent was so highly recommended. When his schedule changed and he could work us in earlier, he called immediately and did just that!

I can count on him. When he says he's going to be here, he's going to be here. When he's here he does his work. He listens well to what I am asking him to do which I find very helpful. He does a good job. The work is done well and I am pleased with the final product. He is very courteous. He does what I ask him to do. When I ask him for stuff, he never says he can't do that or why not think I want to do that. He is customer service oriented, but beyond that he does it. Somebody can be customer service oriented, but may not work accordingly. I've had people who agreed to everything and then when they came, they were like that's not what we talked about or I didn't think that's the way it's going to be and then they don't do it. They guy that was with him was also very nice. He cleans up after himself. He is clean and neat and on time. He is reliable. When he's here, I really don't feel he is here as he's not standing around or talking. Sometimes people come to my house and they do work and then they stand around talking to me and I am like?Okay?go and do some stuff now?Sometimes I have had people do it too much. He is nice, but he is about doing the work that's involving. He is very professional. I didn't get other estimates, I didn't go to other people and I was happy him when he came the first time. I didn't shop a lot for the price, but he was here for two and a half days or so. The price was worth the quality of the work that was done.

When the estimate was being completed; I had the feeling that this was going to be a rush job. That in one day there would be people in my home and quality would not be the final outcome on the second day. There was no time for problem resolution indicated in the work schedule proposed.

He did a great job. The workmanship was off the charts. I would highly recommend him to anyone. he was very professional and courtesy. The were very clean about there work.

The entire experience went very well. Brent was on time and very knowledgeable about the repairs. He explained step by step what he was doing and even showed me the worn parts. He was very personable and his prices were reasonable in comparison to other estimates I received.

Brent came prepared with a large box of stock fittings, and got right down to work. He did make one brief trip to a local store for a part, but came back quickly and completed the job. He really respected us and our home, and we'd have him back for any work needed. We have already recommended him to friends.

Brent was on a job when I called him initially, so I quickly explained the work I was looking to get done. He gave me his email address so that I could send my address, contact phone numbers, and a description of the work I wanted. Brent called me back quickly to let me know when he could come to my house to do the work. We set a date for the work and Brent called the night before to let me know what time he would be coming the following day. There was a little confusion on my part as to whether or not we had to be home for the work, so we ended up re-scheduling for the following week (Saturday, Oct.16th). Again, Brent called the night before to let me know when he would be coming by the next day. He also called the morning of the scheduled work to let us know he was on the way. He examined the fence and showed us that our fence (that had been built less than a year and a half ago) had been secured by large staples and told us that the fence actually needed screws in order to make sure the planks stayed attached. He told us that we needed to have the entire fence secured by screws. He did what had been agreed to and told us that he would be calling when he could come back to do the work he had recommended. He gave us a quote of $200 for the rest of the fence and we are just waiting to see when he can do the work. Brent was down to earth, fair, and professional. He called when he said he would call and arrived when he said he would arrive. We would not hesitate to use him for other jobs, should they arise.

It was a great experience from start to finish. One of the things Brent came to do was hang a new pendant light in the kitchen. I had decided I wanted it on the same circuit as an existing light, but hadn't mentioned it at our first meeting. He was open to the change and clearly explained what he would look at to see if this was safely possible. It was, and with no questions he got the new material, hung the light and replaced the old wall switch as we had discussed. At the same time Jody worked on the doors outside. The work here was also very good. When the job needed 2 men, they just teamed up. My husband commented on their smooth transition from one job to the other. Finally, I asked if he had time to paint a garage door panel. Again, no problem. To top things off, Brent called that evening because he remembered he hadn't painted over a pencil line on the ceiling. Need I mention his attention to detail. I'm sure we'll be seeing Brent again.

Extremely well. Showed up on time. Very professional & efficient. All work he did was first rate. We will DEFINITELY call Total Home Repair again.

Brent had to daunting task of replacing 21 windows in a 50 year old brick house. The windows were all different sizes and ALL of them were original to the house. Nearly all of the windows were built in between the brick and the framing and had to be cut out by hand. Brent did a great and methodical job of custom fitting each new window into it's old irregular opening. The job took much longer and went over budget due to the nature of working with an older, poorly built home. Brent did a good job of explaining the time needed and the cost as we went so I wasn't surprised at the end with a larger bill. You never know what you are getting into with an older home until you start ripping out the old stuff. The final product is amazing! I plan to have Brent replace all of the interior doors next month.

He did a great job. He went to Georgia Tech, so he's a great problem solver and engineer. He has always been right to the penny on budget. He has never come back and asked me for more money.

Very good job. Only negative is that they didn't do a great cleanup job after sanding down the drywall & closet patching (lots of dust on floor).

I have used Total Home Repair previously, I called and discussed with Brent the small amount of work I had, to rescreen the 6 downstairs windows. Brent explained that he would be able to work me into his schedule within the next couple weeks and I told him that it was not crtitical and I could be flexible. Brent called me yesterday to confirm he could perform the work today. He arrived on time and was able to quickly replace the screen material to our total satisfaction.
